Great ZZTop & Collective Soul concert incl fireworks. Security & parking staff were very helpful & friendly. Will probably return for the McHenry Co Fair.

Make sure to check out this certified organic Banford Road Farm when you come! My favourites are: salad mix, kale, rainbow chard, beets, carrots, radishes, dill and cilantro and tomatoes! I drove an hour for this farm!

Always attend for the yearly (September) Truck Off festival. Thankful for how organized, neat, clean, and considerate the event planners and sponsors put together

The McHenry County Fairgrounds host all kinds of activities throughout the year, but they shine the brightest during the annual summer Fair. This year, local businesses and exhibitors banded together to raise money to pave the formally all-gravel pathways. This made a huge difference in the amount of dust and dirt being kicked up, and also made the fairgrounds much more accessible for those with mobility difficulties, or those using wheelchairs or strollers. It was definitely money well spent!

Old, but grounds are laid out well and events are always fun

Very nice .a great family outing, went early in the day. Saw all the animal exhibits and judging for the 4H clubs. Food vendors a plenty. Not over priced. Agood day.

Long family history here and I could not imagine my summer without it! I have visited 20 different county fairs across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Some of the not so good fairs I've visited did not have a carnival (no rides/games), only two to three food vendors, limited selection of free entertainment, no parking lot and charged $10 to get into! The McHenry County Fair has a great sized carnival, large selection of food vendors, free onsite parking, low admission price, free entertainment for your family scattered throughout the entire fairgrounds, and much more! This is by far one of my favorite fairs and one of the best not only because of my family history here but mostly because of what I've seen at other fairs. The McHenry County Fair Association works hard throughout the entire year to come up with new improvements for next years fair. This is a cycle that never ends and this is something I came to realize other fairs don't do and it really shows. I highly encourage you to visit this years McHenry County Fair in August! You won't regret it!
