Really love the Lido. Little cafe to buy some chips. Very large pool. Little pool for kids. Not going to lie the water is freezing. I come here only when it's boiling outside so then you ready to take a cold dip. Gone are the days when you could go in the morning and spend the whole day here. You have to book a slot now. Morning or evening. I have made them lose a star for this.

This South London oasis just gets better with every hot summer 🔥. Get there early (the queues run to >2 hrs by midday) and mix it up with the locals. This is the melting pot that only the UK's capital city can cook up; 9 Months to 90 yrs old, black, white, pink or green. They're all here for a dip in that majestic Victorian pool. Why not you?

Formidable, Edwardian, outdoor pool, not heated, just short of 100 meters ! Nice big lanes during the lane swim times. Shower blocks as well as individual change cubicles along the pool side. Lawn area is nice in sunny weather, and there is also a kiddies pool there. The cold water delivers a post-swim high ! Tip: A hot shower and walk wet to the pool helps adjust to the cold water by gentle evaporation. Small cafe does coffee and bacon butties.

With its 91.44mt length, Tooting Bec Lido is the biggest outdoor swimming pool in the UK. There are plenty of changing cubicles, plus showers and toilets. There is a coffee shop and picnic tables to enjoy a coffee on a sunny day. Entrance fees are just less than £8 per person without membership. Check the times as they may vary depending on the season.

This is my first year swimming in the Tooting Lido, after 9 years living in the area. It takes some time to get used to the water temperature, the benefits of swimming daily in colder temperatures is the main reason I go... Now that the temperature is not a problem.. I need to work on my swimming style and keep up with all the good swimmers😊

Once I’d downloaded the Places Locker app it was easy to book my swim. Loved swimming in this lido. The pool is nearly 100m in length and 30m wide so is double Olympic sized! Swam on 30th May during the gradual re-opening of England following the COVID-19 pandemic. The laned swim goes across the pool so is 30metres. I changed on the pool side which was easy enough, as already wearing my swimming cossie. Water was a ‘refreshing’ 14.5 degrees and I soon acclimatised, managing some face in water swimming after about 8 lengths. I’ve rated Tooting Bec 4* - just a lick of paint and lockers would get this pool rating up to 5 very easily.

Great day out with the kid! Please note that you can't join your friends in the queue. There's security checking it along the line and you will all have to move to the back of the line if you disagree with the rule. Only join the queue when the whole party is there. loved the fact that there's a green area.

Tooting Bev Lido what to say my son love to go here and enjoy the sun and some nice chips and drink. The swimming pool is busy so you must book early online to not get disappointed.

If you are fixing this site please don't make it a lido but a closed swimming pool so it can be used all year round and people can swim in the cold weather months as well as it is cold and that's okay on a hot summer's day only and please removed the 1 hour fixed time slots . The pool side cafe also needs to sell affordable food pricing out families and locals.

Place needs a little bit of tlc (paint, refurbish, clean etc). They do have lifeguards there. Was not prepared to that cold water in the middle of may but who expected this spring to be that cold. Had to buy a wetsuit after signed up for membership which is a bit confusing since lido became a part of big gym chain. You still can get your simple membership without obligations to pay big bucks, just register at the correct South London’s swimming society website. No showers available.

Came here to take my child for baby gym. Premises are clean. Staffs were very friendly. We reached when there was already a session going on. They sanitised everything for the next session. Children were guided with safety precautions.

Great spot in London. Looking forward to returning! Would only say the out door changing rooms need a good make over. Full of spider webs and very dark, uncomfortable to get changed in after a gorgeous swim. Would be amazing if they added a few loungers too but overall 7/10 really happy day out

Great outdoor swimming spot. Try avoid peak times if you want a relaxed swim. Travel light as there aren't lockable lockers (unless you bring your own padlocks) however don't let that discourage you from visiting, will be going again for a morning swim!

We really liked it. The pictures on Google don't show it but there's a cute little kids pool and around it there are trees and grass . The kids love playing in the water. The cafe staff are lovely and there are also changing facilities for the whole family. The adult pool is huge and looks real fun.

Lovely relaxed place to spend an afternoon. Cafe has a good combination of classic pool café options (Ice creams, hot dogs, hot chocolate) and more expensive treats like halloumi kebabs. Good sun trap.

Great outdoor pool. The staff is OK, and generally the facilities are decently maintained. If you plan on going buy the ticket online ahead of the date since it sells out quite quickly. There are swim only sessions (lane swimming) and casual swimming (all welcome)

It's a really large outdoor swimming pool, which is well worth a visit on a hot Summer's day. You can book online in advance, to avoid any disappointment, as there are a limited number of places available for each session. The water isn't heated and was a little bit cold for my liking, however on the whole it's a nice place to spend a few hours.

They have recently cleared all the green algae from the bottom of the deep end of the pool as well, so it now looks even better! Very well organised. They come out and check your bags and name whilst you're in the queue waiting for your session to start so that when the time comes everyone gets in quickly which is excellent planning. There's a table tennis table, ice cream van, hot food and snacks shack and lots of additional changing round the pool. The pool is huge so plenty of space for swimming and the water is clear and clean too. Perfect for those hot summer days. The water fountain by the food shack keeps you cool whilst you wait too, and behind it is the outdoor shower which is perfect for when you exit the shallow end.

I love this pool. It’s more like a swim in a lake or the sea it’s so huge, it can be pretty chilly (well freezing), but it’s always invigorating. The staff are friendly. I’ve never swum in another pool which you can share with a duck bobbing about. Would be improved if they installed some lockers for valuables whilst you swim.

One of the better lidos in London. Large pool with showers, cubicles and a small number of lockers. The water is cold but on a hot day it’s amazing. The poolside cafe is expensive but has a good selection of food & drinks. My biggest complaint is the difficult booking system. The pool also closes between 1-2pm, which doesn’t make much sense, you’re kicked out unceremoniously at 10 minutes prior so you’re not getting your full allocated time as it means there’s very little flexibility. If you have a question, forget about calling. They don’t answer the phone.

Lovely lido. Booking opens a week in advance on placesleisure.org. You book your 45 min slot. When you arrive, check in at the window then queue up outside until the swimmers from the previous session have left, then head on in, change in a changing room and swim. You can leave your stuff in the cubicle or in one of the lockers, using your own padlock. The lanes are 30m long. You can hop in a lane at the shallow end and the water’s up to waist-height, or at the deep end. Toilets available during covid, and one outdoor shower available to rinse off. Pool is in heated but water temp is posted on Instagram A siren goes off when it’s time for you to leave the pool. Beautiful lido in a lovely green space, and well worth a visit.
