Stopped on my way south to Elmhurst for Italian beef and sausage combo with green peppers dipped. Excellent, beef was thinly sliced, peppers done perfectly and the sauce was great. As a bonus they have tamales from the same company that made them in the 1950's when I lived in Chicago.

This is just a shame, i have gave this place so much business to be treated the way i was. Today, we have called in an order for pick up. The girl I had spoke with to my understanding was new. That's ok I have patience and understand that new hires can take time. Upon pick up i only had 1 item of the 3 i have ordered after she repeated the order. I asked to speak to someone else. The owner had answered and was extremely rude. He yelled and said that she was new and he got the rest of my order now then hung up on me. Then I sent in my boyfriend to pick up then while they were busy in front of everyone he rudly asked, "what do you want on your burger." Putting a bad taste in his mouth and embarrassing him, talking to him like he was not worth anything my boyfriend said forget the order. We will go elsewhere. The owner then gave him a shoo away hand gesture while ignorantly say have a nice day. Mr.G I am disappointed. I will not be going here any longer. There are many other good places that deserve the business and theat their customers with respect.

I go for the gyros 🥙 For over 20 years now I have been coming back to Mr. G's for the Gyros. It has always been one of those places. Even when we moved away, it was here we made sure we ate when visiting the area. Great portions, all the flavors are spot on. AND they have homemade baklava that everyone should try at least once...all around a great place to stop for lunch or dinner.

I’ve been going to Mr G’s since I was a kid and my moms been going for 25+ years. Best Gyro spot in the Midwest! I moved a couple hours away but I still drive out here JUST for Mr G’s Gyros and the amazing Tzatziki sauce that they make from scratch. Family run business they are super friendly! The food always tastes the same every time. They know what they’re doing! Anyone who hasn’t had Mr G’s needs to try it and anyone who has had it knows they don’t get the attention they deserve. Anytime I go in the lines are short. Very slept on family owned restaurant. Anyone who likes food needs to check this place out!

I love this place and drive from Wisconsin to eat here! Everything I have ever ordered here, Italian beef, gyros, mozzarella sticks, hot dogs, it has all been EXCELLENT!! The owner is there a lot and just loves to chat with people and his positive attitude is just infectious!!

They have the best gyros. I’ve been coming here for years and the service is always great. They have never made a mistake on any of my orders and the food is always quality.

It's a family owned business and we've been going there for years. Everyone is friendly, they get you in and out quickly and food is good.

Best place in the area for gyros. All the employees are great and every time I go there the service is on point. Feel like family every time I order. I highly recommend eating here!
