First time here and what a wonderful experience. Warm environment, friendly staff and extremely clean. I will definitely be back for the fresh and authentic Mediterranean delight. I look forward to coming here with the whole family! This restaurant is also BYOB! Highly recommend !

Kilim Mediterranean serves deliciously authentic Turkish food in River Edge, NJ! Everything was so fresh and we were served in a timely manner. For appetizers we had the stuffed grape leaves, babaganus (babaganoush), and pastrami rolls (made with phyllo dough). There was freshly-baked warm bread that was free and plentiful! As a main entree, we shared the Mixed Grill with lamb shish, Adana kebab, Turkish meatballs, chicken shish, with rice pilaf with orzo, cooked plum tomatoes, grilled jalapenos, and spicy red onions. We also had Turkish Dumplings (big portion!), lentil soup, and the kilim salad made with picked cucumber, tomato, walnuts, white onion, and green peppers in a parsley/lemon/pomegranate olive oil blend. We also had their Turkish coffee, Uludag Gazoz soda, and FREE Turkish Tea. For dessert we had the Antep Kunefe made with shredded crispy phyllo dough, sweet cheese inside, ground pistachios on top, and soaked in a honey-like syrup. This Antep Kunefe dessert was like a reimagined baklava and delicious. We had delicious paprika seasoned fries for the child in our party. Before 2020, Kilim Mediterranean replaced the previous Istanblue in this same location and the decor and ambiance are amazing! The owner spoke to us and was very kind and friendly, making sure all of our needs were attended to. Another plus is it's BYOB (bring your own beverage) so they opened our wine and provided wine glasses which was great! We highly recommend and look forward to returning, maybe to try the grilled octopus next time! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!!

Went to Kilim for a family celebration after a church service. The staff were so accommodating of our larger party, had everything ready when we arrived and did their usual magic with the food. We tried a variety of apps and salad, as well as lamb and chicken shish, steak, salad and shrimp. Our family members raved.

Love the decor! It's so pretty and spring like inside. The entryway had is so cute we had to take pictures hehehe Greeted by friendly smiles and service was excellent. Turkish Tea is complementary and definitely should try. Turkish Soda, Uludag Gazoz, is yummy! It's not as sweet as American sodas. Grape Leaves were ok, I've had better. Eggplant with Tomato Sauce is delicious! I would have loved to have this as an entrée 😀 Bronzino was ok, I needed to add salt and pepper Lamb Chops, they were small but so good and I don't like lamb.

We ordered artichoke heart, babaganus, lamb chops, Adana kebab and mix kebabs. Everything was perfect. We also had rice pudding it was amazing. I highly recommended this place. The owner is also so cute 🥰

We came for my friend Matt’s birthday and had the most amazing time. The atmosphere was great the service was too notch. So welcoming and caring. The food was incredible and couldn’t stop eating lol. Nur was so attentive and her staff made sure we all were good and taken care of. Will definitely be coming back with more people.

We had just gotten off the plane in Newark, and my brother in law wanted to get dinner. Kilim was highly rated on Google, so we went there. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to order. My brother in law loves Mediterranean food, but it's not common for our family to eat it. I had the meatballs, and my wife had the salmon. Everything was delicious. We got some hummus to dip our bread in, and it was amazing. The lady who owns the place was very friendly, and asked where we were from. It's not likely that I'll get back to that area again, but if I do, I'll definitely come back for dinner again.

Nice place. We came from out of town and my family stopped in for an early dinner at 4pm on a Wednesday. So we had the place to ourselves. Our waiter Mo was very good and so was the manager Adam. I would give the experience a 3.5 stars. My lamb sish kabob was good and my wife enjoyed her branzino. As for the calamari, my daughters felt it lacked flavor and I agree. The salad was nice as well. Overall a decent dining experience.

Really good Mediterranean food. We got the pastrami rolls for appetizer. It was good. Main course we got lamb shank and the chicken shish kabab. Both of them came with a side of rice. The lamb shank was excellent. I recommend trying the lamb shank. We finished off with kunefe for desert. I enjoyed kunefe. The restaurant is well kept and perfect for dates. The service was extremely good, the staff was really friendly. It wasn't crowded at all, we were the only customer when we were there.

Absolutely delicious! My family shared about 5 appetizers and each one was better than the next! I ordered octopus for my meal and it was DELICIOUS! absolutely recommend! Can’t wait to come back.

Visited this restaurant for a second time to have dinner with my mother and the food was delicious. I’ve tried a handful of Mediterranean spots and Kilim Mediterranean definitely takes first place. Everyone was very pleasant and the owner is wonderful. The spot is also super cute!

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. From the atmosphere to the staff, everything was absolute perfection. Words can’t even begin to describe how delicious the food was. My new go-to spot and would highly recommend to everyone!

One of the better Turkish spots I’ve been to. Meat was tender juicy, Turkish dumplings were so fun. Kibbeh were crunchy and meaty. Owner was super kind and came to us after the meal to chat. She clearly really put thought into the atmosphere and food. Complementary tea was a nice touch.

This place was amazing. Very beautifully decorated, great ambiance. The food was so delicious, generous portions. The service was outstanding! They pay attention to detail and make sure you leave happy and full. Great for dinner party or night out with the girls. Don’t forget to BYOB!

This is the second time I have dine here with my family. The food has been delicious every time. The lamb and chicken shish were very tender and tasty. The lamb chops and salmon were equally delicious. The portions were sufficient. Waiter was very attentive. Owner always came out to the tables to make sure all their customers were happy with their meals. A+ restaurant!!!!
