Barbara's guesthouse is such a lovely place! Home away from home! It is very cosy, private, stylish, and all the details are very well thought of - you've got absolutely all you need! I booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 6, and I would absolutely do it again. The hosts, Ginny & Bec, are so kind, helpful and flexible - I had some unexpected changes to my plans which they both were very supportive about and made me feel at ease. Oh and the location is so convenient and quiet - you will love it if you want to stay very close to the town (a couple of min walk from the main street), but away from hectic and loud crowds. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Byron!

Stayed here for my partners birthday weekend and we were very happy. We stayed in a room which had the private bathroom down the hall - this wasn't an issue as we rarely saw other guests and kimonos were provided. Claudia was an exceptional host. Located a short stroll to the town centre and just down the road to the brewery.

Barbara's B&B was amazing... So handy to town which really counts when you have to pay for parking, we walked every where. The house is so tastefully decorated and the breakfast supplied was terrific. When we where there most of the rooms where booked however we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves as we hardly saw anyone. I know where I will be staying if I'm lucky enough to get a room when next at Byron Bay and that is Barbara's. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.....

Barbara’s Guesthouse is such a lovely place. We absolutely loved it! I booked this place for 2 nights and I would definitely do it again. The owner and manager are very friendly and nice people. We had everything in our Premium Suite including little things like shampoo, hairdryer, cattle, tea. Super comfy bed with comfy pillows. The accomodation is spotless clean!!! The location is great, very close to Main Street with the shops. Thank you again 🙂

We stayed here for 4 nights. The house is clean and tidy. Bed is comfortable. However everything goes downhill from this because they can’t provide the very basics you would expect from a guest house. 1) They advertised shared kitchen and posted photos of the kitchen stove/oven. Once you arrive, there is a sign on the stove noting “No cooking please”. I booked here instead of an individual studio because of the kitchen. 2) Wifi only worked for a few hours then stopped working. It’s not been fixed for 5 days later by the time we leave. 3) hot water was not stable. Run out of 2 times during our stay. The second time I required it to be fixed. It’s a lot headache to for small things like this. 4) I got a call after I checked out. The manager asked me whether we have packed the beach towels and robes. They were all on the bed or bathroom. Clearly the manager didn’t check before accusing us taking their things. Above experience has never happened any anywhere in my previous experience. I would not recommend anyone to stay here more than one night.

Upon arrival there is a sign to call a number but no one answered. So we had to enter and find the room on our own which was a little awkward. I had to take a cold shower one day and my partner had to ask for assistance another day when she realised there was no hot water again. The caretaker gave the excuse that the gas man hadn t changed the bottle then flipped around to say a switch had been turned off. The Wifi is completely hopeless and they made virtually no effort to fix it during our 5 day stay. Upon leaving the premises we got a call telling us we stole their towels/ robe. They were just on the bed/bathroom and they hadn t taken the time to look before accusing us. Warning the kitchen stove is not to be used. Reason given was, people in Byron bay like to go out for food. Overall the place is well located and the property is clean but I just cannot recommend this accomodation after such poor service. Please take responsibility for the services you promise.

Although a bit pricey on the weekend (everything in Byron Bay was in this range) it was a great place to stay. Best location, but still really quiet area. The room was small, but very lovely. The breakfast concept and the whole area outside was really nice. Unfortunately, it got very cold over night, because the door and windows were not really dense. All in all, we would highly recommend to stay at Barbara's Guesthouse in Byron Bay.

A guest house with no on-site staff means that they have so many rules that its a bit silly. No shoes. Don't use the stove. Take out the rubbish. Don't make any noise oh but the front door bangs everytime you close it. Either run a guest house or Don't but don't make your guests make up for your bad investment.
