Super friendly service , tasty pastries and awesome coffees , I was in Golden Co. for three nights on vacation and this was my go to place for excellent service and coffee, definitely will come back if I’m ever in Golden again

You go here to support a local shop and their nice views - but the coffee is just ok. If you’re a tea drinker or like flavored coffee things you’ll probably get more out of this shop than the straight latte drinker.

Nice cozy coffee shop. Decent coffee, definitely a favorite among Golden locals and students. Tried the Dark Hazelnut latte.

If your looking to get some freshly coffee after a hike, then look no further. Got a iced tiramisu latte with soy which is on point. They have some nice seating inside but decided to enjoy this delicious beverage outside on their patio. Hopefully I can come back to try another drink.

This is the ultimate place. Coffee is awesome and the staff is so hospitable and helpful. The indoors area is just as inviting as the outdoors area. The location is great and there is some (2 hours parking) around it. It opens early (lucky me) and has a great variety of beverages and food. I got the Yerba mate latte and it was excellent. I will be back!

A truly great coffee shop! The interior is very uniquely Colorado, while also being hip and cozy. The menu is impressive, but the prices are very reasonable. I ordered the Pumpkin Chai Latte and was impressed with the flavors. Way richer than Charbucks chai lattes, and the pumpkin flavor was unusual because it actually tasted like pumpkin - not just the spices usually associated with pumpkin pie, but the actual pumpkin flavor as well. A great coffee shop, highly recommend.

Was here on a business trip and this place was right next door to our hotel. Rather than go to the Starbucks down the road I decided to try here and I'm really glad that I did. The staff here was amazing and on the second day, he knew what I was going to order. If I'm ever in town again I'll definitely be stopping by. Some seriously good coffee!

Definitely give this cute little cafe a stop in! I just had the pumpkin spice chai, dirty, which was not too sweet and not too bitter. Cute outdoor seating area too. Dog friendly.

Just got back to our hotel from visiting Higher Grounds and we could not have had a better experience. Nathan was such a pleasure to deal with! He was so personable and very helpful! And the coffee is pretty great too! Thank you, we will be back!

Coffee was okay. Pastries were dry and tasteless. Barista was nice but he wiped the tables with his palm and then wiped his palm on his jeans what made me question if they bother to clean properly. The best thing there was a corner with high furniture and plants which looked very cozy. Unfortunately, there was only one chair, so we sat elsewhere. We saw some people there that looked like patrons. I just've been in much better places for the price.

I got the Hummingbird iced latte and a cinnamon role. So yummy!

They were SOOOO fast. Ordered 7 drinks and they were out in 5 minutes. And it was good. Mine was not particularly sweet but I got sugar free. And my frappe was melted because the guy didn't get all of it out. But they were kind and fast and quite tasty.

Nice outdoor space to work. Wifi was great. Chai latte (half spice and half sweet) was still a little too sweet and not very flavorful, but was pleasant.

Such a cute little place. Exceptionally friendly service, if the barista doesn't make you laugh it's a reflection on you not the staff. Great coffee and tasty baked goods. I wish I could come all the time.

This place is always so good! I sat and read for over an hour, enjoying a huge hot green mug of tea and a delicious blueberry scone served with truly excellent service. It was so great I got a spicy Chai before I left. Wow!

A quick 'coffee' search led me to Higher Grounds, and I'm really glad it did! When you walk into Higher Grounds you instantly feel like you belong. It has an excellent ambiance that is warm and welcoming. Jeff and Jay were taking care of things behind the counter, and were a real delight. A quick exchange of my likes/dislikes allowed for some wonderful recommendations from Jay, which ended up being a Cortado with the Vegetarian Burrito. They were also quite helpful in sharing a few other local shops to check out while in Golden. I have really enjoyed the small town feel of Golden, and the businesses willingness to support each other. Go check out Higher Grounds Cafe next time you're in Golden. You won't be disappointed!

A wonderful coffee shop. The cold brew tasted great. It was a great remote work location (with the caveat that their wifi does NOT work with VPNs). Their patio had outlets and a spectacular view.

This is my go to coffee shop in Golden. There are a few 15 mins spots out front that make it easy to stop in for a coffee. The baristas are always friendly. Nice seating both inside and out. I came in on Friday and they play Hawaiian music on Friday....I love that!! Give it a try.

I wish I could give this place 100 stars. They have the NICEST staff of any coffee shop I have ever been to. Incredibly warm and friendly. They greet most customers by name. Good coffee, good pastries. A gem 😍

We tried this place while visiting Colorado, because friends don’t let friends be sellouts and drink Starbucks, but we were not terribly impressed. I’m seeing a lot of similar comments about how the barista(s) have been rude, and our experience was no different. It’s unacceptable how she treated us and I would never continue to employ someone with no customer service skills as a barista, of all jobs. The cold press we ordered was alright.

This is my favorite coffee place in Golden. Nathan is an absolute character and always so friendly, and Jeff, the owner, knows all the frequent customers’ names (I hope to be included in that category one day)! There’s always very cool art and it’s a great place to kick back and get some work done for a few hours or sit outside on the deck and hang out with friends. And as an added bonus, the coffee is delish!!

This was a cute coffee shop at the end of the main drag in Boulder. It was a busy place but the staff was pleasant and friendly. They make a selection of coffee drinks, including Turkish coffee. This was my first time having this type of coffee and I really enjoyed it. If you do order it, be aware of the large amount of grounds that will be at the bottom of the cup.
