This was a surprisingly delightful stop in Britstown. The food was really good- definitely worth visiting even if it’s just for that. The milkshakes were pretty amazing and there was a play area as well- a gem when travelling with small kids. However it could’ve been better maintained. The garden is beautiful and serene the service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you need a stop where you can eat great food.

An oasis of gentility and creativity in an otherwise sleepy town. The breakfast and coffee were good. Ginger Beer was delicious! Take-away melktert was reasonable... not quite the right flavour, and a little stodgy, but this actually made it easier to eat on the road. Fun, whimsical decor and nice outside dining area.

A delightful Karoo coffee shop/restaurant. Very old world and genuine Karoo. Lots of space for the kids to play. Sit outside ubder the trees in warm days or inside on cold days. Does not look like much from outside. Very good value for money. Built inside a genuine old mill. Worth a stop over.

Cool covered outdoor seating, or cosy indoor awaits your coffee break. Lovely cappuccino and milk tart.

Thought it was closed but a small sign indicated that "we are open". With entering a warm welcome greeted us. Menu was, as indicated on a black board, with a variety of choices.( See photos) The preperation of the food was time comsuming, but the result has proven 100% tasteful. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. A small playground can be utilised by small children. This place is commendable.

A real hidden gem in a small town. I was very sceptical, and what a nice surprise!! Although it doesn't look like much from outside, walk through to the back yard and be surprised. Beautiful, nice and cool under the trees. We had nice homemade gingerbeer which was perfect for a very hot day. I will definitely go there again!!!

If you're taking the N12 down to the Cape, this is a great place to refuel your body and soul. It's just off the main road, and the style is totally eclectic. But the people are friendly, the food is cooked with love and offers unbeatable value, and the coffee is excellent. There's even outside seating with a play area for kids. We'll worth a visit.

Very friendly with excellent service and very good prices. Lovely shaded garden, good toilets, just off main road but quiet and peaceful.
