This oyster happy hour has a strong reputation for a reason — it generously delivers. We recently revisited Crave UWS after a 1.5 year long hiatus from it (not intentional, just hadn’t gone in a long time). It was fantastic. My husband and I are trying to cut back on our *imbibing*, which can be hard to do at a happy hour. However, they have a good non-alcoholic beer on hand and who ever said tonic and lime doesn’t go great with oysters? Exactly. We ordered a dozen blue points and two cherrystone clams to kick it off. SO GOOD and SOOO HUGE. Honestly the blue points were actually a little too big for my taste! However, they’re tasty and you get your moneys worth. The raw bar offerings are cold, crisp, clean, no matter what you choose to order. It really lets you enjoy the nuances between the different oysters. My friend from CA looooved the Shibumi’s! I highly recommend this spot if you like seafood and especially if you like oyster happy hours. The other items on the happy hour menu are also delish. Get shuckin!

Enjoyed a family gathering here for New Years. I did not get to sample them but the beautiful Blue Point Oyster platters I saw going by had me regretting not doing so. I had a delicious squid ink spaghetti that incorporated chopped shrimp, garlic, chiles for a little punch, and clam stock. I was also intrigued by and tried the garlic chive griddled rice, which was a side and made of snap peas, egg and rice, which was good if a little dry. There were no complaints about any of the entrees and the deserts (I had a taste of a good Sunday). Laid back atmosphere, very attentive staff, it is on the upper west side, so expect premium prices.

It offers an exceptional experience for oyster enthusiasts and seafood lovers alike. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere exuded a lively energy, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The staff are not only friendly and attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about oysters. Their passion for the culinary delicacy was palpable, enhancing our enjoyment as they guided us through the menu and offered insightful recommendations. Before Covid, I came here and I gave three stars because food was a bit salty. today, they have a new manager and I cannot wait to come back!

Expensive but good, some dishes have a larger portion of fish than others. We ordered the barramundi and tuna dishes, with oysters. The barramundi was great, maybe a bit over seasoned but plenty of fish. The tuna was much smaller in size, with a lot of corn hash to make up for it. We came for the oysters, and they did not disappoint.

EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT. From our host Maria, our server and crew, to the FOOD. Drinks: Smoke & Mirrors (short glass) & Japanese Highball (tall glass). Appetizers: Nashville Style Crispy Fish Tacos(2 pc), Hand-Cut Fries, and a variety of oysters. Entrees: Handmade Spicy Squid Ink Spaghetti & Oven Roasted Barramundi. Dessert(Not Shown) : Giant Chocolate Cookie w/ Vanilla Ice Cream. Extra: Bloody Mary Oyster Shooters (red drink) Every thing excellently prepared and displayed. Atmosphere was very relaxed, especially for a Friday night, yet still booked to capacity. We WILL return!

Excellent Oyster happy hour and kid friendly Great drinks, high quality oysters Had a mix of east and west coast oysters. The basic wellfleet were actually the best for our palate. Bloody Mary was excellent! Fish Tacos were well done would recc The kids meals were okay The Seabass crudo was a bit heavy on the sauce and could have been better trimmed. Salmon tostada was good

Good food, good service, a little loud. Prices not out of line for a fancy Manhattan restaurant. Big portions. Would go again. Squid appetizer excellent, main dishes not quite as good.

Loved it! Awesome filling portions and tasty food. Plenty of seating. All seatings are well spaced, cozy and airy. Our Server was fabulous. We ordered fish tacos and a fried fish sandwich (about $18 each) with mimosa and a non-alcoholic cocktail (pictures attached). Our bill was $30-35 per person.

The food is decent. For appetizers, we shared the calamari and the fish tacos. The calamari was crispy, and the sauce was flavorful without being overpowering. The fish tacos were also good. I got the crab fusilli for my entree, and while the crab had nice flavor, the overall dish was a bit bland and under-seasoned.

Our favorite brunch place in the neighborhood. The food never fails, oysters always fresh, and the Bloody Mary, hands down, the best I have ever had. Been there multiple times and the service is always exquisite, you can feel genuine hospitality from them. Love love love this place a lot.

Went during a beautiful Sunday around happy hour and sat outdoors. The cocktails were some of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend the spicy marg 🌶️. The seafood itself was delicious and very fresh. The salmon sashimi tosdada— wow. Crudo— ditto. Nashville style fish tacos— 🤤 Unfortunately devoured everything rather quickly so only got a picture of the oysters, but they have an amazing selection and also serve with grapefruit (which I hadn’t seen previously). Will definitely be back!

Came here for brunch. We used our pulsd deal and had a wonderful experience. The Bloody Marys are not that good. It was too tomatoey. We got the mimosas and they were better. The lobster rolls are not surprisingly very small. Get the squid ink spaghetti if you want something more substantial. We also ordered the oysters which were really good and fresh. The decor was nice and servers attentive.

I love the design and ambience of this place. You get a lot of personal space between tables. The seafood is fresh and the service is efficient, but generally the staff isn’t very friendly/warm. Oysters 🦪 are the main event and are perfectly presented and super fresh. The lobster roll has guacamole in it which I was excited about but later realized was a bridge too far, and the fries are weak. I’d suggest this place more for happy hour (oysters and white wine), and head up the street to Mermaid 🧜‍♀️ Inn if you want the best seafood dinner in the area (with a lobster roll and old bay fries to live for).

Happy Hour every day from 4 - 6. Best Oysters available. $1.50 for large Blue Points can’t be beat. Pair it with an ice cold Pilsner and it’s the perfect summer late afternoon snack. Service is great. Seating available inside and outside. I hear the foods excellent, but I can’t get past the oysters!!!

We went around the holidays and it was beautifully decorated outside and inside. The staff/waiters are amazing and attentive! Oysters are delicious and fresh -It’s been 24hrs since I ate there and didn’t get sick :) so that’s good! Happy hour is from 4-6 and that prices are very reasonable includes cocktails wine beer and food! For the main course (after 6pm) we had squid ink pasta, lobster roll and steak! All were very delicious and good portion.

We were a party of six and everyone loved their meal. Large portions of fresh and delicious fish. Unique sushi appetizers. Lively but not too noisy to hear everyone at the table. We were too full for dessert so can't comment on that portion of the menu.

My sisters and I hosted a 90th Birthday Brunch for my mom at the Upper West Side location. Everything was smooth from the planning to the day of the event. The service and atmosphere was outstanding! Everyone was acommodating and the food was delicious! Thank you all for making this special occasion even extra special!

Happy Hour is a great time to go to Crave. Great cocktails and specials, and the oysters are terrific.

Amazing seafood and ambiance in a laid back atmosphere. The lobster curry was some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. Get it with the griddle rice on the side.

Wonderful meal here this evening. The seafood was fantastic but so was everything else. Started with some sushi. Multiple people mentioned the rice was excellent which is normally not the case for a non-sushi restaurant. Same for the pasta dishes. Very generous portions of crab on perfectly cook pasta. Charming service and a fair price for the high quality.

Upgrading my original review from 4 stars to 5. Lovely space, kind and attentive servers, and excellent food! We have come for brunch the last few times. The shucker's choice oysters ($1.50 a piece) and drink life a fish special (90 minutes for bottomless drinks- even some cocktails!) are a real draw. The tuna tostada is a must order every time. I was super impressed by the sushi bowl, too. Everything is fresh and inventive. Will be back soon!

Popped in for a quick beer, impromptu. They treated me so nice. Had a few Well fleet oysters on their suggestion and they were so fresh and good. I’m coming back for a proper meal. Wonderful staff.

The oysters were fresh the service was fast and the prices were typical Manhattan

The great thing about their kale salad is that it harmoniously mixes different ingredients while not giving up the kale base. I was surprised by how delicately goat cheese can be added to the salad. And there's no enough way to praise the squid ink spaghetti. It carries a novel spiciness--not the typical tongue-striking or nose-running way; and it's salty in a genuinely appetizing manner. The impeccable service of our server only took the dinner experience to the pinnacle of delight.

The interior was so pretty, you immediately feel like you’ve left the city. We had reservations, so we were immediately given a seat. We ordered from the brunch & lunch Menu. The Seared Rare Yellowfin Tuna was AMAZING. The flavors, the proportion size, just everything about this dish was great! The Lobster Roll was not my dish, but I did try it and thought the proportion size didn’t match its price ( gave less than expected). I also wasn’t a big fan of the aioli they add to the lobster. Fries were good. We also had the unlimited drinks which was a pretty great deal !!! All in all, I’d definitely recommend this place. The service and food were great.

Nice place in one of my favorite areas in Manhattan. Food is tasty but didn’t impress me… maybe because I ordered the seafood bowl not in bowl or Japanese restaurant. Nothing to complain maybe I just had too high expectation after reading all five star ratings.

We love this place. So happy to be back after covid. Make sure to go for happy hour from 4 to 6

  • 4/5 Rachel L. 2 years ago on Google
The staff was very attentive, which was very nice. Make sure everyone in your group likes seafood, because the menu is limited and does not have non seafood options except for one vegetarian pasta.

I went there on a whim and Wow. I love everything about this place from the hostess, server and food. I had a drink and some oysters. The drink was delicious and strong. The oysters were deliciously fresh and shucked beautifully.I look forward to trying more of this menu.

After a rough ride here some years ago, we had an exceptional evening. Goes to show you that every kitchen can have an off night. Our bartender made excellent dirty martinis, the entrees and apps were on point, and the manager made an extra effort to welcome us. We will be back. Well done all around, Crave!

Cocktails were excellent. Food..not so much. The portions were quite uneven—I got more food than I could possibly eat but my mom’s meal was a very small portion. The menu descriptions sounded delicious but the food just wasn’t very tasty and it was incredibly expensive. Would only go back for cocktails or happy hour.

Dropped off some film and was in the mood for oysters so I looked on google the closes place. I remember being here once but can’t remember that visit, but this time that I was here was amazing. Got there at 5pm which was during the happy hour period. Ordered a dozen oysters that were on happy hour, salmon sashimi tostadas, a slider, and cold crab claws paired with some wine. Everything was amazing. This was a solo date for myself and it was really comfy to able. Staff was amazing, my bartender did her thing. This is my new happy hour spot

Fresh oysters, nice environment But our server was too late to respond everything Food was good especially oyster and salmon, but don’t get fries that is not crispy at all

Enjoyed a bottomless brunch with the upgraded margarita option. The calamari and oven roasted barramundi were both delicious. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I ate indoors but the outdoor seating looked comfortable.
