Wow! This museum was filled with great information and history on the founder of Harlingen, Tx. Mr. Lon C. Hill. I loved touring his home, and seeing all of the beautiful antiques. I recommend stopping by and visiting this great establishment. The gentlemen greeted us with a smile and brief history and let us walk the museum in peace with family.

Great history within but more interesting is the history of medicine and the archaic tools doctors used for medical practices. Definitely a different world in a different time. The museum also seems to host touring exhibitions.

Had a great short free date with my girlfriend, was interesting to walk through the 2 historic buildings that are currently open. There was also a section with middle school kids paintings, of their favorite building in Harlingen. The paintings and the captions were fun to see. 👍🏾

There were some great historical displays at this place but I was actually there to see the Day of the Dead display which is there until early November I believe.

The culture museum was closed which we wanted to go. The buildings that were moved to there were closed because of climate. The quilt show was awesome took lots of pictures. Could only take pictures of the outside of the buildings we wanted to see. Ok only 4 stars because we did not get to see what we went for. Yes they are renovating the museum about the culture and history. Touring the houses or building was a disappointment since we couldn't.

The new H‑E‑B museum is so interesting! Loved seeing Harlingen’s history and learning something new. The historical buildings on the grounds are well preserved.

A step back into history. A great way to start a conversation with the kids about how everyday life used to be. Frequent visitor and will continue to be.

Local history is great. Local historic houses moved to this location, first hospital, and rehabbed. Another building showing lots of Local historical information, farming, etc. Two art galleries that exhibit various artists. With the visit. Free, donation encouraged .
