This is my first night here. The room is clean, tidy and comfortable, but there’s NOTHING else good about it - I can’t order my own choices for a $15 continental breakfast - they put together a “brekky box” with random things from each category. Breakfast has to be after 0800hrs, even if you need to get away early. The restaurant is closed today, so I had to hunt down somewhere else to eat for which the staff could not give recommendations. I had people park right in front of my room which made it almost impossible for me to get into my room. I spoke with the manager and he said they can’t do anything to help. I went and bought orange juice myself and was able to get a meal. They recommended a pub up the road which had really good food for great prices.

Grubby, rundown, very dated. I had flashbacks to sharehouses in my early 20s, especially the bathroom. Damaged taps, mould stained grout, water damaged cupboards, rusty hinges, chunks missing out of the door, ill-fitting toilet seat that slides around when you sit on it, the wall outline of the previous cistern that they haven't bothered to paint over. Dark apartment with low natural light, saggy couch with armrests that smell like sour milk, stray hairs in the bed, hard pillows, lumpy mattress, wobbly desk, scuffs and scratches and cracks on the walls, old threadbare rugs, cobwebs throughout, and a filthy feature window blocked by a wall that doesn't let light in. The front door handle/lock isn't even attached to the door properly, rattles around when you use it and feels like it's going to fall off. It would take very little effort to break in. There's a sign on the wall saying you can't use the kettle and the microwave at the same time otherwise it will trip the fuse. I'm really confused why there's a fine dining restaurant attached to/affiliated with this place, or why it has any good reviews at all. Defs not with the money.

It was a last minute decision to go to Geelong. And I tell you we were not disappointed at all. What a lovely place to visit but the accommodation made all the more better to stay. We stayed for two nights in a lovely room. The service was excellent and you also get the luxury of a restaurant on the premises and room service if you so desire. I highly recommend staying here if you want a simple place to put your stuff and rest your head after a day of travel and exploring. Thank you team for making our trip absolutely enjoyable and memorable.

We had a recent 3 night stay and everything was spick and span. The superior queen room was very spacious. There is a little traffic noise evident in front rooms as the motel is on McKillop St. Prices were very affordable.

It certainly was busy so it must be OK . We are on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide and this is not our cheapest accommodation we are staying at. However it does need some TLC. It was comfortable enough and had enough equipment to have a supper but the walls are really thin. The bathroom is passable clean but again in need of modernisation . It's in a fairly good location , not close to town but easy walking distance. The photo of the pool is amazing but don't go there just for that . Otherwise for one night it might be ok.

Booking was easy, staff were amazing, great location, easy onsite parking. Room was great, listed as disabled friendly but accessibility into the room is not that easy for wheelchair chair, room itself was great especially the bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Looking forward to staying again.

This place is great, for the price and location. I dont think you can do better. For an overnight stay or 2, this is all you need. Is this place a little dated... Yes But is it clean, quiet...Also Yes. I would recommend this place and also stay again myself.

The room is great. There are plenty of pillows. The bed is a little bit hard. I had some difficulty chasing up my access to the after-hours key safe. I had to arrive after 6pm, the closing time of their reception. I had to call twice code to get the access code for the key safe.

Despite a makeover with nice features, our shower cold tap and exhaust fan need attention. The fridge was set to maximum so everything froze. The fire and ambulance stations may interrupt your peace and tranquillity.

Visited Geelong for a wedding. Very good place to stay. Clean rooms, lovely bed linen and towels. TV, Wifi, microwave and not noisy fridge. Small swimming pool. Excellent front of house and cleaning staff. Breakfast room and restaurant available on site. Close to city and football ground. Excellent value.

Friendly staff and nothing was a problem. Room was neat clean and tidy. Absolutely no complaints here.

Room was good, towels were replaced even though we hung up our once used ones. We had no interaction with staff but the location was good for the purpose of our visit. Parking is a bit of issue as we ended up parking on the street the first night.

Perfect for our overnight stay. Clean and tidy. Car parks are a bit on the small side but I found that issue all over Geelong. Reception were lovely, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Do not recommend staying here. The grouting on the bottom of the bathroom door is visibly mouldy and there is no soap holder in bathroom cubicle and no soap or shampoos were supplied. Bed was comfortable.

I've stayed at the Admiralty Inn several times when I've gone to Geelong and it has been absolutely magnificent. It's very central to shopping areas and only a short drive to places like Queenscliff, Ocean Grove and Point Lonsdale. The staff were very nice and friendly and very welcoming. Wish I could give more than 5 stars

Convenient area. Good value for money. However beware that reception may close earlier than stated. Was there at 6.30pm and there was a “out for 30mins sign” put out. Came back at 7.30pm after getting dinner and the reception was closed already (weekday official closing timing should be 8pm). Had to call (thankfully I got a travel SIM card that can call AUS numbers) the number on the reception room door to get my room card.

Stopped here the night before a daytime Spirit of Tasmania sailing. Good bed, lots of hot water, and a young man on reception who was very helpful with getting us parked and our bags upstairs. My wife has limited mobility, and I don't move quite as quickly as I used to.

Quite comfortable rooms for a budget motel.Great location, 10 minute walk to city centre. Unfortunately I didn't find the reception staff to be very friendly, if you asked them a question it was as though you were being a nuisance.

Budget priced, convenient central location with 10 minute walk to Geelong cbd, kardinia park, and start of Bellarine rail trail. Had upstairs room facing road was little noisy although I slept great with good bed, pillows and clean bathroom with lux shower head. Free FOXTEL on tv.

Good spot for a quick stay. Get in get out kinda situation. Rooms clean enough. Tv remote did not work. Another guest smoked a cigarette on the balcony/walkway and our entire room was filled with the smell of cigarette smoke.

I stayed here for 5 nights in the week before Easter. This is a great place to stay if you are in Geelong. The location is well suited as you are within a 10min walk to the waterfront, restaurants, cafes, shopping centres and Geelong University Hospital. The accommodation was clean, roomy and well maintained with a comfortable queen bed, fridge, microwave, tea & coffee facilities. There is also a pool, restaurant and free parking on site. All of the staff (front desk and cleaning staff) were friendly and approachable. When I had to unexpectedly extend my stay, they were able to work their magic and squeeze me - especially as it was school holidays & Easter approaching). I will be happy to stay here again when I am next in Geelong. Thanks again to you all - cheers and stay safe, Antony.

The room we stayed in was dated. But the potential is fantastic. It was clean and quiet. I would stay there again but please, please, heat the pool! Some solar mat on the roof is cheap. It had a few leaves in it and was freezing. The people running the place are terrific.

We stayed at admiralty inn for three nights. On arrival the office staff were very accommodating as we are unable to ascend stairs and changed us to a ground floor room. The room was spotlessly clean tho in need of some minor upgrade. Bed very comfortable with an array of different pillows, the cleaning staff were fantastic and friendly. We ate at the on site restaurant, the food was amazing as were the staff 5⭐️ For them. The only criticism we have is the distance from the town centre and the beachfront, we thought it was closer but you do need to drive, you could walk down but coming back could be an issue

Rooms were not the best but location was awesome. Bus stops close to hotel making it easy to access South Geelong station. Service was great with kind staff.

Very nice stay, clean and quiet rooms. Only reason it wasn’t 5star was for the mattress. Time for an upgrade I think! Incredible lovely and friendly staff.

Was clean enough. Surprised with the low traffic noise,so that was good. We stayed for two nights, and I asked the manager and a cleaner if we could have clean bathroom linen, but they didn’t bother to do our room at all,so after getting in late,to find no clean towels and rubbish not taken out,I was not happy . Manager did go and get fresh towels. Also, the guest laundry has no working lights,so I told the manager, and he knew lights were not working,so I had to do my laundry by phone torch light ! Not safe, and I was not happy with lack of lighting. It was a reasonable price( $134 a night) ,but I’m not sure if I will come back.

The room was reasonably clean, a small amount of dust in high places, the bar fridge was too small and located in the cupboard below the microwave, which didn't allow it to cool properly. Other than that we were happy with our accommodation.

Clean seriously i mean clean. Quiet . Those like many other inns, there was supplies of coffee n tea, what stood out was the freshness in the room. Shower pressure was good n consistently hot. Manager was very friendly n helpful eventhough he was very busy. Best i have ever stayed. I recommend this inn n will come back if we do come to geelong again.

This motel meet my expectations, much cleaner than other motels. Perfect location, walking distance city centre and beach. Can be a bit of noise from Trafic. Happy to come and stay again.

Still here and wow, clean, comfortable, pool, guest laundry, big carpark, shower is the best, friendly staff and I mean all of them. Close to town, and if you want food, try out Family Pho. There is a restaurant on-site that is closed tonight so cannot comment on that.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy, when we requested services it was promptly delivered. The location is great only a short walk to the city centre and to the foreshore. It was quiet and we have booked for another stay.

Our overnight stay gave us quiet comfort in a spotless renovated room. We enjoyed dinner at the Empire, and breakfast the following morning, pleasantly and perfectly served by Chris, was a great start to our day.

Very clean rooms. Lovely place to stay when we go to footy. GM, James, was most friendly and helpful. Nicely appointed. Thank you.

Yes, in reply to your reply to my bad review, first the receptionist as you called him was the owner, who again I reiterate was rude and totally stressed, the reason I know he was the owner is because he told me that he was and he would run the place as he wants, I never considered the pens for free just took one the only one it by mistake, I have plenty of pens at my disposal, the charger I asked for and got me one out of a container with a couple of dozen of chargers that previous guests had left behind. The breakfast room was closed for the 3days of our stay, the pool was green and foxtel did not exist in my room. He the receptionist literary told I was lying when I told him that I had not had my receipt emailed to me and a argument ensued and finally I got my receipt, strange fellow. So there was no confusion, not to mention he rang me 14 times when I was driving home with my wife

Great staff. Incredibly welcoming and helpful. Great position. Clean rooms. The best beds. Additional benefit if needed is the closeness to the train to Melbourne. Our choice when staying in central Geelong. Thank you for making the stay so easy for us.

Stayed here for, 10 nights. The worst hotel ever. I am shocked that they haven't closed this motel down. It is very dirty. The house keeping is never done properly. The couch has marks all over it. The bathroom toilet leaks, the curtains are filthy, the freezer is full of ice, there is no change of sheets after being here for 6 days. Would not recommend 😡

  • 1/5 Elliot R. 1 year ago on Google
Refused to answer any questions about the room, told me he jacked the price up because of short notice and wouldn't honour advertised price and told me unless I booked it with no info about what kind of room it was he was going to hang up. So much for hospitality. Outstandingly poor service.

Highly recommended for a stay over. An over all Great place to stay. Rooms were spotless and modern. Beds were comfortable. Fantastic location, walking distance to everything. The Breakfast was fresh and plentyful. The friendly staff will make sure you have a warm welcome and pleasant stay. Will definitely stay again at the Admiralty Inn. Thank you
