Saturday night, not too crowded. The deep dish pizza was really great - thick and flavorful, super generous with cheese. Staff was friendly and kept checking in to see if I was ok. Lots of vibes here. Recommended to come catch up with friends.

Woah, this place is so good and reasonably priced for Chicago! Excellent service - super fast and friendly. Really delicious food- the pizza is amazing and the Italian beef was top tier! I will be back to eat both soon!! The prices don’t even compare to other pizza places in the area. They have a large and lovely outside seating section. Inside is spacious and has tons of TVs for your any sport watching enjoyment. Definitely will be back to try their deep dish pizza but can’t recommend enough!

We called and ordered ahead. This was to save time, since we had to travel an hour to get here. Not every pizza place allows this, so it was really appreciated. The deep dish pizza was hot and perfect!!! The buttery crust had an ever so slight burnt edge with a bit of caramelized flavor. The waiter had the pie on our table, before I could get my jacket off. The wait staff were on point, tag teaming the entire meal. I couldn't get halfway on my drink before someone offered a refill. In addition to the pizza, we tried their nachos. It was piled high with ground beef, tomatoes, cheese, and jalapeños. I apologize ahead of time on the pictures. The food was so fast on the table, and looked and tasted so good, I forgot to take the photos until we were half done. It was that good!!! The only points that have to be noted was the tight neighborhood parking and the single occupancy bathrooms for a popular establishment. That aside, a wonderful evening with great food and a fantastic team of servers. A definite plan to come back!!!

Best place in Uptown, Buena Park neighborhood for cheap beers while watching sports. Important Note: THIS IS A DOG FRIENDLY PLACE 🐶 Went here during a football game and this place was lively. Cheering everywhere. Enjoyed the beer with Buffalo wings, tater tots, thin crust vegetable pizza. You can customize your pizza.

First visit and we fell in love with the vibe. Super friendly neighborhood joint with pizza, wings, burgers and more. Tons of TVs everywhere you look. It's a fun-loud place. We will be back!

The most noticeable thing walking into this place is the epic collection of memorabilia which I did not even finish perusing before the pizza came out. I really think tavern pizza is the way to go in Chicago. It’s fun to share and it doesn’t feel too overwhelming. The spaghetti was simple and really good. Garlic bread also great. Cesar was a bit over dressed for me but good for the majority of the group

Michael's is a neighborhood (Buena Park) institution. Real Chicagoans know that the best pizza in the city is found in neighborhood joints like this, not the big chains. I love their deep dish and prefer eat it there. It's served in the traditional, beat-up metal pan of deliciousness. Wings and Italian beefs are also good. The crust on the the thin crust can be a bit dry sometimes, but overall solid.

Michael’s is our favorite spot in our neighborhood. There’s a reason they’ve been around for over 20 years. The service is amazing. Everytime we go there the staff is incredibly friendly- even when they are slammed. (Shout out to Rueben especially!) It’s called Michael’s pizza, so, yes they have great pizza for sure. However, their other options are not to be overlooked. My personal favorite is the Buffalo chicken wrap. It’s delicious- and at under $7 it’s a steal. I order that to-go on a weekly basis since we’ve moved into our new condo. Lastly, and my favorite thing about Michael’s is how dog friendly their patio is. They bring your dog water and you can order a side of chicken just for your little bud. My dog LOVES Michael’s. If Michael’s is not already on your pup patio list for summer, add it now! And if you don’t have a dog, still a must visit in Buena Park, trust me.

I ordered a small thin crust pizza with ground beef and banana peppers. I was told the wait would be 35mins and my food was ready when I arrived. I even got a 1 liter drink included with my purchase. The pizza was really good but I give a 4 cuz it could have a bit more flavor. Overall I would return!

Pizza is very good, though the hand tossed (supposedly regular thickness) is thin crust but it is fresh and tasty. So make sure you order double dough to get regular hand-tossed thickness. Chicken and wings are also good. Friendly service and cozy in door setting.

Pizza was ok, but reasonably priced. Drink selection is typical for a spot bar. Waiter tried it's best, but the music was too loud to easily make order. Probably, should have tried buffalo wings instead.

We needed a late night dinner and Michael's was just a couple blocks from where we were staying. The reviews looked good in general and there were good comments for their Italian Beef sandwich - which I have never had, but I'm in Chicago so I gotta try one. It was a little busy when we got there but we were quickly seated and asked for our drink order. There was one local craft beer on tap that I wanted, and it was supposed to be specially priced this night - bonus! Unfortunately, the waitress said they were out of it. Not a good start, so I get iced tea instead (no substitute special priced or other local beer was offered to me). Then we ordered wings (they get great reviews) and the Italian beef sandwich. Unfortunately, they are out of wings. Not good again - 2 of the 3 things I came here for are not available. We get Buffalo shrimp instead. From this point on, our waitress is almost nonexistent to us. No refills, we have to flag her down for the bill, etc. The buffalo shrimp were quite tasty. The Italian beef sandwich, on the other hand, was just not good. It was big, but it was dry, like a cheesesteak without flavor. The 3rd thing I wanted is no good. Surely this can't be the famous Chicago sandwich. I am clearly going to have to go elsewhere for this sandwich.

I got to this restaurant not too long before closed for the night. I ordered a medium sausage pizza. I see why this place is usually packed as I drive by. The pizza is very good. Great place to watch a game, eat some great food from the various items on their menu, and meet some friends.

Mediocre food. They seem to be big on pizza, which I didn’t try and can’t comment, however anything else on the menus is plain, basic and not worth your stomach space. Had a Greek salad, the portion was big yet primarily a bowl of lettuce with a few other ingredients, chicken wings were very dry and uneatable.

Cozy older neighborhood tavern with lots of TVs for enjoying sports. Pizza is good as is the draft beer selection. The staff is friendly and kind. I felt very comfortable dining alone and look forward to going again.

Been coming here for many years and it's consistently excellent. The thin crust pizza pie is among the best the city has to offer; crust is cracker-thin, sauce is well balanced (not too sweet or tart) and toppings are fresh and savory. Combined with friendly staff, fun & neighborhood-y atmosphere, VERY reasonable prices and specials make for a great time every time.

Michael's is the go-to spot in our Buena Park neighborhood. I've been there many times and the service and food is always exceptional. The owners are great and very active in our community! As a member of the Buena Park Neighbors and local real estate advisor, I think Michael's adds a huge value to our neighborhood. The owners have helped organize events for our community board in the past and I will always give this place a 10/10! The wings and pizza are amazing, definitely give it a try if you haven't already!

Great manager in the front. He was really kind. The pizza was great, the crust was amazing, and the flavor was awesome. Their beef was juicy and mushroom was good as well and the plain cheese was great. Sweet sauce and it tasted awesome when I added olive oil. The picture provided is before I added the olive oil.

Staff was fast, professional, and kind. The food (I had a tavern style pizza) was good and not all that expensive. While I'm not sure if I'll come back here in some time as it's a bit out of the way from me, I thought that this place was well worth the visit, my only real complaint is that there is only single person restrooms. Given how much the people were at the establishment, it felt like I had to be on the lookout for when it opened.

Classic spot. Great Chicago atmosphere and excellent service. The Italian Beef was very good and the highlight of the visit. The thin-sliced beef was doused with cheese and served with the au jus. Very good (I cheated and had a bite - had to taste!). We also got mozzarella sticks which were devoured by the table instantly. Hot and melty with warm marinara. Hot crinkle cut fries for the table. Finally, we ordered a deep dish pizza and filled up on one slice each. We basically shared everything and it was plenty of food for 2 adults and 3 young kids. We took 3 slices of the deep dish home. Beer selection was okay and it seemed like drinks were flowing! TVs everywhere with Cubs audio through the overhead speakers during gametime. I am by no means a deep dish expert so please take what I am about to say knowing I have had incredible pizza - mostly thin crust - in NYC for most of my adult life and this was my first deep dish pizza experience in Chicago. The pizza was not that good. The sauce was too sweet and not enough flavor, and the dough overwhelmed the dish with a flavor that tasted like it was out of a pilsbury can. No cheese flavor at all although I could definitely see cheese! If this is one of the best examples of Chicago deep dish, I will stick with my NY and Sicilian-style pizza I get back home. Will definitely try it again but somewhere else. Stick with the excellent beef sandwich at this spot.

Amazing service at atmosphere! Pablo was very attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. The whole crew worked together very well. Everybody was a great. 🍕 pizza was really good and perfectly done. I would definitely come back here again for the great service and food quality .

Great and very classic American sports bar. They have a zillion TVs, nice dim lighting, lots of neon, good beers and good pizzas. Also the tater tots are fabulous, definitely have the tater tots.

Had a fantastic classic Chicago tavern style pizza here. Had to drive about 15 minutes home with the pizza in the box and it was still hot and crispy, so I can only imagine how great they just be fresh in the restaurant. Can't wait to dine in. I ordered mine well done and it was great.

Most amazing Italian beef I've had in a long time! The sweet potato fries were completely perfect, I'm still thinking about them now. Our server was incredible and we didn't wait very long. It was pretty dimly lit so we couldn't tell how clean it was and it felt a little isolating because of the dark lighting. The TVs had a good variety of programs available and the restrooms were pleasant, definitely coming back and maybe sitting towards the more well lit front of the tables!

Had pizza and wings. Both were ok, nothing special. Pizza is thin crust, which was good. Everything on top was so so. Nothing stood out. Wings were deep fried and then put into a bowl until sauce is dripping. Buffalo sauce was bland to fair. Blue cheese side offered in a little plastic cup. Blah. Draft beer menu is a plus

I wanted to try the pizza for the good reviews. It is a pretty good one except for the marina sauce which is very sweet. The ingredients tasted fresh and the service was great.

One of my Favorite Places to go when I visit my home town Chicago. I've been going here since my younger years. Love their food, drinks and the staff is like family. Such amazing people.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Chicago. The deep dish is solid but the tavern style pizza is flawless and reminds me of an elevated version of my hometown’s beloved Saint Louis style pizza (with real high-quality cheese though!). Their wings are some of the best wings I’ve ever had and the nachos are incredible. And now today I just found out they low key have one of the best Italian beefs in the city. This place not only does it all, but it does everything perfectly right. They easily could double a lot of their prices but I’m so glad they haven’t, because I’ll be here every week. I’m definitely taking my whole family here next time they visit CHI.
