I went in to get my luggage zipper repaired, the owner was nice and told me politely that they don't do repairs like that. They told me to check with the manufacturer to see if it may be covered under warranty. Low and behold, they have a lifetime warranty. Saved my piece of luggage.

Best Alterations is a big name to live up to But here's something that I want to share with you They live up to the hype don't take this review light these people do their thing Without you needing a lot of bling These people are really sweet folks, and they get the job done. They alter and do not tailor so just FYI. They do good work, very honest, and are my go to in Alameda!

I was living in Alameda for several weeks and decided this was the time to get some tailoring done that has been impossible for me for several years. I live on a tropical island but have a favorite corduroy travel blazer for when I am "up north" and it has always called out for elbow patches. Stopped in at Best Alteration and they immediately said they could do it, found patches that matched, and delivered it to me quickly because of an upcoming trip of mine. This was no easy stitch on job because the blazer is lined, so it meant opening a seam, opening the lining, placing and securing the patch, and then returning all the seams to their original condition. The end result -- the elbow patches look like they were there from the start. Couldn't ask for a better outcome. Now I know they are there, on my next stay in Alameda I will bring some more of my clothes needing alteration along for them to work on. THANK YOU!

I've been using Best Alteration for years and have nothing but postive experiences working with them. Not only are they very knowledgeable and experienced in different kinds of alterations, they are also very accomodating and great to work with. I've been amazed at the different types of bespoke garments and materials I have been ablt to take to them and have altered. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to some help with getting their garments altered just right.
