I went to Joshua with acute back and neck pain. His place of work is also his home, where you can see on the wall he has framed evidence of completing a degree in osteopathy in the 90s and a further PHD in acupuncture. I found Joshua’s methods did not alleviate my pain whatsoever. Lying face down on the massage table, Joshua put a couple of acupuncture needles behind my right shoulder blade and the base of my neck. He connected the needles to a TENS machine for a few minutes while he did his notes on the computer. Then he took out the needles and said he would like to do some ‘laser therapy’. When I asked what this was, he said sarcastically ‘it’s therapy using lasers’. I was still lying face down when I felt him move, what could have been a tv remote for all I knew, along my back a couple of times. I felt nothing.. by this point i was certain Joshua was not going to do anything to relieve my pain. Additionally it was difficult to breathe comfortably through the blue roll he had chosen to frame the face cushion. And that was it. He had hardly touched my back and neck and told me it would sort itself out in a few days. I left feeling more distressed than before. The next day I saw a different osteo who pretty much cured me of my problem. He spent a good hour dry needling, massaging my muscles in my neck and back (not just the right side) and manipulating my spine. I felt instant relief and could move my neck again. I have never taken the time to leave a bad review and I’m sure alternative therapy works for some people, but I would want to know this information before booking an appointment with Joshua.

I was recommended Josh by a family member to treat a pinched nerve in my back. After trying many other therapies, Josh was the only one that fixed it. He is very in sync with the human body and he knows exactly what areas to work on. I have seen him several times for other issue and he always gets it sorted, quickly! I highly recommend!

A few months ago I was bedridden with Covid and the lack of movement caused my lower back to seize up making walking impossible, let alone getting onto my knees from a lying down position. I saw a GP who told me to lose weight and forget about ever playing soccer again. A week later and a professional paddle boarder told me Josh had totally transformed his back and he was back doing what he loved. I’m so grateful that Josh was so positive from the outset- he did acupuncture, applied electricity through the needles and did some adjustments. After this Josh gave me some basic exercises to do and within a two weeks I was able to take a 25 hour flight to the UK and start playing soccer/football again. Can’t thank you enough Josh and will always recommend you to anyone in need of support with their back.
