I was curious to try the sushi delivery company that friends described as "too good for Uber Eats". I wonder if that's the case... packaging is expensive and Instagram worthy, the tiny salmon grenade was fine. The Crispy Rice however wasn't crispy. It was plain raw and heavily vinegar-soaked and I guess they forgot to fry it? How do you forget to make a crispy rice order crispy? What's worse though is, as you can see, the tuna is black. It's clearly been sitting somewhere for a few hours. I had to throw the dish out after nibbling on the vinegar rice. Let me tell you 4 salmon grenades don't make a full supper so I had to go on Uber Eats to get sushi elsewhere, which felt like a real rip off after spending 236 Rand. If this were on Uber Eats I'd be requesting money back. I can see why it's not on Uber Eats as you cannot do that without a middle man.

Very disappointed in the quality of the product. The sushi pieces were small, poorly made and the avo was black. The structural integrity of the pieces was below par as each piece would break as you picked it up. The soy sauce was very watered down and had no flavour. The ginger was bland. Not worth the money. Stop spending money on the packaging of the product. Make better sushi.

Really beautifully packaged. I hate it when sushi arrives in shambles as I'm sure we all do. Fresh and delightful. I'll definitely be ordering from them again. The ordering process and delivery was great too. Really impressed.

Great sushi, fantastic app to order through and delivery is quick. My meal seemed to have been handled a bit rough as all the mayo, ginger and wasabi was squashed into the corner of the container. Slightly too expensive to order more than only once in a while though.

Plastic sushi! Yes, I think restaurants use plastic sushi to photograph their sushi for Instagram! But not Oishi! Their sushi looks just like the pictures on Instagram! And the taste! OMGosh! Normally I don't do this, but I want to support a worthy startup (I think it is?). Today we tried something different. We ordered Oishi-sushi (can't tag cause don't see a fb page). We ordered the salmon Poke bowls. And let me start by saying that not only was the delivery really quick and friendly, but the presentation of the packaging is the best I've seen in takeout. And the food didn't even look like take out. When I pulled out the contents, I thought it may be rather small for my hungry eyes, but as soon as I put it on a plate, I realized I may struggle to eat all this. Needless to say, I did finish it as I couldn't get enough. It was absolutely the best sushi poke bowl I've tasted and I will definitely order this again. What made it even better is that not only was it super fresh, it was all LOCAL . Well done OISHI-SUSHI!

I have been ordering from Oishi in Bryanston for quite some time - more than a year. The sushi has never disappointed - it is 5 star and very reasonably priced. The app is fun and user friendly. The delivery service is polite, friendly and efficient. Today, for the very first time, there was an incorrect item in my order. I would like to give Oishi Bryanston a seven star rating for the polite and professional way they took accountability and rectified an inevitable human error.
