Thoroughly disappointed with this restaurant. Our server was very kind and the decorations were nice, but the food was mediocre at best. For such an expensive restaurant, you would expect quality food, but it was greasy and the egg sauce is gross. The only dish I'd say was worth it was the chocolate lava cake, which was after the hibachi experience of course. Would not recommend.

Love this - hands down, this has to be my favorite teppanyaki place in the Chicago area. Food was delicious, especially that egg sauce and service was wonderful. Looking forward to going back again! Perfect place to celebrate a birthday, too.

Great restaurant and atmosphere. The interior design is amazing. You might have a feeling you are in Japan. We really like the menu and preparation.

This is my favorite restaurant!! The food is beyond delicious and the location is beautiful. The chefs are incredibly friendly. Fast service and accommodating to any special needs. The egg yolk sauce is the best ever! The meat and lobster tail is so good and the best I’ve ever had at a Japanese steakhouse. It’s pricey but a good value for your $$&&

I have been going to Ron’s since the seventies. The shogun dinner is incredible. The egg sauce is the best. I was there tonight and I had the best waitress that I ever had. Her name was Gigi and from the minute we sat down she was there for us. She had a great personality and made sure our experience at Ron’s was the best. Next time I go back I will ask for here, even if it means waiting longer for a table.

AWESOME PLACE! AWESOME STAFF! My family and I have been coming here since 1986! Oscar is the best host! Our waitress Gigi served us like we were family! She's the best too!!! We arrived early for our reservation with our two young children. We were seated promptly and our server, Qi, greeted us immediately and got us drinks. She brought some cherries for my daughter who she could tell was anxious about the fire that the cook would make. She made sure our food came out quickly and our chef assured our daughter that she wouldn't make a flame. Our child loved her dinner and the service from the chef and waitress really helped calm everything down. We were able to enjoy our dinners and as we were sitting there checked on Google maps and we have had dinner over 20(!) times but last night the service was so good I had to leave a review.

It was my daughter’s birthday and we were looking for a good restaurant to eat at before a concert. What a major disappointment. We walked in, and it kind of looks like the restaurant was abandoned hardly any people there. And now I know why. Our server was very pushy and didn’t leave us alone. While we were eating, she sat and stared at us most of the time which made my daughter uncomfortable. The food was not what we were expecting at all the vegetables were bland. The beef fried rice was so disgusting!!! I would never come back to this restaurant, even if someone paid me. What a waste of money.
