Most elegant museum I’ve been to. The staff is incredibly courteous and discreet. Even the bathroom are fancy, the art is incredible. But again I’m visiting from the US so… At this time, you need proof of negative Covid test or proof of vaccination, and they provide you with an N95 mask.

Impressive museum, worth the 20 minutes by bus. The entrance is free. There was an interactive exhibition on good industry and gears and another one on photography. The view and architecture are also beautiful.

I really enjoyed this museum it was not only very interesting but also informative. It had a technical part at the beginning with a lot of interactive activities to try out. They you moved into the other part which was all about photography of the climate change. It makes you aware of what’s going on around you and it’s very well done. They also have a cinema for a documentary about the climate which was around 1 hr ( I came in late and only saw half of it) They also have a cafeteria downstairs and a very nice exterior. It was also free so if your in the area it a really nice place to stop by. The museum only took me 1 1/2 hours but there is also the movie so overall I was in the museum for 2 hours. This museum was a real treat and I would recommend and definitely return if I’m in the area.

Mast in Bologna offered a captivating blend of artistic experiences. Andreas Gursky's exhibition left us in awe of his stunning photography, capturing the essence of modern life in breathtaking detail. Altan's witty cartoons added a delightful touch of humor to our visit. A must-see cultural gem in Bologna.

Fantastic building. The architecture and the exhibition spaces are stunning. I hesitated to give them a 5 because they don't have a bookshop or a cafe/restaurant for the public. Must visit if you are in Bologna. Need to get on a bus or a cycle to get there since it's about 5kms away from the center.

I was totally taken by the architecture and the spatial arrangements of the space of this outstanding modern industrial art exibit and auditorium and much more. I would spend there an entire day enjoying the elegant modern ambience created by the architects. A landmark at the outskirts of Bologna. Unmissable!

Fantastic place. Free exhibition of Gursky. It’s a bit out of town but was fairly easy on a bus.

I visit photo exhibitions here, with my kids, sometimes. Very like its architecture and quietness. There's a permanent exposition of some machinery and games which is adorable by people of any age.

Beautiful, spacious gallery that is a bit far out from the centre of town but well worth the trip. I think they only have space for one exhibition but the one they had was great to explore. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only marked down slightly because it could really do with a place to eat and a shop as we wanted to have mementos of our time there.

MAST Foundation is an international, cultural, and philanthropic institution based on technology, art, and innovation. I had the pleasure of seeing an amazing exhibition by Andreas GURSKY here. The admission to MAST is free, and the knowledgeable staff provide visitors with information about the exhibitions.

Wonderful experience. At the time the exhibition consists of Richard Mosse’s work from 2007 to 2020. The place is incredibly funded; therefore, lots of stuff to give away to visitors on certain days. 3 different galleries which break down Mosse’s work by period and the method he’s used. The video gallery has been cut short because of the covid19 restriction but this means you get to return another time to enjoy the the rest of the video memoirs. Galleries 1 and 2 include incredible photos, heat maps, and infrared pictures that tell the story of Mosse’s trips which is inspired by war, its impacts and aftermaths, and the “displaced”.

I visited the interesting exhibition"Anthropocene" at MAST and was thrilled not only by the event itself but also by the stunning atmosphere of the place. The highly technological quality of the buildings and rooms matches with a real "visitor-centred" concept which makes you feel welcomed and at ease.

Visited "Anthropocene" exhibition at MAST: outstanding, unique for its content and message. The venue is amazing for its location, design and facilities. Supported by the GD Group and team. You are welcome with free entrance, coffee, cappuccino and juices by the gentlemen at the bar.

Very interesting exhibition in a modern building. Free entrance and ideal to go with kids in school age to be able to make them realize how the world is changing by humans, how human kind leaves a trace behind its passageway. Useful staff, halls are well organised, instinctive layout, clean structure, impecable toilets, free coffee in the bright cafeteria. Parking places facilities within the building, less outside. I highly recommend to visit this particular exhibition. You also have the possibility to keep the pass and use it within a week to visit other exhibitions in town! Great organization in all the details!

MAST is an interesting experiment of rolling a workplace and a museum into one. The only other place I’m aware of which does the very same is Saint Petersburg’s museum of street art (it’s review on its way 👍). The structure hosting the exhibits is a wonderful space to experience in itself, its modernity makes it such a perfect cocoon for contemporary content. The service is amazing, mind blowing, considering it’s all for free (yup, no entrance fees) and you get a complimentary drink at the bar at get end of your tour. So why not a top score for me? Entrance policy is way too restrictive. I get it we are in Covid times, but I’ve visited plenty of other museums of similar sizes and they all had a more relaxed rules regarding the number of visitors i.e. Playing with the current rules it’s fairly likely that you have to book in large advance (a month?). The staff is really courteous.
