Wine, good music, lots of books and great conversations. Every evening staying in Via Guelfa, we saw a man sitting in a tiny shop, playing guitar or music and drinking wine. When we finally decided to enter, the man poured us a glass of wine and we started talking. His English is very good and he told us about his music, his travels and life in general. We drank our wine to the tunes if Johnny cash and had a great time. Towards the end he told us about his favourite author (Pasolini) and his favourite place in Florence (everywhere) We will be returning

Wasn't planning to stop here, but ended up spending a wonderful evening with two other groups from the US, listening to live English/Spanish/Italian music from Andrea and drinking far too much wine. Highly recommend for those looking for great live music off the beaten path!

If you’re into or just need a cosy non-touristic experience, this is your place. Andrea, the owner, played (what seemed an improvised concert of) folk classics from all over the world. What a delight!

Ho di recente trascorso una serata di indimenticabile spiacevolezza al "Chiodo fisso". Inizialmente, i gestori, del locale, con una scusa banale, mi hanno impedito di pagare con la carta di credito la mia consumazione, in seguito il proprietario mi ha chiamato "cafona" urlandomi in faccia di fronte a tutti i presenti, che altro non possono che confermare la mia versione dei fatti.

Away from the touristic roads we roamed and found this magical place. A glass of wine and music lead us inside where we found hospitality and a new friend. I kindly recommend this place for everyone who's looking for a cozy place to enjoy the evening.
