Juma Chebet(Elgon Trek SIPI) organized the 3 days’ trekking from Mbale to the summit of Mount Elgon. He also trekked with us, was taking care of everything, and supported with the relationship with local porters and cook. 5 stars to him. You can trust him and his trekking company.

What an epic trip! It was a challenge to climb mount Elgon but I loved it. It was super well organised by Juma so we didn’t have to worry about anything but getting up there. The mountain itself is stunning and the camping gear was new and kept well/clean and the chef was fab. 💯 recommend Juma/ Elgon trek

Fantastic hike up My Elgon with Juma! Everything was organised well and we had a brilliant time!

We ascended Mt. Elgon starting on the 12th of August 2022 as a group of 8 Belgian students. We organised the trip a week upfront with the tour guide, Juma. Juma was always very open, honest and flexible about the costs, itenary and practical arrangements. Juma and team (porters, cook and guides) took amazing care of us and supplied us with fresh meals, coffee, tea, water and snacks every day. Together, Juma’s team helped us make the 4-day trek an interesting and unforgettable experience during which we felt safe at all times. Thanks very much to Juma and his team! We did the sipi falls hike with Juma. He is very passionate about his job/hobby. Excellent communication skills and knowledge. It was an enjoyable trip walking with him. Because of the rain, we cutted the trip short but the guide took the extra mile to take us to another viewpoint to see the part that we missed, so he searches for alternatives when the weather changes the plan. You get full value for your money. If we come back to Uganda for other walks, we will surely contact him.

Juma helped us organize the hike to Sipi Falls. We did the hike with Eddie and had a great time! I never felt rushed and we took enough breaks to really enjoy the view and catch our breath. The falls were beautiful and we learned a lot about the plants and community along the way!
