We reserved the private dining area last night and all of us were extremely happy with the food and high level of service. We would also like to thank the manager for giving us a tour, he explained things very well in a wonderful, engaging way. Every dish we ate was full of flavour, I did particularly enjoy the lamb shanks and chops but seriously just experiment a little with the flavours and you will be amazed. Thank you for having us. We will be back.

Incredible meal. Everything was so tasty, great flavours and ingredients. Interesting spin on some classic dishes and some I’d never heard of before. Small but varied and well thought out menu with something for everyone including plenty of vegan/ vegetarian choices. Thought the plates would be small but I have leftover for tomorrow (my husband doesn’t but he’s stuffed!) Staff were charming, attentive and non intrusive. We spent the whole night here relaxed. The atmosphere, plates, decor and music were great as was the drink selection.

I spent my b-day with friends here and it was great. We booked a table for 5 but we ended up with in total 8. They managed to change the table without any trouble despite the restaurant was fully booked. Staff was amazingly helpful and super friendly. Food was delicious and all people loved it. This place is highly recommended. And even if you don't need to go to the restroom, do it! The pictures at the wall are amazing. Just spend some time and check out all, upstairs and downstairs - it's lovely and furnitured with love and passion in details.

A tasteful (both in terms of flavors and decoration) Indian restaurant in the heart of London. Loved the vegetarian options (the cauliflower fish was my favorite), very attentive and polite stuff, great music and choices of wines and cocktails. Creamy chicken was also a great hit for us. Don’t miss trying the cheesecake.

We had booked dinner for 4 on a Saturday night. The place was busy and I was immediately struck by the decor and service quality. The food was devine. We ordered 4 starters, 4 curries, 2 bread baskets, 2 rice portions, and 4 non-alcoholic drinks - the bill came to £260 for everything including service. I particularly recommend the puri and the chicken curry. Definitely go if you want an elevated experience, you won't regret it. A few days later we are still discussing how delicious everything was!

One of the best restaurants for hospitality! The ambience was lovely, food was amazing but what makes this place stand out is their outstanding service. My other half’s birthday was made so special. Special thanks to Rony, for making us feel so comfortable and catered. All staff came to cheer the birthday boy and they also had a lovely card from the Director and a little gift too. Truly amazing. Thank you.

As an Indian food critique that has gone on a limb to find hidden gems dishing out the best and most authentic food, I am wholeheartedly and without reservation amazed. Folks, this is a must try and has the great potential to become your regular haunt. Delectable food, great service and attention from staff and overall resoundingly positive. The chef listens and incorporates any specific instructions and he even came out to the table to see us when asked. Superb and superlative! Do stop by, cheers!

Beautiful decor and excellent food, but that’s all about this Indian restaurant. The service was appalling and we waited for an hour for our food to turn up. They kept on missing our orders. The waiters and waitresses are only trained to deal with particularly issues and completely inflexible. I mean, it’s only waiting and not rocket science. Given the long delays and frequent mistakes for our orders, they even get frustrated with ourselves and told us that they were short staff as a valid excuse to mess up everything. It’s absolutely appalling attitude which I immediately told them off. If they messed up, at the very least apologise instead of lording over us with their excuses and made us feel sorry for them and that they are doing a favour to us by serving us! It is a real shame! Food is very expense as well and especially with such unacceptable service. Food 9/10, ambience 8.5/10, service 3/10, value for money 5/10. Never again!

Great food, great atmosphere. I had better Indian food in London for fractions of the price, but this is the only downside. Service was nice but a bit slow. We had tea for drinks and both were very nice. A tip, if you just ask them to refill with hot water, it is free. Cold water was quite the opposite. They brought it without question but they billed quite a lot for them.

Excellent place to enjoy Indian food. We were looking for a nice place to try Indian food during our recent visit to London, and we found Colonel Saab. It's has a nice ambiance and a perfect place to eat. We tried varieties of food, and each dish was unique in taste. The girl at Colonel Saab was super nice and helpful. Needs little improvement with the washroom.

Excellent food in a truly unique and beautiful restaurant lighted by over 20 exquisite chandeliers. Even more special was the wait staff and the manager, who treated us like royalty and gave us a personal tour, explaining all the gorgeous treasures in their restaurant. The restaurant was really busy, but they did this for our group of 10 anyway. If you love Indian food, Col. Saab is a must-visit restaurant!!

Delicious food, beautiful decor, and great service. We ordered the chaat, cauliflower, butter chicken, and milk cake. All the dishes were delicious. Our server was very attentive, gave us wonderful recommendations. We were pleasantly surprised as this seems to be more of a local neighborhood spot. I would definitely come back again if I am in the area.

Ronni was incredibly hospitable & is most certainly a credit to the restaurant. Thank you for an excellent dining experience at your restaurant. We wholeheartedly recommend a dining experience at Colonel Saab. We’ll be back for sure.

I visited this place along with my partner on our anniversary eve, we felt very happy with our decision. The food was scrumptious and the ambience takes you to a different era. Kudos to the owner for pulling off this exuberant interiors, more than the food, people were engrossed with the intricate artefacts that were placed on the walls. The food had rich ingredients, so we felt easily satiated with selected few starters. So would recommend ordering a limited set of items, before splurging on everything that looks yum. One thing which I felt amiss was the service. The staff were prompt and helpful, however I couldn’t sense their happiness. So in certain situations I could only feel sorry for them. Perhaps, something more could be done for their happiness! As it easily reflects on how the customers get treated and greeted. Would recommend everyone to visit this place during lunch. As it is comparatively silent and gives one more time to enjoy the ambience along with the food.

Absolutely amazing. Unique experience in the heart of London with brilliant Indian cuisine and lovely service. We celebrated my wife's birthday and had an amazing dinner. The staff were extremely nice accommodating our requests for a specific table and celebrating with us on this special day. And the food was SO good. Everything was good, but the Pani Puri is addictive. The Paneer is juicy and meaty and was the star of the main courses. There are a lot of good Indian food in London, but seriously, this one is up there, maybe even the best in town. You should try it.

This restaurant has to be one of the best in London! Beautiful environment, excellent service and delicious food. Naman was great as our waiter. The menu is so extensive, I had the Chilli Mogo, Colonel Saabs special butter chicken. Also had Kerela beef.

What an incredible restaurant. The team, the service, the food! Bravo. I was particularly impressed by the team's sensitivity to the allergies in our group. We were 8 people. Work event. In particular I would like to give huge kudos to Kunal who looked after us spectacularly. Bravo. Will be back!!

My friend wanted to treat me to a dinner as a birthday gift and we decided to give this place a go. We had made a reservation prior and on the day just 2 hours before the reservation time I was given a call to confirm my booking with an email link later sent to me to input card details as a way to secure that booking. It was still quiet when we got there at 6pm and we were seated in the corner. The interior design of the restaurant was absolutely majestic, lots of chandeliers installed in the high ceilings with plenty of photos and paintings around on red walls. It instantly felt like an extremely bougie place so just note not to wear anything too casual. We went with the dahi sev puri and paneer tikka as starters which were absolutely fantastic! The puris were so savoury and moreish and refreshing with the yoghurt filling, wish there were more of them. The paneer tikka was so delicious and got a pleasant mini kick to it which upped the flavour profile nicely. For mains, we ordered the signature butter chicken and prawn moilee in a coconut curry and some basmati rice and a kulcha with truffle and cheddar on the side. Wow the highlight for me was the kulcha, it's got a cheese pull to it I was so impressed! The portion of the basmati rice was very generous as well, definitely had more than enough for one person. Butter chicken was good but nothing exceptional, tender chicken pieces and not dry. Prawn moilee was pretty average again, I just personally don't really like sauce or paste that isn't stimulating or spicy so I wasn't a fan. Overall, the service was great from entering the restaurant to exiting. The staff were attentive and made sure we felt comfortable and we're happy with the food. They also took time to explain to us that we should have the dahi sev puri with our hands which made it a greater food experience for sure. Special shout out to Kunal for his fantastic service for the night! The downside for me was simply the price. I feel like for the price they charge their food it's not lived up to the standards. There are so many Indian places in London that offer the same quality, if not even better for a much lower price. So this is where it loses a star for the food category. Nonetheless, it's certainly a great choice for any kind of occasion if you are comfortable with your eating out budget.

Wonderful experience through years : came when it just opened and since then stayed authentic. Rony by whom i was wonderfully served, was in full dedication to my person. A true and marvellous journey to India !

Such a Royal Indian Restaurant, exceeded our expectations! Anshul's warm welcome set the tone. The menu is a flavor paradise, and the service is impeccable. Highly recommend!

Just back from India, i was missing their food so much so decided to try CS for dinner with some friends. We all loved the food and service - apart from one Dairy Free beef dish that my friend didn’t enjoy as too dry (it looked v much so but I didn’t try it as I don’t eat meat). Large portions and definitely no space left for dessert for us! No alcohol for us so not crazy expensive but still a place for special occasions i think.
