One of the best experiences of my life. I had no idea how enjoyable having someone else bathe you could be. I never want to independently do it myself again. The foam wash/massage was the best part for me. So luxurious and unlike anything I've done before. Staff is extremely nice and guides you through the process. Provide you with all the supplies, so you just need to show up and give lovely turkish refreshments throughout. Establishment has so much history and is very clean and serene. Highly highly recommend.

I had a lovely experience at these old baths. Like the other reviews say and other people in the baths that I met - the experience feels a lot shorter than it is. I had the 45 min experience which took an hour. It felt like my 35 min massage was more like 20 min. I raised with the receptionist and therapist but both confirmed I had the right length. The massage itself was great - I felt relaxed and my skin felt amazing after. Highly recommended. Make sure you book in advance!

What an amazing experience. The best Hamam ever from begging till end. I got the 80 euros package just walked in without appointment. Staff are all super profesionals, the atmosphere will set you back in time to experience the old fashion traditional Turkish bath. It’s gorgeous and the time I spent there was fantastic. I added the face, hands and feet moisturizer at the end as extra for 15 euros. The massage what a delight, my host name was Saleh (thank you so much). I recommend to do reservation in advance. Definitely I am going back again soon.

My daughter and I attended this Hamam on our last day in Istanbul and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It was the perfect way to conclude our holiday. Don’t hesitate, just go to this place… So peaceful. Every time I looked over at my daughter she just had a big grin on her face and kept nodding her head lol. Very special memories for us that will last a lifetime. I’m already planning to go back and take my mom!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Not a tourist trap, not a scam. Really great 1st experience for those who wants to have a mid-range priced Hamam ❣️ Actually when I went back to Canada and compared the prices, this Hamam (€60) is extremely reasonable (even cheaper) than some of the packages sold here in Vancouver. It was my first time trying Hamam. I initially booked somewhere else but read online that there’s a lot of “scam” dingy turkish bath places that’s not hygienic. Reddit recommended this place. (I’d say generally do not book Hamam that contacts you via Whatsapp) They require bookings online and paying half of the deposit. The process was smooth and professional. The facility itself was beautiful and clean. I had such a good time— please go experience it for yourself. I also recommend adding in the foot massage at the end. So so good. This was definitely one of my highlights for Istanbul

Disappointing. Honestly wasn’t in the height of my expectations the service is very basic and you don’t really get to enjoy the historical place as they rush you through a quicky turkish bath. The delights they served once finished the hamam have no great shakes small pieces of lokum. Before leaving I politely asked if I could keep the traditional bath towel as a souvenir trying to save the last hope to keep a good memory about the place but one of the therapist refused rudely which really annoyed me. Not worth the money

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cağaloğlu Hamamı in Istanbul, a historic Turkish hammam dating back to 1741. Overall, it was a great experience, but there were a few aspects that could have been improved. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and the atmosphere was enhanced by traditional music playing in the background. We had made reservations and opted for the tip-to-toe package, which offered extra massage time. The hammam’s historical charm was evident, and you could truly feel the weight of its history. However, there was a noticeable lack of guidance at the beginning of the experience. It would have been beneficial if there had been a brief introduction to what to expect during the session. This omission made the initial stages a bit uncomfortable, as we had to figure things out on our own. One notable oversight was the absence of slippers or slides in the changing rooms. Walking barefoot and descending stairs that others had used with their shoes on felt awkward until we asked for slides, which were promptly provided. Once inside the hammam, we were instructed to sit in a sauna-like room for what turned out to be a longer duration than expected. It became quite humid and challenging to breathe, and no one checked on us during this time. After what felt like an extended wait, the attendants came to escort us individually for the wash and massage. While the experience was excellent and the attendants were gentle, it may feel uncomfortable for some, as you are essentially nude with other patrons, and they do touch you extensively during the process. At the end of the session, we were offered tea and delights, which was a lovely touch. However, I left to have tea with my fiancé in the common entry area. In conclusion, Cağaloğlu Hamamı provides an authentic Turkish hammam experience with its historical ambiance. I would highly recommend it. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend that the front desk implement an introductory discussion at the beginning to make guests feel more at ease, as not everyone may be familiar with hammam customs and procedures. This addition would greatly enhance the overall experience.

This is such an amazing experience. I came here last year for my birthday and they made it one of the most special memories! We were treated like royalty, looked after so well, they made us feel so relaxed and couldn’t have done any more for us. Came back again a few days ago and brought my partner and it was the same standard. We did the Ottoman experience, the massage was amazing and my skin is still glowing/soft from the clay/ hyaluronic acid masks. Love the history of the building, the soft foam, the steam room etc. can’t wait for another excuse to come back to Istanbul! If you can, try book the restaurant next to the Hamam after your treatment, you are welcome😉.

An experience that must be done before you die. I got the Ottoman Luxury Service package which includes the bath and aromatherapy massage. My Hammami therapist Cigdem was incredible. She hold my hand and made sure I did not slip in the baths. She performed a great bath and massage. I plan to come here again next year and hopefully I get her again as my therapist. I highly recommend this place.

What an experience! Perfect for that spa day you’re chasing whilst also experiencing local culture. I was looked after by Ferdi and went with the Ottomans package. Sauna, scrub and soak were a delight and everything was done at the right pace to make you feel comfortable in a new experience. The massage was heaven. Deep tissue and spot on. Overall, never felt so clean and relaxed in my life! Do yourself a favour and book this place if you’re visiting Istanbul! Special thanks again to Ferdi ☺️

Excellent Turkish Hammam! One of the oldest in Istanbul. I come whenever I’m in Istanbul. A truly relaxing spa experience. Very accommodating staff. Separate men’s and women’s areas - the way it should be. Private changing rooms with keys and locks to secure your belongings. Changing rooms have a robe, water, toiletries, slippers, and hair dryer. You will be led by your personal “bather” to the steam room first before taking you for a full body scrub and relaxing on the heated marble slab. Alternating hot and cold water as they scrub and shampoo you. Once done, they wrap you up in a robe and towel and bring you to a chaise lounge in a quiet area around a central marble fountain where you can enjoy a small cup of tea and some dried fruit and nuts. I also had a massage as an add on. There are various levels of treatments and add on services. Once you are finished, they bring you more water and fresh fruit to hydrate. As my brother once said, “if I did this once a week, I’d be a different person!” Enjoy!

Beautiful experience! The „kese“ (rubbing off the old/dirty skin) combined with the massage is deeply relaxing and soothing. The therapists who take care of you are very experienced and know their craft.

The place is very well maintained and it's a building with a centuries-old history, I recommend booking so you can get the offers and enter without problems. There are several offers, I recommend the one that cost us 10O EURO, the name of my masseur is' "Huur " s really a professional, I recommend you to ask him!!! At the end of the treatment you will be offered a typical local tea, if you want you can also have dinner or lunch inside. Remembering to tip your masseur is part of politeness!

What a beautiful experience! Glad I chose this venue for my first hamam experience, absolutely loved it😊 300 years of history makes this place truly magical and very authentic. An interesting but worthwhile experience! The building has alot of history and has been visited by many celebrities. We got the standard 15 min sauna, 30min wash and massage. You can wear your own bikini bottom, otherwise they provide a disposable kind. They also provide towels and a room to change. You can also request to keep your bikini top on for modesty during the bathing, but it seems most owmen just go topless. Your hair also gets washed and hairdryers are provided. After the bath, you have some Turkish tea and Turkish delight!

Thank you Cagaloglu Hamam for treating me like a princess during my virgin experience! I haven’t been scrubbed this squeaky clean since I was a baby! Maybe because my therapist Nurcan was professional, kind and motherly. She was extremely helpful with my first experience guiding me to the various parts from the sauna to the bubble bath and to the foot massage. The experience was first-class from start to end - from reservations by my hotel concierge, being greeted from the front to being served by receptionist to the actual experience itself. Even the Turkish tea, homemade sherbet, hazelnuts, Turkish delight and apricots were so good! I paid $100Euros for this experience and it’s so worth it!! I would fly in from Singapore 🇸🇬 just for this experience again. Until then, going to tell recommend this place to my friends back home! For more follow @Modern_Mulans on Instagram!

Simply the best. Top tier service, otherworldly atmosphere. Step into a royal time travel machine! When I first booked I thought it was on the pricey side but you definitely get your money's worth and then some! My partner and I were pampered for two straight hours and even though I had broken my shoulder the day before, they made such an effort to ensure to customize my original booking to preserve my experience and work around my injury. 10/10, definitely coming back here!

My first hamam experience and will definitely not be my last. The staff here is incredibly kind and patient. It’s rough, but in a very good way. The space is AMAZING. Absolutely gorgeous. I did the Sultan package that included a massage. Best way to spend 2 hours. I came out thoroughly clean, relaxed, and refreshed. Don’t think twice about it. Come here.

Beautiful setting and atmosphere but sadly not really worth the money. The scrub down was mild and not complete and the mud bath was very underwhelming. We booked in a large group and some of the party was made to sit in the corner for the treatment. The ladies got sold an add on facial which was not really worth the price tag. Perhaps better in small / single groups. But more of a tourist trap feel than authentic experience

Definitely a lovely place, and a great experience. However, I found it a bit pricey in the end. The ladies there were very nice, but the massage was definitely not 35 minutes, some girls were there before me and we were done at the same time, and also it was not very strong. Everything was very clean and the tools used on you were just unpacked. Not sure if I would go again just because the value didn't seem to match the price.

What an amazing experience. It’s gorgeous and the time I spent there was fantastic. I got the 160 Euros Ottoman treatment and it was fantastic. I added the 30 mins feet massage and what a delight. What an amazing treat to experience the old fashion traditional Turkish bath. Thanks

A must do experience in a beautiful environment. The treatment was quite relaxing and the hosts made the experience authentic. All the necessary stuff were provided by the hosts (e.g towels, slippers etc). After the hamam, we were offered tea and Turkish delights which were delicious.

Brand new again when I walk out. It’s definitely a reason to be the best in town. With 300 years’ history and all marble inside the Hamam. I have Tugba who is considerate and good masseurs with nice pressure! Smell good and I love the bubble bath! Will definitely recommended! To get some relaxing time after walking whole day. Need to book in advance!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an absolutely rejuvenating experience at Cağaloğlu Hamam! This historic Turkish bathhouse exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a world of relaxation and luxury. The stunning architecture and ambiance of the hamam are truly captivating. The staff's warm welcome and hospitality made me feel like royalty. The traditional hamam treatment was an unforgettable experience. The skilled attendants took great care of me, providing an invigorating scrub and a soothing massage. It was the perfect blend of tradition and modern comfort. After my treatment, I felt completely reenergized and revitalized. The steam, the hot marble, and the invigorating plunge in the cool pool left me feeling refreshed and renewed. It's no wonder this place has such a rich history – it's an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Istanbul. I highly recommend Cağaloğlu Hamam to anyone looking for a unique and authentic spa experience. It's a true gem, and I can't wait to return for another blissful escape. Thank you, Cağaloğlu Hamam, for an unforgettable day of relaxation and rejuvenation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Exceeded my expectations. Beautiful location. Very attentive and welcome staff. I was hosted by a very kind guy named Yahya (ask for him). Please don't skip this when you visit Istanbul. If you like classical music - the great Franz Liszt came to this hamam!

Very nice experience!! It was my first hamam ever. The reception was very friendly and the lady who did my hamam (Feliz) was very friendly and she kept checking if I was alright! Overall , a very calming experience.

Cannot recommend this more highly. It was the most lavish experience. Everything both products, customer service and atmosphere was decadence. Those who are worries about nudity can rest assured that nobody cares both staff and patrons. It is a very comforting environment and I recommend everyone visit at least once when the come to Istanbul!

Must try when in Istanbul. First time trying a Turkish Bath. Booked this before flying out and the experience was better than expected. The place has so much history. I opted for a package with Hamam and Massage after, the guy looking after me was amazing was so relaxed afterwards.

What a lovely experience this was! I had the experience to try two of the best hamams in Istanbul and I can confidently say the experience here was nicer, felt more authentic, and was worth the money. And the guy who took care of me had very soft, caressing hands! Sorry I forgot his name. I highly recommend this place.
