I’ve never been more disappointed in a restaurant in my life. I’ve been going to this restaurant and this specific location every week for the past few months. I go there so often even the employees recognize my order. I spent over $50 on my recent order. The chicken and rice bowls firstly were barely full. It was half the container. And the food smelled very much spoiled. I wasn’t able to eat the food. I chose to call them and make a complaint. When I called the employees and owner refused to believe their food had gone bad. They kept claiming their food is “always fresh” and it was simply “impossible” for their food to have gone bad. The owner then started arguing with me for 19 minutes- stating: “I am disappointed in this community” “everyone just wants free food”. The owner refused to cooperate when I stated multiple times that I don’t want an argument and to please give me my refund. I even offered to bring their spoiled food back to them for proof. If I could give zero stars I would. What should have been a simple 5 minute exchange turned into a very unnecessary 20 minute argument where the owner continued to be disrespectful. He also said something along the lines of: “you people are used to people becoming little in front of you”. All because their food had gone bad. The most disrespectful, disappointing, unprofessional management and owner.

This was our first experience with The Port of Peri Peri when we dined-in on July 29th, 2022 at around 7pm and we were NOT impressed with the service or the restaurant for the dine-in experience. The restaurant had about 1 other family dining at the time. First off…watch your step going into the building as there is a step up as you enter (this really should have some yellow caution tape so people notice). One of our members slightly tripped on this step. Upon entering the building there was nobody at the front counter to welcome us in and as a new customer we were looking around trying to find menus. Eventually we the menus taped to the top of the front counter and started reviewing what we want. If you’ve had Peri Peri chicken before…it’s a very similar menu to other restaurants in the area, which is fine. A staff member eventually came to the front counter to take our order, but was not very helpful. Not a “welcome in…is this your first time dining with us? Do you have questions about anything on the menu?” conversation. Just stood there waiting for us to give him our order. Again, as a new customer…this isn’t welcoming AT ALL. He seemed more annoyed to be there than anything. Once we placed our order…we found a table to sit at and waited for our food. The table was a bit sticky and there was food on the seats that we needed to brush off. It was almost as if someone wiped down the table and didn’t catch the food in their hand…they just wiped it off the table letting it land on the chairs and the floor. When looking at the floors there was a fair amount of food (some larger pieces of chicken) on them as if they hadn’t been swept in a while. When looking at the windows/glass door, it looks like they hadn’t been washed in forever either. It doesn’t really affect our dining experience…but it makes you question how clean things are in the kitchen. And honestly…there was only 1 other family dining. This place wasn’t busy…the staff member that took our order could be sweeping and cleaning areas while waiting for our food to be prepared. When our food was finished, the employee that took our order delivered it to our table. Again, it felt like he was more annoyed than anything. He put the food on our table without saying anything and walked away. No “is there anything else you need?” or “does everything look okay?”…he just didn’t care. This is TERRIBLE customer service from the first person your diners see and interface with. The food was pretty good. We had the lemon & herb chicken, fries, peri peri rice, and perimayo corn. Again, no complains about the food…it was all very good. Overall, it’s disappointing the terrible service and the dirty restaurant overshadows the food so much. I don’t anticipate dining here in the future. And honestly, with other Peri Peri chicken options in the area, I don’t see why I wouldn’t just order from them if I don’t want to dine in somewhere. Most of these issues are really just staffing issues. If you get some well trained staff that cares about the customer experience and keeping the place clean…I could honestly see more people dining there.

Too good to take pics before you take a bite. This is our to go to for great chicken. The chicken burger in ciabatta bun and chicken+wings is perfect. Love their fresh fries and white garlic sauce. Halal goodness — As flavorful as their chicken is, as bland as their vegetables are. Do not get their steamed vegetables. Taste like frozen microwaved veggies.

The food is delicious. The service, not very pleasant. We arrived at 2:45 pm and the tables were not set, cutlery was not in its place, the temperature was really hot. The server was extremely rude and was on his phone most of the time. Our order arrived in parts; the chicken arrived first and the rice took an additional ten minutes. The flavor was salty due to the attitude of the server.

The worst customer service experience received by the manager Rasha Al Khatab. We received the wrong order and she refused to give us the correct order. We didn't end up eating anything but paid for everything and left the restaurant. She had a very bad attitude, was rude, and unprofessional. She also had no knowledge about the food or business. I even tried to email the owner Syed Pasha and corporate multiple times and did not receive a response. On top of it restaurant is dirty the health dept had to come out. Tables are not clean, floors are dirty, sinks outside of washroom have no paper towels and mold everywhere. No one is wearing masks, hair nets, or gloves. Terrible experience!!!!

2 stars is generous. The first thing I noticed is that the doors are filthy. As much as they have responded to reviews one would think that they would see how many say how dirty the restaurant is. Upon entry there was a man eating with 'Port of PeriPeri" shirt on (also very dirty). He just looked at me, I said hello, he said nothing. Not a warm greeting for a new customer. I stood at the counter for about 30 seconds then the man got up and walked to an alcove to the left side, then went back to sit down. I waited about 30 seconds more, and a man came from behind the counter from the right side... so I don't know what that was about. Anyway...there was nothing special about the chicken - I can grill chicken and put sauce on it. The rice was dry. The coleslaw, slimy. I threw the slaw out, the chicken did have a good texture so I'm taking the rest home to add to something - anything - with some flavor. I don't know if I can do anything with the rice. All of that being said I will not be returning.

DIRTY! No napkins and no soap; tables weren’t clean. Workers didn’t wear hair nets. Didn’t wash hands before cooking either. Food is okay. I wouldn’t trust them to keep the food clean.

We ordered herbs for kids and chilli chicken for us , the chilli was way too hot for us so the chef was kind enough to fix it for us and made it mild , we appreciate it a lot . Herb chicken is so scrumptious that it has become our family favorite now.

The chicken was really good. Super juicy and the sides were nice too. But the dining part of the restaurant was a little dirty. It really could do with a good deep clean.

Nice lunch spot with good service. We got a platter that serves 1-2 people. The portion size is pretty large and for us, could definitely serve another person. Overall, chicken and corn were tasty and definitely worth trying out.

Hands down the best chicken around. This place deserves 5 stars by every customer. Food was beyond awesome and their customer service was just great. Chicken was so good that I would have easily paid twice as much for what we ate. It was super busy when we walked in but it's worth the wait because the food was incredibly delicious. They also let you choose the heat levels of their hot sauce. Go for the extra hot if you feel ballsy😉 PS: Thanks Sameer for your excellent service.

The food here is excellent. I ate at their Southern California location and this one is MUCH better. Great service, good quality chicken, and nice atmosphere.

Affordable and delicious halal option for Mishawaka locals! The people there are very sweet as well! Their medium sauce was spicy enough for me!

Don't waste your time or money. I had my dinner delivered to my hotel. It arrived within an hour. The order was filled correctly. I was disappointed to receive no napkins or cutlery, especially considering how messy the meal was. Double-patty burger was a good portion of food. The sauce was way too heavy, which made it a horrible mess to eat - and not in a good way. The sauce was so overly salty that I couldn't finish the whole sandwich. The corn was tasty and fresh but was a little spicier than I expected. The potato salad was forgettable. The pita bread was fresh and still warm. The cheesecake rolls were the only redeeming part of my meal.

Dirty place, sticky tables and floor. Sticky sauce bottles. The staff seemed like they are done with life and as soon as we walked in we were greeted with such unwelcoming looks that we immediately regretted our decision of coming here as a family of 10 people including kids.

If i could give these guys 0 stars I would. Time and time again they mess up almost every take out order I have ordered from them since this location opened. Workers need to be trained better .

Good food and everything, but a little more on the expensive side. Wings w/ a whole meal you can get within a 15$ budget for yourself at Wingstop, you would end up paying close to double the price here. The quality and quantity is definitely not worth paying double, but nevertheless, this is not a quick food restaurant, it's a fine dining. Alright food for the price and okay restaurant. Wouldn't go many times just bc of the price an quantity. If you're coming in with family, expect to pay around 100$ and if you're coming alone, expect around $35.

Food was great except it was a bit spicy. We underestimated the spice level. But flavour was awesome. We took the whole chicken, corn and coleslaw. All of them were really good. And meat was halal. I would recommend this place.

Loved the taste of charred chicken with hot sauce. They also give garlic and hot sauce on the side. Fries were seasoned and spicy as well. If you can’t tolerate a lot of heat, go with mild and you can always uses sauces on the side to make things spicy…

The chicken was juicy and super flavorful. Bonus on my way out the woman asked me if I enjoyed my meal which made it a wonderful experience.

Great food. But hugely understaffed. Poor hijabi lady looked exhausted and so did the guy at the grill in the back. Took over 40 mins to collect an order that was ordered 10 mins earlier. It was just 3 meals.
