Visited July 2021. Lovely clean beach and plenty of it. Some parts are open for dog walking. Few shops along the seafront. Was a hot day when we visited so lots of people on the beach and in the sea but not overcrowded. Can also enjoy a cliff top walk with great scenery if you have time.

One of my favourite beaches on the eastern coast of England. Sandy and clean. Massive car park with good prices. The beach is a heaven for dogs, but remember to bring a lot of drinking water for your pet. Not many places to eat if you move away from the town and queues at the counter can be massive. No toilets, except the ones at the car park.

Large stretch of beach to let my dogs run around and make new friends. Only certain sections of the beach are dog friendly all year round, although it's still sufficient space to let your dog off the lead. Waves aren't too choppy either so you can let dog go for a paddle without being too concerned. One of the better beaches we've gone to in North Yorkshire, which is very clean and has some soft sand. Public toilets available just above the beach and are relatively clean, just a bit dated.

Love Filey, the beach is dog friendly at either end of it. There are no dogs allowed in the middle part of the beach there is parking along the front that's free πŸ™‚, but space is limited. Lots of nice cafes and little shops. Worth a visit if you're in the area xx

Lovely beach and no loose sand flying all over... Ample places to sit so easy to adhere to social distancing.... Its a bit tricky as there is top side where there is beautiful place to walk but beach is further down after crossing another road so be careful while parking. The children paddling pool is another good spot for young kids to enjoy

Lovely beach, dogs allowed on certain parts only.....check signage before taking your dog on the sand. Can be busy in school holidays and obviously when the sun shines. Plenty of cafes, take aways and Ice cream stalls. The beach was relatively clean. Toilets are just across the road and are free. Parking can be tricky and you definately need to be early to get a parking space close to the front. It reminds me of an old fashioned seaside resort not over commercialised.

Love this place. Nice sandy beach without any rocks or pebbles. Good and easy access from both public parkings. Dogs allowed but restricted on the part from Coastguard Station to Royal Parade ( 1st May to 30th September). You can walk your dog over on the promenade. Lot of icecreams shops, fisheries and more.

Amazing place, the beach is very clean and we had lots of fun in there. I went on a sunny day so it was beautiful experience. If it is a full moon day by evening the tides become very long and the water would come till the entrance of the beach 🏝. Having a hot chocolate or a ice cream 🍦 and sitting on those public seating areas you can enjoy the beautiful view of the beach with cold breeze πŸƒπŸŒ¬ I have attached few clicks in the beach πŸ– I have enjoyed my visit to the beach, hope u enjoy yours.

Stopped here for brunch on a cycle ride. Nice promonade with a range of shops and cafes. Well maintained gardens and toilets. The tide comes right up to the wall so I don't know what the beach is like but most are sandy along here.

Such an amazing beach. There is so much to do along the front including getting snacks ( Ice-cream and fish and chips ) and doing activities including the rides on the front and mini golf! The views of the sea always get me. If you ever have a chance to come here, I would 100% recommend it!

It is one of the most best places to go to in the UK, very peaceful. Not much except a couple of fish and chips and tea, but it's beautiful. An outside shower.

Nice little typical seaside town. Plenty of parking at Filey Brigg country park. Two areas of the beach where dogs are allowed all year round.

Ive Stayed in filey many times. The beaches are beautifully clean as is the sea. The path down to the shore is tarmacadam but steep, however there is stopping seats half way up for those who need to rest. Filey is very much child , dog and disabled friendly, with wheelchair access onto the beach in the village area. It also as a local well stocked tesco if you run out of food. Would easily recommend a visit.

This was a while ago but been here was so peaceful, had a brilliant day with my church group, had a chilly swim in the sea for about an hour really enjoyed.

Lovely town, park, beach and Promenade. Clean and well maintained.

Wide stretches of sand, but not very deep of a beach. Filey is an open/exposed East facing beach front, so is vulnerable to strong winds. There are some beach huts, but these need to be privately hired and so are not easily available. A few snack outlets are available along the beachfront, but can be a good distance depending on where you end up along the long stretch of sand. Lifeguards do patrol the beach, which is a big advantage to this area, but you do still need to be aware of beach safety and should check any local warnings in place before use.

Miles of beautiful clean dog friendly beach. We enjoyed a wonderful walk and the dogs had a fantastic time running free on the beach and splashing in the sea. Free parking on the seafsont and a coffee shop, cafe and icecream parlour for refreshments is close by in the harbour (dogs must be kept on their leads in this area) 🐾

Parked in west ave car park which is fairly big and walked down the slope to the beach. Once at the bottom of the slope it’s signposted dogs only to the right and no dogs allowed to the left. As you get onto the beach it’s always really busy, but as you walk along away form the slope, it soon gets nice a quiet. Great stretch of sand to wallk the dogs on just make sure you check the tide times as I’m guessing at high tide there isn’t much beach to walk on. Dogs always love it when we come here and recommend coming here to walk your dogs or just to chill with the family.

Filey has a gorgeous large beach and is like a mini version of Whitby. I would love to visit again on a less windy day and walk more of the cliffs. We went on a weekday in September and there was no crab or much of any seafood in the food places. They say they only bother at weekends out of season. My husband found a nice burger and I had a mediocre panini. We did get hot donuts on the way back though which were amazing.

One of the best beaches in the U.K. Filey is small and elegant town. The beach is perfect. Miles of white sand and rocks. What a fantastic place to spend a few hours walking dogs. Dog friendly beach. Spotless clean. Easy parking. Check for low tide to enjoy the far end of the beach, perfect for seals and oyster catchers and other birds spotting. Also fantastic cliff top walk. Teas, coffees, ice-cream, drinks and fish & chips are available.

August 2022. At weekend visted Filey beach. Expansive beaches, pretty gardens and lots of shops. Didn't stay long, but will be back in future! Good beach to visit.

Great beach with toilet facilities and life guards. The parking is a little walk away through the park but worth it. There's no better place to be on s sunny day!

The pictures do not give it justice! It is a beautiful beach! Very very clean! It is a MUST visit. This is by far one of the best beaches I have visited especially out of season if you are a dog walker! It is so big & plenty of room. Recently visited, and there were hundreds and I mean hundreds of dogs on the beach. My dog is nervous on his lead so I was worried at first especially how many dogs were running off their lead. But all the dogs were under control, safe enough distance considering there were LOADS of them. Prefer this beach over Scarborough. My dog is only nervous on his lead with dogs around, good off his lead with other dogs but tends to run to say hi to every dog, so decided to put him on the training lead. He had so much freedom & no dog while we were visiting was bothered, which made me so comfortable. The town is beautiful. There is a few little cafes/ice shop near by.
