Unfortunately
the
Peter
Hopper
Lake
is
not
what
it
used
to
be
owing
to
neglect
b
Council
.Also
although
bins
around
same
are
emptied
council
workers
don't
seem
to
pick
up
rubbish
around
lake
nor
do
they
pick
up
rotting
carcasses
as
they
used
too.
Shame
as
this
lake
is
part
of
our
heritage
of
Mill
Park.
WE
DONT
HAVE
ANY
DUCKS
ANY
MORE
AND
THE
CHILDREN
MISS
THEM.
I
do
hope
the
council
will
soon
sort
this
problem
out.
UPDATE
ON
PETER
HOPPER.
LAKE.
JULY
2022.
Council
still
failing
us
on
fixing
up
the
Lake.
Although
it
looks
healthy,
it
is
not,
apparently
the
algea
that
was
covering
the
Lake,
drops
to
to
bottom
leaving
the
birds
and
water
animals
unable
to
feed
from
it
because
of
the
toxitity
so
they
are
having
trouble
finding
food.
NO
excuse
for
this
as
Council
have
been
promised
BY
LABOR
GOV
2
MILLION
DOLLARS
TOWARDS
FIXING
THE
LAKE.
It,s
a
lovely
lake
but
owing
to
neglect
over
last
2-3
years
needs
a
lot
of
work.
PLEASE
DO
NOT
LET
YOUR
CHILDREN
OR
DOGS
PADDLE
IN
THE
WATER
AS
IT
IS
NOT
SAFE.
If
you
want
to
learn
more
about
the
lake
go
to
FACEBOOK
,
"Friends
of
Peter
Hopper
Lake"
Lots
of
interesting
info
about
same.
