I recently came here for the first time to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday evening and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming from the minute my group of three arrived. Our waiter, whose name I can't recall, was attentive and friendly. My party shared the meatball appetizer and thouuht it was so delicious. I had the rigatoni rocco with spicy vodka sauce for my main course and it was fantastic. You could tell that the pasta was handmade. For dessert, I had the chocolate souffle with a scoop of vanilla on top and it was the perfect sized dessert. The restaurant was a tad bit noisy in my opinion because there were groups dining with babies, toddlers, and kids. But overall it was a pleasant experience and people were really kind. I would definitely come back here for the delicious food and great service.

Our first time here and our meal was superb! For appetizers we had the grilled artichokes. Stuffed clams. Beet salad and calamari. One was better then the next! The salad and the artichokes were prepared with the most amazing burrata cheese! Our pasta dishes were also excellent! Pepe and caccio was my favorite. Dinner entrees were plentiful and also very flavorful! Even though we were overstuffed, we had to have the apple d sweet and gelato! The staff as very attentive and friendly. Sandro was a pleasure to meet and takes very good care of you! Make a reservation ASAP!

Cozy Italian neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. The owner greeted us and checked up multiple times which is rare these days. We had the pappardelle with wild mushroom this one best pasta dishes I have ever eaten. The bone in veal chop was delicious and cooked perfectly. Will be coming back for sure.

I have to give it to this place for the ambiance especially given its location is not ideal on a busy boulevard. The food on the other hand was not amazing. Worse yet the service was downright poor. They had the bust boys taking our order but they didn't speak English. We had the staff check in on our food after we were basically finished with it. Overall I think it's a good place for a date but don't go there for the food or the service. Just know what you're getting yourself into.

The food was undoubtedly great - the pastas, chicken dishes, salads and crostini were all of high quality ingredients. However, the outdated, poorly maintained furniture, musty smell, and unaccommodating host distracted too much from what could have been a great restaurant. I might order takeout, but probably wouldn't dine in again.

First time here definitely not our last!!! I love everything about Sandros. The food is amazing!!!! The service incredible!!! Will definitely be back next week, highly recommend!!!

We walked into this Italian restaurant on a Friday evening at 6:35pm, without a reservation. They were kindly enough to accommodate us, with one condition: leave the table by 8:15 for 8:30 diners. Fair enough, thank you. The house specials. The waiting staff's accent meets my inadequate English, the list seems extremely long. Not to disappoint him, I ordered the first two that I remembered. The fried calamari (did he say fried? ...) is soft and pretty good. The grill cheese showed I clearly didn't understand or remember. Three pasta off the menu are really good, al dente and tasty. Tuscany's Chianti Ser Jacopo is yummy. Their bathroom is a floor below. I joking asked if I could ride their elevator - my legs aren't as fresh as 20 years ago. The young man was kindly escort me down. Guess it's not for the average Janes or Joes. I though we have more than enough time but with three kids, we barely kept our promise: left at 8:08. The lonesome duckie is still in the parking lot.

We had an amazing dinner at Sandro's Italian in Manhasset. The MOZZARELLA IN CARROZZA with spicy Vodka sauce was great. CALAMARI ARRABIATA was nicely spiced aggressively but not overwhelming. BUCATINI & CLAMS , house-made pasts with fresh clams, nice combination of beautiful olive oil and butter to give it that texture you get in Rome. Speaking of Rome the Roman classic BUCATINI CARBONARA was executed perfect !! Guanciale was crispy and delicious with nicely fond egg, pepper and cheese sauce. Cannoli was house made crispy shell and delicious filling ! Service was friendly and competent. Overall an experience worth repeating !!

Incredible restaurant and so happy they opened up in the area. The serve the freshest pastas around and dishes that you generally don’t find on Italian restaurant menus. Particularly love their carbonara which is made without any cream (too many places nearby use cream in theirs) and served with a wholesome bucatini pasta. Their meatball appetizer is mouthwatering.

We went to Sandro‘s for the first time at the hearing so many good things we had to try it out for ourselves. The restaurant is quaint, clean and well laid out. We were seated and immediately welcomed by the staff and chef/owner allesandro. We had the artichoke with goat cheese appetizer, Caesar salad, Sicilian eggplant and the calamari Arrabiata. All were undoubtedly packed with flavor and delicious. For the main course we had the black linguine seafood pasta, the vodka à la Rocco It was simply amazing. The desserts were amazing as well. I highly recommend the tiramisu and the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream if it’s available. This will be our go to for special occasions and casual dining. This place is perfect! Amazing job!

Food is amazing spicy vodka was hands down the best vodka sauce i have ever had. deserts we're all made fresh, pastry was perfectly flaky. Couldn't ask for more

Visiting from Flowery Branch, GA first half of the month of May. Dinner with my mom on a Tuesday evening. Happy to find a wonderful dinner in Manhasset. Water: 5/5 Bread and olives: 4/5 ( excellent olives) Salad: 5/5 crispy artichoke salad w/ goat cheese Dinner Specials: 5/5 - Black linguine w/clams, shrimp, calamari… ( replace shrimp with more clams and calamari 👍)…black spaghetti was awesome! 3.5/5 - Black Angus filet mignon - meat lacked flavor and was dry, but the rest of the plate made up for it— spinach was good and potatoes good, and whatever covered the steak was really good—also I requested medium and got a well-done steak. Desserts: 4/5 Tiramisu (a bit dry at the bottom and the mascarpone portion was a bit dense) 5/5 Hazelnut Icecream **looking forward to trying an affogato with hazelnut Icecream!** 4.5/5 vanilla Icecream 4.5/5 decaf cappuccino Service was slow at first; but we walked in without reservations so that may be on us. Friendly staff, thank you Roberto for your kindness and for taking our picture! As for the filet mignon, you did the best with what you had to work with! Good job! I know it’s hard to find a source of good flavorful beef to begin with!

The food here is amazing and the service was top notch. My wife and I came here for our 10 year anniversary and they made it a perfect night for us. I definitely will be returning. The owner was very friendly and attentive, he went to every table making sure everyone was enjoying there dinner.

I had a birthday party here a couple of months ago and I am just getting to write a review but there is nothing negative I could say about Sandro’s from the first email to the day of they were kind accommodating and the food was delish I would definitely say visit Sandro’s from the moment your enter the restaurant your mouth begins to water from all the aromas permeating the air it’s a cozy atmosphere and the staff is warm and friendly You may think that 5 stars may be a bit over but try it for yourself
