Great green zone for anyone lives in Erbil. Beside green parks it has small body lakes, small markets that services snacks and fresh French fries and boiled sweet corns. The park also has running tracks, climbing wall, library, many children playground zone, most outdoor sport's courts like football, basketball, volleyball and tennis court. Also, has good decent priced workout gym with swimming pool which has indoor and outdoor pool. Great place for everyone, totally recommend it to visit at least once a week.

Now the largest green area in Erbil, Sami Abdul-Rahman Park was built on the site of one Saddam Hussein infamous detention centers. Today the peaceful oasis covers several hectares and contains a lake, rose garden, running track, climbing wall, restaurant, as well as the city’s Martyrs Memorial. It is also home to the Erbil International Fairground, Zaytun Public Library and several children’s playgrounds.

Kuridstans answer to El Retiro - massive sprawling well used park on the site of a former military base. Several entrances have snacks & coffee shops. Gates open around 6am & close well after dark.

Amazing for walking, jogging, and running. The weather is totally different inside the park because of the density grasses and trees. A perfect place for photography and good scenes. Also it is good for families and kids. Some times the park gets very crowded, however it doesn't feel bad as for the extreme area spaces designed inside.

In the middle of Erbil, you will find the large park. A great and beautiful place to walk or have a picnic and exercise. The town planning of Erbil did not leave much space for pedestrians, but surely a large green space was designed to forget the extremely hot summer times. Here you follow the season shift, smell the cherry trees and watch the lakes and fountains. It is free of charge. It is recommended for families.

This park is the biggest park in Erbil. Located near the city center. It has many landscapes and natural views. It has jogging field, horse field and two lakes where you sit and relax or enjoy boat riding. You may also rent gulf car to drive around the park. Only one thing is to look after the toilets and also rent a bicyle is now not avialable, which I was so sad to find tgis out.

One of the best parks -if not the best- in the region. It’s well taken care of, relatively clean compared with other places. There are good cafes at the entrance and many tea/coffee shops inside. Every corner has its own beauty.

The perfect place for picnics! The atmosphere is great and you can breathe some fresh air inside. A good place for a get-together day. It is spacious which offers plenty of calm places to spend your time. Variety of activities can be done there. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars because: 1- The restaurants are not well-distributed in the park. So you have to walk a lot to reach any rest if you get hungry. Bring your food so you’ll be on the safe side :) 2- It is dark at night when walking.

Have been visiting this park since it opened. Park Sami Abdulrahman has been through many changes and for better. Note: they don't allow personal bicycles in. The running area opens a little before sunrise, and there are plenty of people running. Suitable for all types of activities.

Lovely park for our city! We enjoyed a picnic, bit looks like it's a great place to walk or exercise. Parking seems to be difficult along the road, but you can pay for parking at Dawa 2 and they have a giant lot behind the restaurant.

I really liked the park it was really fun to walk around in it, and the lakes were just magnificent I really loved the park so much but I think it could use so work like adding more lights cuz it gets really dark at night and more signs to show where the exits are. Overall it was a nice experience and it definitely deserves 4 stars

If I could give none stars to this place I will. It doesn't deserve the time nor effort. Awful place. Horrible! Utterly disrespectful with childhood. The playground is in disgraceful condition (see pictures), the cafe besides it, it's more of a disco (unbearably loud music, so unhealthy for grownups imagine for kids) smells like waste water. Full of litter.

Great park for picnics, walking running skipping and different outdoor sports, also it's great for hanging out with friends or to spend a nice time with your couple. The coffee shop there serves a great coffee, I tried Qazwan Coffee and it was a quite tasty and lovely one.

😠 Pretty much only exists so newly weds can take pictures. They don't allow dogs or any type of playing. You must walk on the sidewalks or you'll be told to leave. It's not really a park because it's owned by Toyota in Erbil and it's pretty much their personal park.
