Been here many times but last night was the worst. I went with a party of 8 and the server was terrible. I guess because the server was aware she would get a good tip because of the gratuity. She never checked on us and she brought the soup and salad we had ordered at the same time we brought our food. We obviously wanted it before. Not only that but our soups were so cold. She never brought us bread and we had to ask for it twice and she finally brought it once we had our food.. my steak (filet Oscar) was freezing cold but I didn’t want to wait longer so I just ate it.. it was the worst experience ever. Then my husband received his “medium rare” ribeye on the bone (well done) so they brought him another that tasted absolutely awful. It was medium rare on the inside but on the outside it was completely burned. Another server even mentioned to us that our steak looked completely charred. We brought it to the server and managers attention and the manager said he would take it off our tab then he removed the steak from the table. The server then came back with the tab charging us things we never ordered plus the burned steak. Oh and did I mention the loaded potatoes were freezing as well and dry. When we mentioned being over charged to the server she got really rude and said she had talked to the manager for quite some time about charging us the steak. Like what?? You’d think that for a high end restaurant they’d atleast bring out warm and acceptable food.

One of the best happy hours I’ve been to in the area! Extensive cocktails options and a versatile food menu. Our bartender was very attentive and served us quickly!

Rudy took good care of me in the Cantina. Everything from the salad to the T bone to the Mac and cheese had a lot of flavor. T bone wasn’t overbooked. They had good bourbon selections at very reasonable prices. The live music definitely made it a better time. No doubt this is top notch fine dining in the valley.

I don’t come here often. When we do, we know to expect a large check at the end. However, we’ve never left disappointed. The ambiance is calm and relaxing. The tables were somewhat cramped together. I came with a large group of friends. Our server was very attentive. He made sure I was content with my special unique cocktail order. I especially loved the pianist music softly playing in the background. Our food was great.

Nice intimate setting, but a bit too dark. Staff was very friendly and food was good. I had the New York Steak and my husband had lamb. There was a piano player and the ambiance would've been better if it weren't for a large table of about 7-8 people seated right in the middle of the room (about 2 feet from us). The man at the head of the table had to talk loud enough for the ones on the end to hear, so you can imagine how that was.. maybe it would be best to sit large parties in a separate area? 🤷🏻‍♀️

The food was great! I love bread pudding dessert that my husband ordered. I ordered the chocolate ganache, it was good maybe too chocolatey for me and I needed some milk to drink it down. The calamari was good, we normally try calamari at every new restaurant to make comparisons. Wish it had something to dip it in. I splurged a little and had to try the Japanese Wagyu, it had great flavor 😋 But I didn't know it came with sides, so I ordered leek soup, which was super good! It comes with green beans/bacon and mashed potatoes. Julio was our server and was very attentive and explained a lot about the dishes. The experience was excellent 🙌

Amazing service and excellent quality food! I loved every moment of it. The fillet and quail combo recommended to me by the waiter was so wonderful and perfectly cooked.

Delicious dinner. Ordered the New York Strip medium, a side of asparagus, and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked to perfection, asparagus was good, and mashed potatoes were whatever. Overall delicious food. Service was mediocre compared to fine dining. It was my first time here so I'll be giving it another shot in the near future.

Fancy restaurant serving high quality food through a very nice service and a cozy atmosphere, if you're looking for a romantic restaurant or to impress someone, this is the right spot. We decided to give this place a try since we heard that it was the most voted restaurant by local people in 2023. As appetizers, we got various items: soup of the day (made of bone marrow with ham and veggies which was extremely good), lobster bisque (a creamy slightly spiced lobster soup, definitely a MUST try), calamari frito (another favorite one), mini beef wellingtons (served on top of a creamy sauce that tastes delicious) and chimichurri steak (honestly, one of the best chimichurri sauces I've ever tried, also the portobello that came with it was extremely tasty). As main dish we got the rack of lamb (medium well cooked is highly recommended) that came with perfectly cooked veggies and peach slices, the lamb flavor is a bit strong so I'd only recommend this dish if you like lamb. The other main dish we got was Filet Frances, which we asked medium rare cooked, it was juicy and tender with a great flavor. Finally as dessert we got the New York style cheesecake which was outstanding, and the corn bread with Mezcal Cajeta and vanilla ice cream, definitely something to die for, I'm not a huge fan of corn bread but this was amazingly good, the bread was warm which in combination with the coldness of the ice cream and the spike of the Mezcal Cajeta, it was a great experience for the palate. Everything we asked for was perfectly cooked, the presentation was on point and the waiter was very attentive as well. I highly recommend this place.

I wanted to take my wife out for our anniversary, try something different. I'm glad I took her to the Santa Fe Steakhouse. I called ahead about 30 minutes for a reservation, by the time I got there, our table was ready. We both started with guacamole with pieces of ribeye, was very good. Had some mixed drinks, and we both ended up trying ribeye steak. I have to say my steak was the best ribeye I've ever tasted. The Mac n cheese is a must, plus the twice baked potato. Bonus, salads are top notch too. Place is dim, feels relaxing, and they have someone playing the piano. Must try!

We had a very short notice wedding party dinner here and the staff and managers were extremely accommodating and let us take photos in the patio outside our rented room, waitstaff were super attentive, kids menus just as flavorful as adult menus- which were also amazing. 10/10. Came back for our 1 year anniversary, not only did they remember us but it was equally good service just for the two of us. Food was amazing as always and our server was knowledgeable and personable.

Upscale dining experience in a cozy environment. Their outdoor patio area was unique in that they had fans and/or heaters to keep patrons comfortable. We tried several plates. Their wagyu beef steak was to die for, pricey at $100 but that's expected. Their ribeye and porterhouse steaks were the highest quality as was their lobster, very good flavor & tender too. The rack of lamb was my favorite of the day. French cut and cooked to perfection; not too gamey and with just the right amount of seasoning. Their calamari and scallops are highly recommended too! Perfect indoor low lit romantic atmosphere for taking your date or spouse. Relax and enjoy the experience.

Went on a monday afternoon at 5. It was a dark dinning room where we sat hence 4 stars and because food was Ok. My sirloin had nothing special compared to Longhorns. My hubby got a ribeye and it was soft and juicy but he said hes tasted better. Spinach dip was pretty good. Waiter was great!

This place is always amazing. Hard-to-beat steaks, the twice-baked potatoes are insanely good, and everything else is also just superb.

I hadn't been here in many years but don't regret the experience we had today. The food was excellent beginning with the salad, one of the best salads I have had in years n best my son had ever had! Then both the Rib-Eye (prepared as recommended by our server, Jeremaih), New York Strip steak dinners and Mesa Chicken were all so tender n tasty, that we are likely to return. Never had such great tasting food. Would certainly recommend it! Lastly, our server, surprised us n cooked a great dessert in front of us. Very nice surprise! 👌 We enjoyed every minute.

Went this past Saturday 10/21/23, the atmosphere was nice but the service sucked. Our waiter was a male with glasses and had a horrible attitude. My mom only speaks Spanish and he was not very accommodating or friendly. Then at the end he busts out spanish like nothing. They run us down and charge us extra for a table of 6 when only 4 showed up when we let the host know prior it was only 4! I really did not like the vibe at all. The water boys and food runners were more friendly and visited us more. Food was okay but not worth it after this.

Visiting McAllen and this steakhouse was recommended by several locals. We were promptly seated and warmly greeted. Very impressed with the whiskey choices on the cocktail menu, although they did not have the whiskey I chose (Stagg Jr @ $14) and had Garrison Brothers Small Batch OVER PRICED at $25 a pour. Excellent food menu. Ordered two appetizers, the pork bellies and the Argentine empanada and they were excellent. For the main course I had a 14oz ribeye which was expertly cooked Pittsburg style. Overall a great experience and I will come again when I visit the area next.

Excellent filet. Super good Except we had to wait close to 1.5 hours with not so many guests. We had to finish up the delicious dinner in 20 minutes because it was close to 11pm.

Me and my wife went here for our anniversary. Food was great, drinks were fantastic and the service was top notch. It is not on the cheap side but... you pay for what you get. Everything was fantastic. They even added a very personal touch and sent us a complimentary slice of cheese cake since we were celebrating our anniversary. Santa Fe Steakhouse absolutely did not need to do this, but they did, and you better believe we will let every person know just how considerate and welcoming that was. Made a great night special. Thank you for that.
