Nice room, no parking available which ended up costing me $75 for two nights and elsewhere, and the concierge staff are rude and give you dirty looks for no reason. Not impressed, will not be staying there again.

Blessed enough to be one of the first people to check in at this new Meriton. Location is perfect. There is a new room “Mini one bedroom” which is perfect if you’re staying alone and you want some me time. Stuff were very nice and accommodating. Shout out to Susie at front desk for being so nice and lovely. Parking is not available till next year but the friendly stuff help you with the nearest parking. Pool and Gym is still under construction but it doesn’t matter because you will still have a great time just being there. Already have my next stay booked Can’t wait

Title: Beautiful Views, But Customer Service and Policies Need Improvement Rating: ★★☆☆☆ I recently had an extended stay at Meriton Suites in Parramatta, booking a 1-bedroom apartment with high hopes for a comfortable and convenient experience. While there were some positive aspects, there were several issues that left me quite dissatisfied. Let's start with the positives. The 1-bedroom apartment I reserved was indeed spacious and featured a stunning balcony with breathtaking views overlooking the Parramatta River. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The location is also excellent, with a Metro supermarket conveniently located just downstairs. However, my experience took a sharp turn when it came to customer service and the hotel's policies. I had reserved my stay for a longer period of 29 nights, with the intention of finding a permanent place to stay during my time in Sydney. Fortunately, I found a suitable place within a week and decided to cancel the remaining portion of my stay. To my shock, I was informed that I would need to pay for at least 21 nights in order to get a refund for the rest of my stay. This policy felt deceptive and left a sour taste in my mouth. It's important for hotels to be transparent about their cancellation policies during the booking process to avoid any unpleasant surprises for guests. In addition to the policy issue, the room service was disappointing. Most of the time, there was no response when I reached out for service. When they did come for cleaning, it was a lackluster effort, with a rushed and superficial cleaning that left much to be desired. The major cleaning only occurred once a week, and even then, I had to request that it be done properly. The lack of attention to detail and responsiveness from the staff was frustrating. Furthermore, the ongoing construction work in the building was a constant source of disturbance. Guests should be warned about the early morning noise from drilling and hammering, which can disrupt your peace and quiet. In conclusion, Meriton Suites has a lot of potential due to its beautiful views and great location. However, there are significant improvements needed in their customer service, room service, and transparency in their cancellation policies. If you can tolerate these issues, you may find it a decent place to stay. Otherwise, you might want to explore other options in the area for a more comfortable and hassle-free experience.

Our stay at the meriton suites george street was one of the worst stays we've been in. I am a member of the meriton and have stayed at many others. 1. Limited carparking/pull up zones-hard with kids and luggage-not told by reception after 3 phone calls. 2. Called 3 times before to get early check in, room still wasn't ready on normal check in time. 3. Advertised pool and gym however they weren't even constructed 4. Advertised view of the river, nope had a view if scaffolding and construction work 5. Staff didn't advise of lift as we had to take 2 to get to our room. 6. Had to pay full normal price they gave back little $$ however not enough to cover parking fee, inconvenience as we were then late for our party that we had prepaid for. Very disappointed.

It was a disappointing stay. The building is new, but it seems like its not ready to stay. The gym and pool facilities are not ready. The parking lift is out of service. And the water pressure is low in the bathroom. The microwave was not working as well. Other than its location, that is walkable to Westfield. It was not a good stay.

No hot water or wifi tonight - a bummer after being on road for few days was really looking forward to warm shower. Staff too busy to answer phone for hours and not much they could do when I got through at 11pm. Otherwise, spacious apartment & well equipped

I got a lesson to avoid Meriton as much as possible with my little experience. I sent them a deposit in their office to purchase the unit and they didn't give me confirmation which I believe they had to give me right after I transferred. I called them next day, they told me the accountant in charge is on holiday and they can confirm it only after he comes back. They didn't even tell me how long it will take. I instantly asked the refund and canceled the purchase. When they heard I will cancel the purchase, they confirmed the money transfer in a minute. I still asked them to give me the money back and they told me it can take up to 2 weeks. Later, I've got an email from Meriton group for payee verification. I filled my personal information on their website as they wanted and at the next step, it asked me to put down my bank account ID and Password to link my bank to their system. Can you believe it? Australia doesn't have regulation for the password and most of companies have the password unencrypted. Moreover, once you give permission to the website for your bank, they can do whatever they want. I've never heard of this kind of stories. I am really glad I could get out of Meriton before I enter completely. I refused to put my bank ID & password and not sure if they will ever refund my deposit. Probably I will have to go though an legal process to get it back without giving my bank ID & password.

Staying at the Meriton George Street was an incredible experience, largely due to the exceptional service provided by employee Bryan. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. He was extremely knowledgeable about the hotel and the surrounding area, providing us with excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing. Bryan's friendly and attentive demeanor made us feel like valued guests, and we truly appreciated his efforts to make our stay as memorable as possible. Overall, we would highly recommend the Meriton George Street to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience, and we can't thank Bryan enough for his outstanding service. In saying this the lifts took ages, but Bryan was excellent in managing this issue.

This is a great place for a stay over. I booked a one bedroom suite which was spacious and great in every way. This place is under construction at the time of my stay. Hence no onsite parking or pool facilities. The reception is in the 4th floor. Lift access to the floors has one of the modern mechanisms. There are more than enough restaurants and grocery shops around. Great location. There’s another meriton suite in Church street too. However this is the newest one. The room I booked had a washing machine, dryer, oven, microwave, stove with all needed cutlery and pots and pans, a fridge, 2 TVs

Very clean and modern hotel. The rooms are fantastic and very spacious. The location is very good and the rooms offer a great view. The rates are reasonable (for what you get). Big tip: as there is very limited parking, you can find a Wilson’s just up the road for around $14 per night (next to the Albion Hotel)

The room was new and nice. The front desk staff was ok. Great location. There is no car park, no pool, spa pool, or fitness center. They're all under construction. The loud noises coming from the construction elevator starts from 7 am sharp. If you need a good sleep pass that, do not book this hotel. Overall, I will book other hotels nearby for the next stay.

Beautiful apartments. Very clean with all the modern appliances etc. the only issue was that the lifts are really really slow. But that’s only a minor thing. The staff were friendly and really easy to deal with.

cannot fault these suites. Clean rooms. second room on the smaller side. second bathroom abit on the smaller side too. Neither as spacious as main bedroom. Great to stay at though, very clean and new. Location was ideal. great morning views of the Sydney city skyline. Parking is a little annoying. We parked across the road however with the Sydney storms over the weekend, justified the $45.00 rate to park below building. I think parking should have been more ideal for the hotel. Otherwise and overall great. had no issues.

We want to give a huge thank you to Katelyn for making our stay's amazing. We have stayed twice at this location and she honestly is so wonderful every time. We have traveled and stayed all over the world and have never had such amazing service. The rooms are also beautifully done, clean, and having a kitchen and laundry is such a great plus! Comfortable beds and amazing balcony views! We have stayed in the one bedroom room and also the two bedroom. We will be back again!

Very good and clean rooms, I heard there was also a pool there. Sleeping there felt like a dream. Everything nicely placed and watching tv was awesome. I watched a movie at night and it was a good experience. The aircon and being comfy in bed totally made the best hotel night ever. In 1 night I felt like a billionaire even though it was at good price, not too expensive. Definitely book a hotel room there. The view of parramatta CBD felt like something I have never felt before.

Very pleasant stay. Parking easy to navigate, with number plate recognition. Close to ferry terminal, Parramatta River and eat street, lovely walk at night. Tends to be a bit of a party hotel with guests going to the stadium, so stay on the lower levels to avoid the bogans and beers (as a bonus, you won't have to wait for the lifts as long).

  • 2/5 charlotte f. 7 months ago on Google
Stay was mediocre. Bed was very uncomfortable, rooms not sound proofed, air con did not work. Location on a weekend is dead - there was one cafe open a few doors down but that was it! With the hotel not having any food options, this wasn’t great either. I understand this is more of a ‘self contained’ apartment space, but there wasn’t even a vending machine? Lifts were also incredibly slow - I waited 15 minutes for one. No option for stairs, either. Thing that made me feel very unsafe was that the customer service agent SHOUTED my room number to me at check in. I am a young solo female and the reception space had at least 30 people in it!!! I felt on edge the entire time I stayed from this - I don’t want total strangers knowing I am alone in a room?!

The only reason for my 2 star rating was the bedding. The mattress was like a rock and the pillows were completely the opposite. I ended up ringing housekeeping and they provided a mattress topper. I had to double it over itself and added a few layers of the blankets before it was more comfortable. At $400/night for our 2 bedroom apartment I would expect better. A good sleep should be the first priority for guests and that is close to impossible with the current mattresses and without a good sleep it is hard to enjoy your stay...

Had a great experience staying at Meriton George St. Been an eminence member with Meriton for the last 5 or so years and have stayed at over 7 of their properties in Australia. Customer service was so friendly but professional, we had Caitlin help us throughout our stay and also Peter who was so lovely making our experience one to remember! Beds comfy as ever. 4 stars as it was still being renovated and we couldn’t enjoy all the amenities but used the pool at the other Meriton down the road. Highly recommend! Esp once it’s fully completed the rooftop pool looks great!

We stayed here for 3 weeks in June. We received very warm welcome from Joseph and his team which have excellent customer-oriented mindset and attended to our requests timely and appropriately. This made us feel great staying here. We will be back in December and looking forward for another great stay. Well done Joseph and team!

Everything about this place is great, except that it isn't finished yet. The rooms are well appointed (kitchen area, lounge area, seperate bedroom and bathroom) and clean, service is great, views are nice. However note that when I stayed in November 2022, the car park was still under construction and the only options were a public car park 500 metres away or the street. The gym and pool also wasn't yet operational. This will be a great hotel when it's finally finished!

My stay at Meriton Suites George Street in Parramatta was nothing short of exceptional, offering a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and convenience. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a memorable experience. The suite itself was a haven of modern elegance. The spacious living area, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedroom created a true home away from home. The attention to detail in design and furnishings was evident, reflecting a commitment to providing a top-notch guest experience. The panoramic views from the suite were a definite highlight. Gazing out of the floor-to-ceiling windows, I was treated to stunning vistas of Parramatta's cityscape. The play of light and shadows during sunrise and sunset was a sight to behold, making each moment spent in the suite a tranquil and immersive experience. The amenities and facilities at Meriton Suites George Street were equally impressive. Situated in the heart of Parramatta, the suite offered easy access to a plethora of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Exploring the local scene was a breeze, and I was able to immerse myself in the vibrant culture of the area without having to travel far. The housekeeping service deserves special mention. Was on the 48th floor so the view was nice. Unfortunately the room next to us and floors above was under construction so we were always woken up early in the morning from all the loud sounds. During check out. The receptionist by the name of Vi helped checked us out. 30min after checking out I realized I had lost my earring so I called back to let her know about my situation and if it was ok if she could help take me upstairs to help find it. (she disallowed it and said that because I already checked out, I wasn’t allowed back in the room). She told me she would call back very soon and that the cleaners were about to clean the room so they would be able to help find it. I called back after an hour and stressed about how the earring was sentimental to me and that I was on the way back to the apartment so if she could please just help take me upstairs so I can have a quick look. Again she declined and said that she will call me back once the cleaners have cleaned up the place. 5min later her colleague called back and told me that Vi was in the room herself to look for it and that she couldn’t find it (it didn’t sit well with me as she didn’t sound like she cared at all in the beginning). Her colleague was nice enough though and agreed to let me come back and help take me into the room to look for it. Upon arriving, one of the elevators were out of order so we were stuck on ground floor for 10min waiting. I tried calling to let Jessica (her colleague) know that we was stuck on ground floor waiting for an elevator but to my surprise my call was picked up and hanged up straight away (I called multiple times and it happened every single time). Once I was finally allowed back into the room (thanks to Jessica) I went straight into my room and found my earring right on the floor. (I did say on the phone before where it could’ve been). The noisy mornings I can forgive, but the care factor Vi had shown me through this experience was horrible. I also cannot prove that she intentionally hung my calls up but I do know that they can see the number that is calling in and that she was working on the phone during that time of my calls. My family and myself won’t be coming back because of this.

I always stay here for work travel. Rooms are great location is great right on the river and close to all things in Parramatta. There is a new woolies metro nearly ready to open in the building which will make it better for those wanting to eat in. Restaurants around so no problem if wanting to eat out with a few nice restaurants in the building downstairs. Book early to get the best rate as its very popular

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Meriton Suites George St, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped foot into the lobby until the time I checked out, every aspect of my stay was absolutely delightful. First and foremost, the staff at Meriton Suites George St went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. They were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my entire stay. From providing recommendations for nearby attractions to promptly addressing any requests or concerns, their attentiveness truly exceeded my expectations. The suite itself was simply magnificent. Spacious, elegantly furnished, and impeccably clean, it felt like a home away from home. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the plush bedding to the fully equipped kitchenette. I particularly appreciated the stunning views of the city skyline that greeted me each morning and evening—truly breathtaking! The amenities at Meriton Suites George St were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-equipped with state-of-the-art machines and offered a great way to stay active during my stay. The indoor pool was a welcome oasis, providing a serene space to relax and unwind. I also took advantage of the complimentary Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable throughout the property. The location of the hotel is fantastic, situated right in the heart of the city. It was incredibly convenient to explore popular attractions, shop at nearby boutiques, and dine at excellent restaurants—all within walking distance. The accessibility to public transportation was an added bonus, making it easy to venture further if desired. I cannot praise Meriton Suites George St enough for the exceptional experience they provided. From the attentive staff to the luxurious accommodations, this hotel truly sets the bar high. Whether you're visiting Sydney for business or leisure, I highly recommend staying at Meriton Suites George St for an unforgettable and seamless stay. I look forward to returning in the future

Stayed here for 3 nights. As we were heading to the Accor stadium for the FIFA match, this was a decent location requiring just a 30mins bus ride. There were a variety of meal options from Vietnamese to Thai, and to Japanese. Room was also huge for the price paid. However, as we had checked in late, we did not get a high floor but the receptionist made it a point to give us a room away from the construction (but that means no river view). Parramatta seems to be developing and rejuvenating and I can’t wait for the hotel to be ready in full force!

My daughter and I travelled to Sydney for vacation and stayed at Meriton hotel parramatta for the days we were there. Not only was the location prefect, as it was near the local shopping centre and train station which allowed us to explore Sydney further . There were beautiful walks along the river bank near the hotel. The staff at Meriton especially Joseph were caring , friendly and even went out of their way to ensure all our needs were catered to , from the minute that we checked in till we checked out. We will definitely be coming back to stay.

Absolutely stunning room, building is still under construction so was unable to use all the facilities. Was advised we could use the other buildings' facilities if needed. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic service and great location. Room is very comfy and in new conditions. Everything looks nice and clean, the only downside is the parking. But overall five stars!

Seamless experience. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for one night. Checking in was a breeze, the rooms were immaculate, and for the price the views were far better than expected. The building was still under construction in the levels above so facilities like the pool and sauna weren’t available. There also wasn’t car parking available at the hotel but this is all understandable considering the circumstances. Great experience, can argue with much at all. Will be back.

Great location and although facilities were not completed yet, the staff were so lovely which compensated for lack of it. Very clean and quiet Waking distance to many major attraction like Parramatta square, easy access to public transport. The suites are large and do brand new

It’s a nice, new Meriton. On the plus side - everything in the room is shiny and clean, feeling like it has barely been used. On the minus side, there is no parking on site meaning you will need to find a parking station nearby.

Service at Meriton was very impressive. Joseph made an extra effort to get me an early check in and also offered late check-out. Joseph is very energetic and a great hospitality manager.
