Marmaray Sirkeci is an underground railway station along the trans-Bosphorus Marmaray tunnel. This underground station was opened on 29 October 2013 along with four other stations (Kazlıçeşme, Yenikapı, Üsküdar and Ayrılık Çeşmesi) on the Marmaray line. Sirkeci is serviced by TCDD trains running between Kazlıçeşme (west of Sirkeci) and Ayrılık Çeşmesi (east of Sirkeci on the Asian side) with 6- to 10-minute intervals. Once the rehabilitation of the existing rail lines are complete, Marmaray commuter service will run west to Halkalı and east to Gebze. This service is expected to commence in 2016.

Historic train station where once the Orient express from Paris would terminate. Close to Sultanahmet and the main attractions. Very busy and happening place. Worth a look.

Note, the spot on Google maps is a handicap entrance (elevator). It is not well markwd, small and slow. If you can, walk down the hill a little farther the main entrance next to the T1 Serkeci stop. Even though that entrance is large, it can be easy to miss because much of the street side view is blocked.

Thought to take a look at this piece of railway history, the terminus for the Orient Express. Looks a bit rundown but appears that some restoration work might be in progress. Loved the little museum. Seems that some costume drama filming was in progress.

Great place, believe it or not. It's way more than a railway station. It has the usual ticket offices for national and international travel, it has all the normal facilities and more. It has an old engine outside and a railway museum inside although it's closed for renovation work until September. It had the Orient Express restaurant and café. It has cats and kittens. I'm going again for pre dinner drinks at the Orient Express restaurant and am very much looking forward to that.

The woman working at the international ticket office was the rudest person i’ve ever met! Even before I said a word she was so angry. She was not cooperating at all and kept yelling at me! I have never left a review on google before, but this was just the worst. Please fix the service at this office….

One of the highlights on our trip to Istanbul, we visited twice in four days, it oozes of the atmosphere of bygone days of grandeur and finesse, when people knew how to dress and how to behave; unfortunately the main entrance and waiting area is currently been renovated, there's a small traditional cafe where locals sit and have tea but also a much bigger restaurant..

Very crowded with many scammers trying to get your money. There's a train station here connection to Marmaray line crossing between Asian and European parts of Istanbul. Best to stay away from this area.

A step free trip to the underground train. I’m not so sure it is wheelchair accessible. About 3-4 long escalators below the surface you finally reach the train. And for claustrophobic people, the train is only 3 mins from one side of the sea to the other. Very nice worker at the ticket machines.

This is a Marmara'yı metro stations after you cross the Bosphorus Strait. There is only one Electric elevator you can find. With very many of passengers numbers.

NEVER BUY TICKET TO SOFYA! I lost a flight because of a almost two hour delay in TCDD train, and they are not refunding my money or compensating me in any other way. I advise you to take the bus, is faster and much cheaper. This people are pickpocketers, don't trust them.

Everything is near by. The station it self is very modern and built in parallel to a historic train station.

👍👍 One of the bigger stations in Istanbul. Always packed. Seamless interchange between Marmaray, M1, M2, Metrobüs, and well placed Exits. Always clean and smoothly operational. If you're moving from the Asian side to European side (and vice versa), you can't miss going through here.
