A hidden gem worth travelling for. I was living in the area for a year and couldn’t believe I didn’t know about this amazing place until the week I was leaving. There was no way I was giving up the BEST fish n chips I’ve ever come across in the entire suburbs of Melbourne. I travel miles to come here and let me tell it is absolutely worth it. I love potato cakes and have searched high and low for the best and found them here! Crispy, crunchy batter and creamy potatoes every single time. The burgers are sensational and the fish is so fresh. Of course the chips are great too (forgot to get a pic but trust me they are good) Such a great menu! Quality is always 💯 Now to the service - absolutely amazing and the most friendly I’ve ever encountered. Beautiful owners. Do yourself a favour and try the best fish n chips.

Just moved to the area, so first time we visited this shop. A very friendly lady served us, food good and good value for money deals. Decent size flake, chips and potato cakes nice too. Very happy with order, will definitely be back 😊

My partner has been coming to this fish and chip shop for over 20 years. He swears by the food and the owner Zarah is so lovely. Great food at a great price and wonderful customer service! His fav is the hamburger with the lot :)!

My partner and I decided to order fish n chips after a long day (I weeded the whole back of my garden basically, took ages but had to be done!) Anyway after a discussion on what we were going to order we made a phone call to Banff St Fish & Chips and made the order we had just discussed. The 15 minute wait felt like a lifetime as we thought about unwrapping our white paper bag of fish n chips. Anyway we got in the car (I drove) and made our way down to Banff st fish & chips to pick up the fish n chips. It wasn’t too long before we were pulling up out the front and I went in to get the fish n chips whilst my partner waited patiently in the car. Next up was the drive home which I won’t go into, only so far as to say I put the pedal to the metal so I could get home to eat my fish n chips sooner! When we got home we unwrapped the paper bag and took a few pics for our google review (pics attached) and started to tuck in to what turned out to be an absolutely amazing meal of fish n chips!!! Thankyou to Banff St Fish & chips for a stunning meal. We will be back!

I probably come here enough to be considered a regular, but this isn't my nearest Fish and Chip shop. I go the extra distance to come here as the quality of the food is probably among the best I've seen at a fish and chip shop for a very long time. The customer service is also really good. The woman that owns the shop is always friendly and obviously takes the time to get to know the locals and their families. I guess the best way to describe this place is the sort of fish and chip shop that we had when I was a kid, where everyone was warmly welcomed, the food was great, and they chucked in a few extra potato cakes with your order. Highly recommend.

Banff Fish n Chips were kind enough to supply enough food for 30 people on our construction site, where everyone loved the tasty hot food.. We could not recommend a better place to have takeaway for a function or just a tasty meal on any given day! Well done and thanks to all involved..

Staff were very friendly and service was prompt. Food was at a high standard, however wouldn’t recommend the calamari.

Have tried multiple times to call and no answer, I will admit it was just over half an hour before closing which is why I have a 2 not a 1. But I risked it and rocked up at 8:15, 15minutes til close and lights were off and someone was pulling out from parking. Pretty disappointing. I would at least like to be answered and told their not taking orders anymore.

I have been coming here for years and the quality and service has always been wonderful and consistent. Always greeted with a smile, never a long wait and during busy periods I can always call my order in and know it will be ready within the stated timeframe. Everything is fresh, oil is clean, food is never greasy or over salted and the potato cakes are just fantastic. Great family run business and the stand out for traditional fish and chips in Reservoir.

Best fish and chips shop I've ever been to. The souvalakis are delicious they use proper quality meats and the bread is to die for! The potato cakes are the best I've ever had, crunchy, clean oil, soft potato. I just enjoyed a burger with the lot and again top notch everything I order 👌

Today I visited this charming fish and chip shop, and it won't be my last. The hamburger was a taste sensation, with a perfect blend of flavors, and the potato cakes were wonderfully fresh! The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the friendly staff, made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend 😊

Great quality, me and the missus moved into the area recently and was delighted to have such a great fish and chip shop just a 30 seccond walk from home, Have not let us down so far. flake and butterfish are beautifully crispy same with the potatocakes which are hard to find good ones these days. Found this place by accident. I was looking for some great Fish and Chips whilst in the area and this place had a high rating. I felt it was a bit too high and wondered if it would match up... Or if the locals were just overly generous in their reviews. I'm happy to say that the high rating is justified and would highly recommend it without a doubt. I'll be going back for sure. Not disappointed!
