We came last week on Wednesday. The food was very tasty. We decided to come again today but most of the restaurants and takeaways were closed on Christmas day and we felt to eat Indian food from you again but you were closed. We have had many Indian meals all over Australia and keep coming back to Bombay Wala East Ballina. 2 garlic naan, palak paneer (medium) Butter chicken (hot), pea pulav, do your self a favour,get this! Oh and the owners are lovely too.

This is the greatest secret of Ballina..and beyond... I wish I tried them earlier. The food is better than ANY Indian Restaurant I have ever tried. The phone service is excellent. Your order is taken quickly, with no mistakes and it is repeated back to you 5/5. The food is ready for pick up WHEN they say it will. Not before, not after, but on time. After having worked in hospitality for many years, I really appreciate that the food isn't sitting under some warming lamp until you get there, they do what they say they will do. The food is more awesome than you can imagine..When you get there, the decor might fool you into thinking that this is just another cheap Indian joint. It IS cheap...yes...but it TASTES amazing and better than any Indian I have ever tried. Judging this place by it's exterior or interior would be a mistake. This is the best Indian (that I have tried in the Northern Rivers). When you see Indian people ordering there, you know it's legit. Enough said...do your taste buds a favour...they live in Ballina...they need it....

Excellent value, beautiful food and extremely lovely service. Never have I been left waiting long for my food at all it comes quite quickly. A joy to dine there.

The staff were great on the phone. It was all smiles when we went to pick up our food. It was done on time. It was fast and it was delicious. A hidden gem in East Ballina. For Inidian food this is very authentic. As far as eating in, let's just say, it's better as a take away place ;) Great Indian food. Great staff and service.

First time trying Bombay Wala and all I can say is WOW!! This place will certainly be our go-to for Indian food. We got a chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, some chicken tikka pieces, rice and garlic cheese naan breads: everything was perfect and so flavourful. The prices were great as was the customer service. We drove over from Evans Head and the food was still piping hot when we got home. Well worth the trip and we won’t hesitate to make the trip back out again. Thank you so much 🙏

Incredible rude people , when I was making sure that my food was correct the whole family walked out telling me not to ask stupid question . If you can’t handle the pressure of being busy you guys should be in another business ! Certainly will never recommend this place ever again as I have done many times. Never being treated so rude like this in my life. Certainly the worst experience I ever had as a costumer in 20 years living in Australia, and 18 of them working in Hospitality industry, incredibly disappointed !

Shocked by the customer service, I was super keen to try this place as I have been disappointed in Indian restaurants in Ballina. After receiving the order, I drove 15 minutes home and opened up my bag and realised a curry was missing. I rang back and they said to me that I never ordered it #gaslighting and that the order was repeated to me on the phone and once I got to the counter, but when they repeated it on the phone, it was correct, and I didn’t notice when they repeated it at the counter. I was honestly shocked at how they spoke to me on the phone. I will say the curry was very good though.

Sensational flavours. Really worth a visit

I tried to order here last week and the phone rang out, I got hung up on or it was engaged for about thirty minutes (both numbers) we ended up eating elsewhere and were left disappointed. I have eaten here in the past and the food is nice but the wait time is quite long. unfortunately I won’t bother coming here again
