Tortilla Brighton

Restaurant Fast food restaurant Mexican restaurant Tortilla shop

🫤 I ordered the chicken tacos, using deliveroo and it was very disappointing. 3 small slightly stale tortillas with 18 crumbs of dry chicken, no sauce, no salad in the tortillas. Cost me 10 quid and was worth less than 1. People often mention burrito, staff, service, chicken, time, burritos, good, ordered, great, beef,

Went on the hunt for some Mexican food and this place hit the spot perfectly. Cute decor and amazing food. Would definitely recommend the chicken quesadilla. Also loved the organic lemonade. Will be back soon!

During my visit to the area, I couldn't help but notice the consistently long queue of people waiting to be served at this shop. Intrigued by the popularity, I decided to give it a try on a day when I was having my lunch later than usual. I opted for a large burrito, which turned out to be quite overwhelming in terms of portion size. I must admit that the taste of the burrito was excellent, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident. However, the sheer size of the portion caught me off guard. It was so large that I found myself struggling to finish it. In the future, if I happen to be in the area again, I would definitely consider ordering a smaller portion to avoid feeling overwhelmed by the size. Despite the initial surprise with the portion size, I can understand why this shop attracts such a large crowd. The quality of the food is undeniable, and the flavours are truly enjoyable. If you're someone who appreciates generous portions and doesn't mind the challenge of finishing a sizable meal, this place could be a perfect fit for you.

Tasty and fresh food each time but place is short staffed and can't cope with the demands of the area. Be aware between lunch time usual queuing time is around 20/25min. Each day barely 2-3 members of staff juggling tens of customers in line and takeaway orders on top of it. Add more staff please

Been coming to this branch for years and always got the beef burrito. Could tell something was off because the beef was swimming in liquid on the counter. But I trusted in it, and I knew it was bad because the server had to wrap it in a different piece of foil because the liquid was spilling out everywhere. You'd think at that point they'd advise the beef was too wet and offer something else but nope he wrapped it tight and handed it over, unwrapped it at the table to the soggiest burrito I've ever seen. I didn't even have anything else that should've added to the wetness. I went back and said could I have it remade with chicken instead because it was sodden but I was told 'thats just how the beef is' and that no they wouldn't make a new one. Not sure if it's inexperienced staff or a new soaked beef recipe but it's certainly not fit to be in a burrito.

Best food available to eat on the go in Brighton, healthy and vegetarian options available. My fav n only dish is NAKED BURRITO, i recommended this dish to all my friends and during summer we are here 3-4 times a week. Dont forget to put mild chili sauce, and a sprinkle of hot green chillies

Used to be amazing but they don’t listen to there customers. The chicken is now so baddd. They sent me the driest burrito recently and it sucked I asked for sauce they put none in. Miss the old Tortilla

The food we got was tasty, but we didn’t get a lot. The takeaway box wasn’t even halfway full. I hit the lettuce option on Deliveroo and I think there might just have been one whole lettuce leaf in there. If they’d actually given us value for money it would have been five star because it was delicious, but the portion size was basically just the dictionary definition of stingy. Disappointing but I mean at least it tasted nice.

Was the only person in, did not get acknowledged and waited 15 minutes while the two staff members were preparing orders for delivery drivers, from a customer service perspective just being looked at and acknowledged would have made me more than happy to wait or at least made aware of the orders they need to do. Ignoring customers who are in front of you is very disappointing

The burritos are good but not exceptional. I was really disappointed to see the horrible reception, I received. And the toilet not specially maintained! I advise against it. I was able to test the “wahaca” competitors, the service is much better and warmer!!!

Liliana really helped us really well with our first time visit. She explains the vegan menu perfectly and we have throughly enjoyed the food and the service that was provided today. We will for sure come back again.

We ordered 2 burritos, the staff was kind and friendly, the burritos were good, BUT the toilets was disgusting. Both the disabled and non-disabled toilets were extremely dirty, including the tiles that had been blackened with dirt for a long time. One of the dirtiest toilets in Brighton.

Super fast and delicious. Good portions on the burritos but the tacos are rather small (3 tacos) so go for the burrito if you are hungry. Plenty of options to choose from. You can even do a naked burrito (so a burrito without the wrap, served in a bowl)

Great build your own burritos. Super quick service and a couple of veggie options

If you are coeliac you should not eat here. As is usual you ask for gluten free food and get given gluten - I went at 630 yesterday and despite liking the food I can't get sick on an evening out. Avoid if you have an allergy.

Good food, but ordering the food is anxiety inducing! Not everything is labelled so you have to decide on the spot as the server very quickly asks you questions! When you cant hear what theyve said its quite confusing

It was okay. But very busy with staff who didnt seem to know what they were doing. The counters were extremely dirty and the staff made multiple mistakes on both orders me and a friend made. I ordered chicken but there was none left, rather than check if they were making more, the woman offered me another meat, I took pork, but two mins later more chicken came out. She added chicken to my order too since she made a mistake. This really nice, though I'm not sure if I got charged for it or not, hopefully not. But overall it made my burrito too big and made a big mess. I do appreciate the effort to fix it but I would have preferred a new one, but I'm aware they were busy so I understand why it wasn't her first choice. However, this staff member also dropped the pinto beans into the black beans and they just worked around it. This wasn't great because one is vegetarian and one isn't. My friend is veggie but the man did only take it from the side with black beans, but my vegetarian friend did find a pinto bean in their food which obviously isn't great.

Good Food, tried there buritto and rice bowl. Its good in taste and reasonably priced. The portions were also good..

Service was quick and friendly. But the burrito tasted very bland, as if no seasoning or anything had been added. The wrap was also almost entirely made up of rice rather than the other fillings I had selected. May have just been unlucky but wasn't too impressed.

Peter is a hard worker and you can tell he provides the best customer service, as well as other colleagues. The atmosphere in the work place from a customer point of view makes me want to work there. Friendly, good food, good vibes.

We had naked burritos, one was with carnitas (pork), the other one with chicken. Both were very very very delicious and very filling even without the wrap. We’re glad we decided to try this place out finally as we walked past it many times before :) The staff were friendly and nice, fairly quick service for eat in even though it was lunchtime and the delivery guy was waiting for some orders too. Also good value for money. We payed £20 for two naked burritos and two soft drinks. Will be back again!

Great service whether that's in restaurant or when you get it via deliver oo. Had delivery service twice and decided to visit. Lovely food, especially if you don't eat meat, it still had the flavours and options for all. Far better than that other company, they actually put plenty of filling into your taco and burrito making sure you have an enjoyable filling meal. 10 out 10 will eat again and again

A burrito is made rice beans and beef if you start charging for the main ingredient beef you might as well do it for all so a price of your own creation because 8,70 for the basic that is not included is a ripp off

Amazing experience, first time trying a burrito and some nachos from a Tortilla shop and will be looking forward to trying other choices soon. Lady serving was amazing and explained all the parts clearly and the tastes of each of the different meats, beans and sauces.

The food is great and I've been going here for years but the staff are incompetent, they don't speak or seem to understand English which is fine but not in a job where you need to be able to understand and be understood by customers, on top of that they seem absolutely clueless. I ordered a large naked bowl with extra vegan chilli, by the end the bowl as half full smh and I said this is supposed to be a large bowl? They looked a my like I was speaking gibberish! I don't think they understand what I'm saying. Unfortunately after years of clueless bad service here I'm done. Sort you employees out smh.

First time I've ordered from Tortilla in Brighton and I must say I'm not a fan. We ordered for 3 people - My order didn't arrive (the most expensive one) and a colleague ordered a Grilled Chicken Naked Burrito that didn't had chorizo in it. Tried to call them multiple times afterwards, couldn't get through! Not impressed with either quality or the service. Won't be coming back.

Mixed feelings about my visit. The burrito is delicious really enjoyed that and would happily have it again. Charging £1 for a bit of guacamole is offensive and should just be included in the price. Portions were well sized. The nacho chips were dreadful, a tiny portion with fake cheese sauce poured over the top with 2 blobs of salsa and guacamole and that's it. No heating or fresh cheese or other spices. Would not order again. Service was quick but not very personal and felt very rushed. A more welcoming approach wouldn't go amiss.

I've been into this Tortilla a few times, and each time, they are fast and friendly, and the food is great. Ciara and their team were really helpful the other day 👏 it's always a pleasure to go to.

I had the burrito bowl and unfortunately the food was hardly warm, with patches of cold and lukewarm bites throughout which was strange. If it was hot it would be nicer. Lack of vegan cheese was shocking aswell. Easy to get hold of for a restaurant in 2023..

Food was as expected from the chain, but the queue was farcical, deliveries were prioritised over actual customers. Waited 20 minutes, and only 4 people stood in front of us, massive delivery orders were constantly heading out the door.

Lovely place with great food! I got a bit lost in Brighton on a nice warm summer's weekend. Birds were singing, children were laughing, and the sun was shining. A gentleman who I believe was called Liam, who works in the kitchen (?). Got me back in the right direction as well as well as showing off his quick wit and friendly persona. Thank you, Liam and Tortilla restaurant. 10 stars 🌟

Decided to head in to Tortilla via recommendation from a friend. Tried pork burrito and churros and thoroughly enjoyed them both. Server on the day was Abbie and she was extremely helpful in assisting with my order. Will be back again very soon!
