Albeit 160m lower than technical climbs of Bation and Nelion, point Lenana is nothing short of an amazing climb/trek, and still an astounding 4985m above sea level. It takes a good 3 days to do the full trek and to adjust to the altitude, and a guide is advised for the last climb from Shiptons hut, especially during snowfall. We left at 3:30 which leaves ample time to get to the top at sunrise around 6:30. During dry season the peak is snow free and reachable for people with good fitness, no need for climbing experience, but make sure to pay attention to altitude sickness!

3rd highest peak, but the most summited peak(other 2 higher peaks are technical) on Mt Kenya. The trip takes 3-4 days to and fro, but experienced climbers have done it within 24 hours. Super amazing views all the way to the top.

A good fun climb, accessible to all skill levels, with some very rewarding views.

It's woooow. On a clear day you can see sunrise, Mt Kilimanjaro on south east side, the surrounding hills and mountains, shooting starts and the neighboring towns including the big city Nairobi

Extremely cold. Awesome hiking at night. Wear warm and have good boots.

Summited Sept 2022 and we got zero ice at the peak, which would otherwise make for a picturesque mountain. The hike is not for the faint hearted but well worth the sweat.
