The oldest shisha/nargile cafe! What an experience and atmosphere. Very welcoming, they speak basic English. There’s three bars all equivalent so don’t feel as thought you’re missing out. All priced the same and great shisha (65 lira) So you can’t go wrong for £4ish all in depending on how many teas you have! I actually ended up in all three over time (3 pics from each place) and it was a nice little place to rest, with tea always being offered. Well worth a visit!

Absolutely amazing, authentic experience. You just sink in the atmosphere. It feels cozy, safe and welcoming. No music, just soft murmur of voices. Beautiful surroundings. Staff comes often offering tea or replacing charcoal. For one shisha and over 30 teas we paid less than 300 lira. This is a place you can come back to often and spend hours there. Really recommend

A great place to smoke hookah and relax in the heart of the European side. Located close to Agia Sofia and the Grand bazaar.

The best hookah place I went , during my stay in Istanbul . A hidden gem hidden in an alley just 10 minutes walk from Ayia Sofia. The place travels you back in the 1900s and it is full of locals. The tobacco quality is excellent and the price makes it the most value for money hookah cafe you will probably find in Instabul.

Great traditional hookah bar! No fancy extras, no gimmicks. You get the feeling that you're enjoying hookah the way it has been done for ages. The only place in Sultanahmet where Shisha is served at fair prices, that's why it is crowded with locals. Hookahs were 80tl when we visited and cay 6tl. The prices are displayed transparently so there is no worry of getting ripped off. Service comes frequently and is very respectful. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful place to travel back in time ... it's one of the best places in Istanbul that you can smoke original shisha in with traditional tea ... highly recommended at least once if you visit Istanbul....

This place is great to have a coffee or tea, smoking a sisha. You have to imagine yourself in the time of the XVI century we're everyone was there just having a chat. This place looks old but don't worry, the people inside are nice and you just have to sit, and enjoy the place. I ordered a Turkish tea, the best.

Definitely 5 stars… This is a peaceful relaxing courtyard to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some shisha. For 300 TL I had an hour of shisha, 2 teas, and 1 Turkish coffee including tip for their excellence service. Easily recommended

Little gem in the very heart of Istanbul. Cozy place with amazing traditional shishas and great beverages. Our server Efe was the best! Important - there are a actually a few shisha bars located in here! We visited the one at the very end, right the opposite the entrance gate.

Went to this place because of a lot of reviews. Could not find it easily with Google maps, had to ask around. Very picturesque atmosphere, no fancies. We had simple shisha with tea. Humble service. No menus. Not the “best-ever” but good shisha. the experience was totally worth it. Very authentic.

This is a must visit when going to istanbul. Just be sure to stay on the left hand side as there is 2 different shisha places when you go inside. Customer service is 10/10 shisha is 10/10 and the price is the cheapest you’ll find in Istanbul. The staff and friendly and welcoming. Being one of the oldest shisha places in Istanbul it lives up to the hype and alot better than the fancy shisha places which cost 5x - 10 x the price

It’s a historical visit for sure, and the waiters are attentive but the argileh wasn’t very good and neither was our coffee. I was honestly looking forward to this place and it was kind of a major disappointment. Pro-tip: if you decide to go, stick to tea and Double Apple - get a disposable hose too.

Found it difficult to locate the place but it worth it. Although a limited range of menu choices, everything is authentic Turkish items. Best Turkish coffee I had in a week spent in Istanbul and as I understood one of the best you can get. Teas are amazing and the place is a genuine Turkish experience. I do recommend the place and I'll definitely visit it again on my next Istanbul trip.

Probably the most popular and hide Nargile café in the world... Old Madrassa converted in social Nargile café, almost no sign in entrance.. Have to pass corridor through old cemetery.. And as soon you get inside you feel like in a movie.. Enjoy your time here and think about the history of the building...

The venue has got a very local vibe, which is interesting if you are a tourist. Too bad that: -- The address is not good on Google Maps; -- The coffee is disgusting.

This place takes you to another era. The atmosphere is just amazing! Traditional place. The Nargile (shisha) is the best that you’ll ever try. Combined with a traditional Turkish Coffe or tea is just perfect!

Super historical place (about 1500 years old). Atmospheric and very delicious shisha. Crowded but cosy. If you like shisha - must have.

Amazing place to smoke shisha and having tea or Turkish coffee. Beautiful ancient buildings with classic architecture and feels like back in many centuries ago…

It’s a lovely place to get near to the local culture. Just buy a narghilé (even if you don’t smoke) and a glass of tea, and relax, like locals do. ;)

We (both females) went to this local place recomended by a local friend. At the begining was a little bit strage because there were all men, but the workers are lovely and the atmosphere is really relaxed. It is really cheap and excelent quality, we could recomend this place enough!

A pretty cool thought having tea in a 300 year old school, but that’s just it. It’s pretty run down and full of hookah smoke. You have to pay to use the bathroom, and pay for toilet paper.

👍 The place is cozy, but not that big. We visited at night so it wasn’t crowded. The sweets were special, I loved the Caramel Tres Leches, it was the best! Baklava, pudding and other desserts were so tasty and the Cappuccino was good. As for the stuff, they were friendly but did not speak much English...
