Went on a Saturday and was surprised it wasn't busy after 5pm it did pick up later after we left. My son enjoyed it and was able to race at a comfortable speed with other kids around his age. It's great that there's a separate track for adults. The only thing is my son was the only 7 year old there so we had to wait for some other kids to show up for him to race with. He was going to do some laps alone but it's more fun to race with someone. So definitely bring your kids, your friends kids, and your neighbors kids lol. The more the merrier!

Would not let my son ride on his birthday despite being tall enough. Had no sympathy or care offered when delivering the information. Staff had a terrible attitude. “Arcade” consists of a broken air hockey table, claw machine and one deer hunter game - no exaggeration. This place sucks. The cars are fast and my son loves driving so it is really sad. Maybe the other location is more well run. Would give zero stars if possible.

Amazing Tracks and so much fun. Wonderful and very helpful customer service. The Go karts are electric but very fast. Great place to have fun and make great memories. They have 2 tracks, One for adults and one for kids shorter the 58 inches. The bar and restaurant area on the observation deck that is on the second floor is nice. Elevator available for anyone. They also host birthday parties. You get one free race on your birthday month when you get the mandatory 1 year membership. You get your lap times handed to you after your race and also emailed to you.

We LOVED K1. Parking was great, staff is friendly and professional, all riding gear available if you need it and you can get in fast even if it's busy. I recommend doing at least 3 sessions because once you ride, it's fun to try to beat your times of best lap. Also recommend bring friends. Competition is awesome. Highly recommend going to K1. WE LOVE IT everytime we go!!!!

Great place for indoor karting! Karts go at a great speed! Be advise: many first timers come here a lot, which could be potentially annoying in terms of trying to get past them. Otherwise great staff and much fun!

K1 in Buffalo used to be good, years ago. Avoid at all costs. Last couple times we went I requested fastest speed multiple times and was told I had to be lapping at a certain time. I've beaten the lap time for fastest speed level by nearly half a second almost every lap and was still told no, so much for trying to be competitive. They don't want their leaderboards to change... Can't be competitive when employees won't allow max speed even with small group. Both of the last times we went we paid for 3 races and after 1 race we waited hours between races only to be told we only paid for 1 race. After they "investigated" they let us finish our races. This happened twice and on two separate visits. The last time it happened I complained that this was the second time and they said, "Yea, it's an ongoing problem." They shouldn't even bother showing monthly fastest lap times if they don't let veteran kart racers use fastest speeds. Friends of employees were on fastest speed level the entire time we were racing and we couldn't come anywhere near their speeds. I was personally told by an employee I'd be put on fastest speed only to left on a slower speed because "the supervisor" didn't want to bump anyone up. When I called him out on it, he got upset saying he was in charge. Pathetic. Don't go to this location. Incompetence all around.

We have been here several times. Go karts are great with excellent speed. There is a separate track for kids which is nice. The four stars is because of the price and the fact that they do not always turn the speed up all the way on the karts.

My kids celebrated their birthday with friends racing around the track. Facility was very clean and staff there were really nice and very helpful with any questions that we had. Would definitely come back in the future with an adults party. The pizza was great. Didn't have a chance to try anything else, but that's for next time.

Waiting, waiting, waiting. They said 40 minutes and it was 2 hours. The race track is not that big and they only use HALF of it. They have an arcade in the second floor and smells and is hot. I wouldn’t mind paying 150 for 4 people but with a total different experience. Not worth it at all.

This was so much more fun than we anticipated, for the adults and for my kid! Blake was especially amazing at his job: he calmed my fraidy kid quickly and effectively without stopping the action or calling attention to him. My 8yo first time driver started scared and finished beaming with pride because of Blake’s encouragement. The rest of the staff was energetic and happy to be there and happy to be helpful. Chat with them and they come to life. They will leave you alone and let you ignore them if you prefer, but chat them up to elevate your experience!

The highlight, of course, was the indoor go-kart track. The karts were fast and well-maintained, providing an exhilarating experience for racing enthusiasts of all ages. The track layout was well-designed, offering challenging turns and straightaways that got the adrenaline pumping. Upstairs, there's an arcade, providing a welcome break from the go-kart action. It was a great way to unwind and have some fun between races, especially for those not behind the wheel. And let's not forget the bar. The presence of a bar added a new dimension to the experience. After a thrilling race, you could head over for a refreshing drink. The bar will hold your card if you chose to leave your tab open.

I go every week to keep up on my basics between being able to afford SCCA races. The staff are all nice, and when they recognize you as a regular, they let you get on with your stint. Karts are pretty equal albeit some are marginally better than others which is to be expected, but the racing is fun and hot lapping is fun. The track is also not like other K1 layouts I've seen, where on other locations it looks like you never have to brake, this course is actually rather tricky in a couple of spots! I shall continue to go for my practice/therapy as long as I can!

We had a blast! Everyone had a good time we had one bad crash but no injuries thank God! It made me nervous to see it since it was my first time driving. I didn't back out though... I only made it thru 9 laps but I also was the last diver out. I felt like I was going super fast and would catch up band pass some folks by but that was all in my head. I screamed on every curve it was so much fun and adrenaline booster for sure.

Kids had a great time. But it's pricey. Wish they had better packages. Couldn't even get the t-shirt that was supposed to come with the membership they make you purchase, and I had to buy 3! Time just goes by too fast for the money spent.

Pathetic time management, they dial down the speed of the carts, put people not in your group, in your group. You allow their carts to be dialed up to full speed, and let mine be half speed. I had to ask twice for mine to be dialed up. I'm an ex formula ford racer from Australia. And to have kids fly past me like I was standing still was unacceptable. The wait times between sets is so long. And mention it to staff, and they don't care. Would never return. Really unimpressed. And for what we all paid, really disappointed.

Love the staff and way better customer service than other K1s’ in illinois. I talked to one of the track operators about their cars and he was nice about the criticism! Cars for sure need better tires and grip but that’s a corporate thing. That’s why I’m giving it a 4! Please put on better tires so they warm up faster. Some people actually tryna gain skills and cut those turns as fast as possible 💪🏽🏎️

Great place for families, young and the not-so-young, to get some adrenaline flowing! I wouldn't suggest doing their "drift" races though. The time we were there, I had a chance to watch a couple of races and all they did was spin out on every turn. It just really didn't look fun at all.

Amazing front desk and track staff. Customer service was in point. Chris, Danny and the track staff were very helpful with my friends and I with our races! Will come back again with family and friend's.

I loved going to K 1 for my birthday and it was very fun. The food was great and the service. But I had a problem with the track layout. The track layout caused me to get motion sick a tad bit. I think a new track layout that takes over the kid track would be good. Other then that I loved the place and highly recommend.

Had a great time and experience at K1 Speed Buffalo Grove. From the check-in and registration process to the briefing session before the race, the staff were welcoming and service was great. I felt safe and comfortable asking questions about the sleeve, helmet, racing flags, and functionality of the kart. Food and drinks were pretty good as well. I wouldn't mind visiting again.

This is my first time at this location. Decided to wait upstairs at the bar area and John was such a great host. He kept us entertained and answered all of our questions. This was a great choice for us, because we were new to the area. Thank You John for a awesome service. Also, to the young lady at the front desk that helped us sign in. Thank You! I would highly recommend.

Great experience for a bachelor party weekend. Pizza that came with the package was better than expected. Bartender was very friendly and always checking in on us. Racing was a blast.

My 9 year old just had her birthday here at the Buffalo Grove, IL location. It was seamless execution from start to finish. The booking was super easy- even though I was initially skeptical going through someone based in Irvine. Check in went smooth and quickly, and the staff immediately gathered the group of 10 and explained all of the rules to them. The staff members also made sure we had everything we needed food/drink wise, and even got me extras that I needed very quickly (lighter, cake knife, extra plates, etc). There were a lot of transitions- first you have a qualifying round, then take a short break in your party area while the cars charge, then do the final race, award ceremony, then food. Each transition was seamless and timely and we were never left waiting on staff for anything. They were all very friendly and courteous and overall made this an amazing place to have a birthday party!!! We will definitely be back!

You asked how you did. My reply, in just a few words--"You did great!" Our group was whisked through registration and brought into our private room (this was the only disappointment in that we were promised a private room but once I arrived was told I would have to pay $100 for it), and the racing was well organized and fun. Catering was on point, and our server was attentive, as well! We bring a group somewhere every year for my wife and my birthdays, and have found the past few years that K1 is a great choice!

The race cars were small but fast. They're was a minor issue on first lap where both ours stopped my door was not on or near the brake. They start out at about 5 mph and they go up to around 35 mph. Supposedly if not crowded and doing well or doing more than one race it is possible for them to get up to near 45 mph. A race is 12 laps around the track. The waiver, membership, head sock, and use of helmet is$ 7.95 one race is 27.95. two races are $49.95. this is per person. We only did the race cars didnot check out the arcade, pool tables or bar snack area. As for the cars they were fun. I started getting dizzy after 9 lap. It was very fun. For those that think it is expensive I would say we have places in Michigan where the karts go 25 mph, and you get 3 laps for $45 instead of 12 laps. I enjoyed it and was very worthwhile. 😊❤️
