😠 Took my daughter as she had fever and was coughing. Receptionist needs to learn some manners as this is Australia, not a third world country. She first asked for a negative covid test, we told her that she has been tested negative but she wasn’t helping. Luckily we had rapid antigen test in the car... People often mention time, appointment, doctor, clinic, patients, call, wait, doctors, patient, waiting,

Took my daughter as she had fever and was coughing. Receptionist needs to learn some manners as this is Australia, not a third world country. She first asked for a negative covid test, we told her that she has been tested negative but she wasn’t helping. Luckily we had rapid antigen test in the car so we did that and provided her the results. When we asked about the waiting time that receptionist started to misbehave and said take her somewhere else. Pathetic staff, i read reviews after this happened and most of the people have same issues. Why are they even allowed to operate.

Alpha Medical Clinic recently moved to a mixed billing model, which eliminates bulk billing for standard adult appointments. This is a wholly bad move for a clinic which provides servicethat barely meets the standard for a bulk-billing practice. I have a regular doctor whom I see, who is not bulk billed and who will listen and consult with me like an adult for any significant or ongoing health issues I have. I am seen on time, asked whether I have any other concerns, and am consulted rather than spoken at regarding my health and wellbeing. I receive good value for money there. I will see other doctors for small, insignificant health issues (this was just a minor ear infection) for which I expect the minimum standard of treatment, since the appointments are bulk billed. Now that the appointments are not bulk billed, I can safely say that an hour wait time is completely unacceptable, and that the bare minimum standard of treatment that you would expect from a bulk-billing doctor falls far short of the expectations from a privately billed doctor. The practitioners couldn't give a single flip about you, don't listen to your concerns and don't trust that, having lived in your body for your entire life, you know when something is wrong. I had to convince the doctor to receive medication so I wouldn't have to book another appointment in a few days when the infection predictably didn't go away. I won't be going again. I recommend you don't, either. I can recommend privately-billed doctors, but find a good one. Don't pay for service you don't receive.

Why would you chose a profession which you don’t like ? Only for money ? Medical is a profession where you need to be kind , caring, polite and respectful toward all of your patients. Dr Mehrdad Eshraghi is beyond rude , unprofessional and with sick mentality. He lacks common sense . Please resign and drive Ubereats!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I have been attending this clinic for a few years now and do not know how I have lasted this long. The receptionists are unprofessional, unapologetic and unhelpful. They will hang up on you, ignore you in person and seemingly overbook as the quickest I have been seen for a 'scheduled' appointment is 40 minutes. The longest? 2 hours... on multiple occasions. Whilst the doctors are in fact lovely people, I have been given the wrong medication, had serious health concerns overlooked and most recently - been told to come in for results and after waiting over an hour, been told the results are not in (twice in a row!) It is disappointing to say the least and I will not be returning again.

The worst medical centre I have ever been to. I got some tests done and after 4 business days hadn't heard back (I knew I had something wrong as I was in a lot of pain). I tried calling to find out if my results were back and I called 6 times throughout the day. Each time I got cut off after about 20 minutes and I left messages - received no call back. Decided to just book in appointment with the doctor to find out what's going on. Went in and saw her and she said that my results had been back for a couple od days and they were marked urgent. This doctor also seemed very unsure about the treatment to provide me which made me very unsettled. I have been in there twice now and both times I have witnessed an argument going on between a patient and the reception staff. Makes a lot of sense as to why they are the only doctors in the area with availability on short notice. I don't think many people go here. I would never go back here.

Absolutely disgusted in this place. Made an appointment at 1300 on Tuesday the 21st of June with Dr Rashika, as always she is late with her appointments I gave her a grace period of 30 minutes as I was on my lunch break she calls me at 1350, I call her back almost instantly as I was with a patient myself when she rang and I could not answer myself, no answer. Rang the clinic every day since, to try and get her to call me again dealt with two very rude receptionist who just had no care in the bloody world about what I have to say and then expect me do their jobs daily and keep calling the doctor to see if she is in as they can't tell me when she is working or not. Absolutely disgusted by their treatment of patients at this clinic will definitely be looking for a new family doctor. If anyone is interested in coming to this place I suggest you not to and to find somewhere else where patient care is their number one priority because it sure as hell isn't this place

This clinic has a very absurd appointment system: they take patients by arrival time, not appointment time. I arrived at the front door at the same time as an older woman. She had a walker, so I let her go in first. I heard her tell the receptionist that she had an appointment with Dr. Mary at 8:15. Then, I checked in for my appointment with Dr. Mary at 8:00. Dr. Mary came out at 8:05 and called the older woman first! I calmly told Dr. Mary that my appointment was earlier than hers. The old woman grumbled but Dr. Mary accepted me in and pointed to the computer to prove that the older woman arrived first so she should have been seen before me. (!!) I have a friend who is a GP and she confirms that patients are seen by appointment time at her clinic. If a patient has time on their hands and wants to arrive early, that's their affair, don't punish other people for arriving on time. Secondly, because it's bulk billing, Doctors don't take the time to ask basic questions and they make rash and uninformed decisions based on too little information. I have moved on to private health care where GPs know what they are doing.

My wife had a GP appointment scheduled for 12:10 pm last Friday, and we were utterly disappointed by the experience. Despite having an appointment, we waited patiently until 1:30 pm to be called. This unacceptable delay caused significant inconvenience, as I had to leave in order to return to work. It’s disheartening that even with a pre-booked slot, the wait was prolonged to this extent. The system seems to require patients to set aside an entire day just for a brief 10-minute appointment. This situation highlights a glaring lack of respect for patients’ time and commitments. It’s my sincere hope that the clinic reevaluates its scheduling and operational procedures to ensure that patients are not left waiting for such extensive periods. Time is a valuable resource for everyone, and it’s crucial that medical facilities recognise and respect that fact.

Dr Indira Gandhi Kuhanandha is the nastiest GP I have ever met. I visited her on the 30/10/22 to have a mental health care plan made. I was aware that as she is not my regular GP and does not have records of my medical history, there is a chance that it won't be possible (which I mentioned to Dr Indira at the start of the consult). Dr Indira was preemptively hostile and aggressive towards me before I even walked into the consulting room, as apparently I had asked the receptionist how long it'll be and apparently I told them I needed to be out of the appointment by 12 pm (which I never said, I just asked what the wait time would be like). She was telling me that she doesn't have the time to do a care plan(which again is completely fine) however she then pulled out a K10 form and threw a pen at me. I told the GP she is unprofessional and unfortunately ran out of the clinic in tears. I didn't receive as much as a follow up call which was the least of my expectations. I am absolutely appalled with Dr Indira and these reviews speak for itself. I am even more appalled to know that the consult was billed for through Medicare.

Been going to this place for the last 10years and never once have they got me into my booking for once on time. No matter having a booking or being a walk-in I’ve always had to wait for over 1hr or two. Some of the receptionist are inconsiderate of kids giving appointments at 10pm only to wait to be seen after 11pm. It is absolutely ridiculous, after waiting hours, doctors rush my appointment where I don’t get to cover everything always forget something. I see another doctor in Doncaster and is always seen on my appointment booking time and seen thoroughly. This place really needs massive changes to their system, to be running on time with or close to the booking time. Doctors needs to take their patients seriously as well as their time.

Never again. Receptionist was wonderful, Dr was terrible. Made to wait over 3 hours for a Telehealth Appointmet call. Apparently without knowing my condition, the wonderful doctor decided to priorities everyone else over me. I had to call 3 time to get updates as each ETA was surpassed by 30 minutes Useless.

Amazing service! I came in for a blood test and was welcomed by a lovely young lady named Mal working at the reception desk. After a short wait, I was then greeted by a nurse named Christina, who was very kind and gentle, which was appreciated given my fear of needles! Absolutely recommend this clinic, will certainly be going here in the future!

This is the most disgusting clinic I have ever been to. I only booked with them because my own GP didn't have anytime available and no wonder they had plenty of slots! Just awful manner from the GP who was not only unkind and insensitive but lacked knowledge (she did not know the name of a very very generic prescription.) Please don't go there.. the place is so dirty too. Ps: The Dr's name was Indra G. I was so upset when I wrote this that I forgot to mention that she accused me of asking for my prescription (repeat) to give to someone else! The prescription was the lowest dose serataline or Zoloft (she didn't know they were the same) which I have no idea how anyone could use for any illegal purpose. I could go on and on about everything else wrong with the appointment I had with her but I will suffice in saying she doesn't have the basic competence or the manner of a decent doctor. I have seen so many doctors in my life and some were grumpy, annoying or a tad rude but NEVER had I experienced THIS.

Met with Dr Indra. The worst experience ever. She kept talking over me and wouldn’t listen to my symptoms. She mentioned that I must be desperate for a doctor given my age that I have not been to their clinic. I have an existing patient record and haven’t been to the doctors in 3 years. I was appalled by the way she spoke. She said there weren’t a lot of doctors around as they were down with virus and couldn’t explain anything wrong with me. She was downright rude in the way she spoke- dismissing me. Wasn’t clear with her instructions and didn’t even provide me details on medications. For antibiotics -she said take it for 3 days or until symptoms disappear. Umm- I am no doc but aren’t antibiotics a course. I suddenly recalled why I stopped going to their clinic. I couldn’t believe that doctors spoke to their sick patients in that manner. Just shocking. Also, if you make an appointment, you will not be seen at that time. Give yourself 45min waiting time.

Doctors are good but the staff definitely don’t know how to do their job. Manager is not available to hear your complaint as well. After 3 attempts finally Made a booking but when I called for my phone consultation the booking wasn’t in the system, was told they gonna get back to me shortly. waited for another two hours and and no one called me back. Called again to speak to the manager to see what is wrong with this clinic, was told he/she is not available. And all this is I just wanted to get a copy of my MRI report. Would defiantly file a complaint against this clinic.

I Had an appointment around 7:30pm on Tuesday evening and still wait there 2 hours. Most painful was as they knew I had little one with me and still ignored as I had appointment as well for 7:30pm Doctor stories said she don’t know I am waiting outside and the Receptionist made stories you are the second patient to see the doctor and while my turn came doctor already see around 4- 5 patients. Seriously this place was so good with appointments but now seems to be a joke and the attitude of there staff is so great. Good job alpha clinic 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

disorganised clinic, the staff do not take your call, why? because the management decided to continue be short-staffed. I booked three online appointments in different dates and the DR did not bother call me and charge medicare. Good location & convenient to me, but management is zero!

I tried calling couple of times to cancel my appointment and they never answered all the time it went to voicemail and then after few hours a manager called and spoke to me rudely saying next time if I don’t come to the appointment they going to charge me in a very rude way . Even after I explained to him that I tried to call you guys few times no one answered he was very rude telling me that I should come to my appointment because the doctor has a high demand . You need to teach your staff to speak to patients politely there will always be last minute cancellation even after I tried to do the correct thing. Not having enough staff to answer phone calls is not the patient’s fault. Been a customer of Alpha always patiently waiting for the appointment which are never ontime ,I think while you have a poster stating not to be rude to medical staff you should also teach your management and reception people to talk kindly to patients.

All I can say is that this practice or at least the doctor I had was incompetent. Not happy with my experience with this doctor at all. Dr Mary was my doctor, I told her my symptoms and she asked when my last period was. I said 6 months, I'm also on the bar which seems normal enough to me. I told her this as well. She then proceeded to ask if I could be pregnant. I'm a small, thin girl, there's no way that I was 6 months pregnant! When I said there's no way I could be she then asked me again when my last period was like I hadn't just told her 5 seconds ago! I then told her that some symptoms I was experiencing "down there" started after my first vax and got worse after my second. She ignored the fact that I mentioned the vax and straight up told me to take an STD test. I had to do the swabbing process myself which I've never done before. I thought that was the doctors job but anyway it didn't really bother me that much I was just nervous that I would do it wrong. I then booked a phone appointment for my results at 11:10am today and hadn't gotten a call from her for 2 hours so I called reception. They told me she's running behind and I'm second on her list. Though I will say the receptionist did seem quite sympathetic and polite so my one star is for her.

Excessive waiting time, and it’s not customer centric. Even for the service like sample tests that we paid they don’t send us the reports directly to our email. We should consult a doctor again to review the reports thus charge us a consultation fee again. No free follow up consultation with a certain time period if want to come back again. On top of that, receptionists are not well trained how to engage with their patients/ loyal customers. Need total improvement overall to serve better quality medical services from them.

WORST EXPERIENCE!! Had a phone appointment booked at 4pm; didn’t receive a call so I called at 4.45pm and was advised the doctor does not call patients until the patients in the clinic have been seen and that won’t receive a call until after 5.30pm; the receptionist who was extremely rude changed the story and stated that the doctor is running late and that’s why there’s a delay. They lie and make up stories to make it suit whatever they want. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE

I had booked a tele appointment with a doctor on 11 Aug at 12.10 pm. I then received a message stating that the scheduled doctor had not turned up for work and that another doctor would give me a call. No calls or msgs received till 6.13 pm. During which time I had called reception 2 times, during which they assured me that the doctor would call me back within the next half hour - which never happened. The biggest jokes is at 6.13 pm I get another message saying the replacement doctor had to leave early and to give them a call to reschedule the appointment to next Monday. Absolutely the worst experience that I had to go through with a sick child.

My children and I have been regular patients of Dr Shanaka for many years. She makes a fantastic effort to engage and bond with each and every one of us. We all feel very comfortable with her and she is always our preferred Dr. She goes the extra mile and will take the time to address all issues and write specialist referrals if required. There are many other very good Drs at this clinic and the nursing team are amazing. Especially Christina, who always makes an extra effort to ensure patient comfort and confidence at every visit. The only thing I have noticed, is when I try to book online for a result only appointment, I can never find that listed as an option.

Wait times are always too long. Even though there is an appointment scheduled, still long time. Pathetic service. Please value everyone’s time. Today I had an appointment scheduled at 2:00, and reached there few minutes earlier as always I do. The reception said Dr, Rasika is running behind with appointments, when I asked what’s the waiting time , the lady said minimum an hour! She said at 2:00pm Dr Rasika was still seeing 12:30 patients. And I can imagine how long will I have to wait. Glad I did not stay back. The only reason why I’ve been seeing Dr. Rasika since last few years is she is good doctor, but that doesn’t mean she can let her patients wait more than an hour with Scheduled appointments. Every time I go minimum 30-50 minutes is the wait time. and I have never said anything. But this time, it’s unacceptable. As the day goes by waiting times are getting longer. Even though after many reviews on wait times, still the service hasn’t taken any initiatives to improve on this. Patients time is never valued at this clinic. I will never go back here again. I had enough of wait times.

I had an appointment booked 2 weeks in advance. My daughter ended up getting sick and was chucking up. So I went in to swap my appointment for her because she needed it more. Reception staff told me to go hospital even though I had an appointment. Clearly had gastro!! Hospitals are over run as it is!!!! She is only 2 years old and couldn’t wait at a hospital for hours. They only hire their own race which is disappointing this day and age.

One of the best medical centre in the northern melbourne. Friendly staff, nice environment. Certain medical practitioners might require longer waiting times, just give a call and make sure you’re appointment is right in time.

Waited for 30 minutes, Dr asked for date of birth, she said the nurse should have fill it out. So she took us out and asked nurse to fill out date of birth (I don't know why she couldn't do it herself, It doesn't take 1 minute to type DOB) I thought there was more to fill out but there was none, that was so unprofessional. So she took the next patient and we have to wait again. NO we are never coming back there.

Not my everyday doctors surgery. The doctor I saw made it pretty clear that I’m not really welcome there even though I’ve been plenty of times in past years. It’s not easy to get an appoint these days and I explained that but she just continued to shut me down in a semi rude manner. Also waited over 30mins after appointment time, considering they want to charge you a no show fee then you would expect them to keep to a schedule.

Having been a loyal patient for many years, I had the unfortunate dealing with Dr Indra Gandhi Kuhanandha. If your are interested in being yelled at, accused for taking care and interest of your health not to mention being "labelled" whilst in consultation then this is your Dr. I won't ever see her again. Drs like her shouldn't be allowed to practice. If you don't like to help patients medically maybe consider a different career choice!

These Drs do not listen to patients wait times are ridiculous, then want to see patients for a few minutes. seem to care only about injections related to covid, anything else seems non important. Don’t waste your time going to these Drs. These Drs don’t know how to diagnose nor give adequate medications, pointless giving people in chronic pain small doses that don’t help paiin. My daughter has just attendended clinic waited over an hour saw a Dr for 3 minutes suffering with extreme earache swollen glands red inflamed tonsils and throat a cough and headache was told there’s nothing wrong then given antibiotics. Spent $20 on an Uber to get there and home is now crying due to the lack of care. This place disgusts me,

very disappointed... I've been going to this clinic for the past 5 years (at least), as have my entire family. We used to encounter really rude service at reception with the woman who used to work here. Luckily she is no longer there and the reception staff are now all friendly. However, ever since we started going here (basically since it was built) they have always had an issue with time management. Everyone knows that medical clinics are generally notorious for wait times, but Alpha turns it into something of a sport. Even today, I had a phone appointment - it was booked in for 3:50PM. It is now 7:15PM. So in total, I have now been waiting by my phone for 3 hours and 25 mins. I expect this to continue all night and I will give up in an hour or so and stop "standing by". If I miss it, I miss it. I have phoned reception twice in that time, and while they are lovely, they keep saying " you will get a call soon ". There is no sense of timeframe, and while the hold music when you call clearly states "we value your time" or "your time is important to us", I don't believe this is true. At least, not in my experience (or my family's experience, we each experience this same issue). I am just referencing today's situation, but every single time I book an appointment it is late by at minimum 1 hour, often 2 or 3 hours. On one occasion it was 5-6 hours of waiting. I don't think this is acceptable. I will actually be changing GPs as of tomorrow. It's really sad actually because the GPs are so friendly and supportive. I just wish the time management was addressed. You shouldn't need to wait more than 1 hour if you have an appointment booked in.

Unfortunatly this review is not for the doctors. The doctors have always been very helpful and lovely. This 1 star review is for the rude horrible reception staff who argued over the phone about a conformation message. I said yes to the message and recieved a conformation text however, I missed a call from the reception at 8am to confirm the appointment which i missed and then they removed my name from the llist. ( my actual appointment wasnt untill 11 am) They hung up on me and were very rude! I have been coming to this clinic since Dr Kingsley was there and he would hate to see that this place is being run by those girls get rid of them!

I have been a patient with Alpha Medical for 6 yrs + aswell as my Family. I have a regular DR by the name of Dr Rasika that we see and if she is unavailable we see who ever has availability at the time . I give them 5 stars because everytime we need to attend the clinic, they are more than welcoming, they genuinely care understand, and are kind and caring always supporting us in anyway ,the Medical Manager and Nurses also go above and beyond with our Medical issues or needs . I'm so glad to have found a regular Dr / Clinic in a great and convenient location who are very accessible and take mine and my family's health seriously. Keep it up Alpha Xx

Had an excellent experience with this clinic. Everyone working here takes good care of their patients which includes the doctors, nurses and the reception staff. Will surely recommend this clinic:)

Dr. Indra Kuhanandha is great both with kids and adults. She is always very thorough and build personal relationships with her patients. I’m giving only 4 stars not for Dr Indra, which should get 6, but for the centre. The centre per se tends to always overbook, which leads to waiting times even higher than an hour after the appointment time.

Some of the doctors are ok, but the organisation is just terrible. I went there a few weeks ago for an 11am appointment. I sat there for 40 mins before the receptionist called me up and said the doctor isn’t here yet and isn’t arriving for another hour so I’ll have to keep waiting. Why was the doctor starting work over an hour an a half AFTER her first booking?? And why did I have to wait 40 mins to be told? Ridiculous. And they say they open at 8. I was here at 8:10, It’s now 8:40, the place is closed (despite having an Open sign on the window), with a few other patients in the carpark but no doctors or admin in sight. It’s a seriously unprofessional practice

Excellent customer service. Receptionist and nurses are very kind and professional. Highly appreciate their service to the community. Further, me and my husband consult Dr. Rasika who is one of the best doctors in the medical center. She is kind, patient and well understanding of what patients struggle with.

This is the WORST medical centre with the worst receptionists ever. They’ve advised all of a sudden that they can’t phone for a Telehealth appointment because I haven’t been in person over the past 12 months. Yes hello, we’ve been in a PANDEMIC. It should be my personal choice - they do not mention anywhere on their online booking system that you are only eligible if you’ve not been seen in person in the last 12 months. What a joke. The receptionists are ALWAYS nasty and obnoxious. This is what happens when management are constantly away and never supervising. I don’t even know if there is a manager overseeing things here. I didn’t receive any phone call yesterday for my appt. crazy. Never coming back. I would never recommend this place.

We highly recommend this clinic to families or anyone, as we experienced really good service at the clinic . We always go to Dr Shanaka and she is an excellent doctor. She is very kind and provides the best care for you. There are many more good doctors out there. The best thing is it's totally bulk billed and no gap fee . You can book your favourite doctor online .

Don't bother making an appointment here and be prepared with a coffee in a flask, to wait at least two or three hours before being called. This issue has been happening for many many years and all the patients make complain about extreme long delays.

I wish there was an option to give it zero stars. Waited for 45 minutes to see a doctor in the middle of a working day despite having an appointment. The entire time I waited the doctor didn’t see a single patient and was instead busy talking to another person working at the clinic. It’s not the first time it’s happened.

I recently visited Alpha Medical Clinic and was pleased with the overall experience. The clinic's efficiency stood out, as I didn't have to wait long before being attended to. During the consultation, the doctor patiently listened to my concerns and answered all my questions.

All the staff including the receptionists working at the clinic is so friendly and supportive. It’s very easy to book an appointment with a doctor and they are enthusiastically examining the patient for the best treatment possible. Every test is done so fast and the doctors keep in touch until the patient is fully recovered. Must wanted to give 5 stars rating.
