    This PSU Health location is wonderful. Its employees have always been kind & accommodating throughout the chaotic times of COVID-19. However, this location is very difficult to schedule timely appointments with. My first appointment scheduled for 6/2021 was booked 6 months in advance. And my most recent visit for 3/3/22 nearly 5 months prior. Rescheduling has also been a hassle in the past as well. I would bump up my review to 5 stars if the scheduling aspect was less complicated.

    I am very disappointed by this office. I have been visiting them for about two years. It took me a while to get a clear definition of the problem I was having, and not enough information was provided to me regarding treatments, (only one option was given me) which resulted in pointless appointments, painful procedures that turned out to be not useful for my case, and waste of my money. Upon deciding to switch to another medical practitioner, it was quite difficult to obtain my medical records to transfer to the new office. Despite the current pandemic, I was asked to physically show up at Nyes road to pick up a blank form that could have been easily sent by email. While they told me on the phone that for privacy reasons I needed to be present in person while filling out the request to transfer my medical records, I was sent home to fill it and then send it via Fax to the new office. I think this is quite unacceptable in these times where we should be social distancing and avoiding medical offices if not strictly necessary. Knowing that all my troubles could have been avoided by simply interrupting oral contraception is disappointing and appalling. I expect higher quality care from a reputable institution like Penn State. It wasn't the case.

    The visit was fine nothing special. I should note that I am writing on behalf of my husband. When we received the bill, we thought we were charged twice for the same procedure. I called the medical billing department and they informed me the bill just looks that way and assured us we were not billed twice. I asked why the bill was so inflated. She told me that it depends on what they talk about before and during the appointment. My husband spoke to no one before his appointment and was maybe there 30 to 45 minutes. I asked how much a visit is to their office and she was unable to give me a flat price for just a checkup with the doctor. After a very unsettling conversation with the Penn State billing department, we contacted our insurance company to inquire why the bill was so high. They explained that Penn State charged for the service and the doctor charges for the same service meaning we paid two times for the same service. I am not an expert in health care however I think this is very unfair and extremely deceitful. They should not be charging a patient nor insurance companies for the same visit twice. If they do, they should at least inform patients of how they invoice and at least be able to tell them what a basic doctors visit will cost DO NOT GO THERE !!!!

    Every visit I've had has been extremely professional and friendly with all the staff. I've not had any problems or issues with any of the staff. I'm also not waiting very long for my appointment. Or if I did have to wait a while, they profusely apologize and explain what kept them. I have a lot of patience so I'm never upset with them. I understand the reasons and just move on with the appointment. But it rarely happens.

    Never really had an issue going to the clinic and for the most part friendly staff but I would never ever want Dorinda Jackson assisting me anything! She can't even speak to me with hello. She is by far the rudest medical staff I ever encountered. And I had 2 witnesses that agreed before I could even open my mouth and voice my disdain.

    My experience with staff and doctors have been fine, however getting an appointment is another story. If you're having any skin problems, waiting 6/7 mo for an appointment is not satisfactory, sorry to say, but I am looking elsewhere.

    I have been treated with respect , compassion and concern to my healthy being. I Feel very confident in the care I am getting and thankful that as a patient I am always put first . Thank you to the great providers Dr. Cuguni, Dr. Thomas, Dr. Spots and Amanda Cosgrove.

    I am not sure what is going on with this place currently, but I have been coming to this location for 25 years and I have never been so dissatisfied. First of all, the facility inside is not the cleanest, the sheet that they gave me to cover with had a dirty spot. I sat on the waiting table with a sheet over my lap for 35 minutes, waiting on the doctor to come in. Had to put my clothes back on and go out and find somebody that work there, to see if I was forgotten about. Finally was seen by the nurse. Had a culture done. Nobody ever called or messaged me regarding the results, but I saw them on the portal. Called the office to see if somebody was going to prescribe me and was made to wait for over a day before I could get a doctor to read my results and prescribe. Finally got prescribed. Pick the medicine up and paid for it at the pharmacy, which was an over-the-counter medication that was for topical use only, and was of no use to my specific concern! Messaged the nurse about this and was told that a second over the counter medication was sent in for prescription. Was told by the pharmacy again, that it is an over-the-counter medication and cheaper on the shelf. This place has cost me nothing but time, frustration, and money! I will never be seen by anyone at this location again, other than my regular doctor.
