If you are interested in history and manufacturing, and you would love to see the evolution of appliances, this free museum at the Gütersloh Headquarters of Miele. This 111 year old company started out with butter churners and cream separators and eventually moved to washing machines, motorcycles, and vacuums. As you walk through this small exhibit, you walk through history. Not only do you get to see the progression of machines, you also get to see some of the marketing materials. The golden age of advertising is represented from the 50s and 60s. If you are looking to kill and hour, or really love seeing history, this is for you.

I stumbled on this gem museum on my morning walk in Gütershol. Washing clothes have come a long way from the boiling hot water to washing modern machines today. They had past and present washing machines, dryers, vacuums, bicycles and a classics car. Oh oh oh cool wicker chairs you sat down and played music to rest on your busy days. This place is located East side of town and worth checking out.

From wheelbarrows and ladders, to motor bikes and cars, to washing machines and high-tech kitchens ... a complete gamut of technical innovations. Beautifully restored and presented artifacts - a place to spend a couple of facinating hours. I particularly enjoyed the video presentation of the barrel-makers assembling washing tubs out of oak staves. It`s free and the staff are super friendly.

Interesting little exhibition about Miele products over the past 100 years. From the beginnings (washing tubs, bicycles, mopeds, cars), through the technical advances of the past decades (washing machines, dishwashers, microwaves) to the current products in our own showroom. I would especially like to mention the nice receptionist!

Unfortunately I will no longer buy a Miele appliance! Anyone who moves German jobs to Poland should also sell the equipment there! Polish consumers probably all buy a washing machine between 1600 and 2600 euros! I was always prepared to pay more for a product from Germany! From now on, China garbage only costs 1/6 if at all! If the Chinese scrap is broken, throw it in the dump and don't call Miele customer service again! Very sustainable! Thank you Miele! Unfortunately it won't work for the two of us, and it's not me, it's you!

Nice museum with history of Miele. You will find a lot of different types of machines made by Miele through the years. Also fun for the kids because they see and use most of the household machines everyday.
