Ok so I was skeptical... I have heard from a lot of people how good this pizza was and I was like "ok"... THEY WERE RIGHT! it is so delicious!!! The crust is like a deep dish and just tastes buttery and delicious! The cheese is mouthwatering ooey gooey... I can't say enough to great things about this pizza joint . Amazing!

The best place to get pizza in Bloomington. The pizza was great, the staff friendly, and the whole place just had a good vibe. The prices were really good for the portions and the drinks were comically massive. Will come back here again when I’m the area.

Good pizza, HORRENDOUS service. Dined in while visiting Bloomington on 10/07/21. They weren’t especially busy and we were seated right away. Fifteen minutes later, we still hadn’t been waited on. Had to ask the hostess if anyone was working our table. She found our waitress and we ordered food and drinks immediately. Waitress brought the drinks and no straws. After another 10 minutes without a waitress sighting, the hostess had to get us straws. An hour later, we still didn’t have our pizza, but tables that ordered 20 minutes after us were receiving their food. Finally asked the hostess about it since we hadn’t seen our waitress. The semi-warm pizza arrived immediately after that with an apology that the kitchen got slammed with orders. Funny that people that ordered pizza well after us got theirs in a timely manner. Sure hope the waitress gave our tip to the hostess that night since she’s the one who deserved it!

We were surprised to not have any wait time on a Saturday night but the 4hr drive to eat here was worthwhile! The pesto cheese sticks with chunky marinara sauce on the side was just amazing. Bread sticks just melted in the mouth. Marinara sauce had veggie chunks. Pan pizza with ghost pepper cheese and mozzarella topped with onion and basil was just perfect. Mozzarella reduced the spicy flavor of ghost peppers but was just cheesy enough to enjoy. Sesame seed thin crust pizza is available only till supply lasts but is a must try if available. The sesame flavor complements the home made pizza sauce. Ghost pepper cheese topped with jalapeños, onions and bell peppers gave the perfect spicy kick for a winter evening. The service was great and they patiently explained the items on menu.

Hands down some of the best pizza I've tried. It reminds me of an upgraded version of the crispy pan pizza Pizza Hut used to serve before they changed their recipe. We arrived one hour into closing and the pizza still arrived hot and fresh from the oven. The cheese pull was on point, the crust perfectly toasted, and the sauce just right. The portion sizes and quality matched the price. Service was great and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. 9/10 would recommend.

Decided to come and see whether or not this pizza lived up to the hype it gets throughout Bloomington. We got the lunch special combo which was one slice of their special and a soda on the side. I decided to go basic and get a cheese slice (sorry lol). The amount of cheese they put on it is insane! There’s always lots of crispy cheese hanging over the side of the pizza. The overall taste of the slice is pretty good though the sauce kind of left a weird aftertaste. But overall, our visit was alright! Our server was also super friendly.

Best pizza I have come across in Indiana! Their house made red sauce is the stuff dreams are made of, the pan crust with those caramelized cheese edges, the custom pizzas are so creative. I want to try so many things...the menu is huge!! Pizza, pasta, baked sandwiches, salads. We drive from Terre Haute JUST to eat here! Been going here for many, many years and the food has never once been a disappointment. Started going when I was. In high school and I'm fortunate enough to bring my own kiddo here...the "kiddo" is now 23!

Great spot, yummy pizza! Parking is a bit hard to come by so we assumed this place was packed but we’re sat right away in a mostly empty restaurant Saturday at dinner time. It was SO GOOD. I got the summer garden pizza. Crust was thick and crunchy on the ends which is just how I like it. They have build your own options for the more picky eaters. There were also wings and salads if pizza isn’t your jam. Really cool vibe inside with all the colored glasswork everywhere and eclectic art/customer graffiti all over the walls. We enjoyed it!

We were in town for the IU game and were told Mother Bears was a local favorite! We ordered the 'early bird special' which is a 10" or 14" pizza, breadsticks or cheese bread, and a 2-liter. My husband wanted 10 wings as well. (We still don't understand why it was almost $56!) The young lady who took our order was very kind and well informed. We ordered extra sauce on our pizza like always, BUT she didn't tell us that it's like a Detroit style pizza. They did forget our ranch for the wings, but I called them and they happily brought us some to our hotel. The pizza however, was so heavily sauced we couldn't taste anything else. We had to scrape off about 3/4 cup of sauce off the pizza. The cheese bread was good, but you only get about 6 little slices. The wings were very good and the ranch was amazing! I highly recommend it, but ask about price per item, and if they put sauce on the bottom or top. We ordered the deep dish and the pizza has the sauce on top.

Always so good! The dough has such great flavor and for it being a pan pizza it is so light and not greasy. The toppings stay on and you can tell they put care into everything they do. My waiter Chase was very nice and funny!

We went to mother bears pizza for the early bird special: order a 10"or 14" pizza between 4 and 6 and get two free drinks and free bread. Their cheesy bread is covered with a thick layer of mozzarella and is soft and hot. We got a 14" pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. The pizza was delicious, hot and soft. We went in during summer break so it wasn't busy at all and there was no wait for seating at 4:30 Friday. The service was good. I think they have best pizza in Bloomington.

We used to love Mother bears in grad school a decade ago. we took the kids today to visit and made sure to get a pizza so they could try it and it is just as good as we remembered! Best pizza ever.

There is a reason for all the hype. The pizza was flavorful, and the ingredients were clearly high quality. Quirky college vibes and genuinely nice waiters.

I'll start by saying I've lived in Bloomington my entire life and I order/eat pizza probably 3+ times a week. I love the variety in pizza places in town and definitely understand that each person has a slightly different preference in terms of their "perfect pizza". That's sort of how I've framed my opinion of Mother Bear's pizza for all these years -- that maybe it's not my favorite, but to many others it's #1 (including people in my family) -- so I've never written a review because I didn't want to be biased. That said, I feel like I keep giving Mother Bear's a shot and am continually disappointed. Ultimately, for me it's the quality of food (including portion size) combined with the service. I can't justify paying so much more for Mother Bear's food as compared to other pizza places for quality and service that is seemingly the same and, in some cases, less-than.

Such a good place to eat! We were there right at 11am and it was so quick. Spaghetti sauce was delicious and the pizza was so good!!

Love hitting this place up every time I'm in Bloomington. Service still hasn't dropped a beat since I first started dining here. Pizza is still great the second day right from the fridge.

In town for a campus tour and stopped here for dinner based on a Trip Advisor recommendation. We ordered two medium deep dish pizzas and they were phenomenal, best pizza I've had in years! We sampled some local beers on tap that were very tasty as well. Loved the ambiance of the place, would definitely come back again if ever in the area. Staff was very friendly and attentive!

This is the second bad review I have ever written for any business. As I am sure some businesses just have a bad day however this interactions seems worth mentioning. No big deal I ordered a pizza without sauce. I said it a couple of times during the order to make sure there would be no sauce while placing my phone order. Gave me a 30 minute wait time. It took about an hour. I picked up a pizza covered with sauce. I called them as soon as we were driving away to see about getting it replaced or a coupon. The manager was put on the phone. He told me he wasn't trying to start anything but he knew that there was no sauce on that pizza and he had cut it himself. He insinuated I was being dishonest. We literally turned around and took the pizza back right then and he hastily wrote me a coupon. He acted ticked off that I showed back up with the pizza. The demeanor was disrespectful as was insinuating I was dishonest. No apologies just bad manners. I don't think we'll be coming back to mother bears anytime soon.

Great local pizza in a college town. The service is very friendly and they work really hard to keep customers happy during busy nights. Lots of topping options and gourmet combinations. I recommend the Monet. Check out the sausage toppings. Parking is tough.

Amazing food as always! We got 3 personal pizzas and a Greek salad, which was amazinggg. Spirits available but we didn't get them this time. Service is ALWAYS so fast and friendly here. Atmosphere is very cozy and true to Hoosier spirit with the walls decorated in writing. A must-see if you're visiting Bloomington!

Great atmosphere and decor here. The pizza is also good. Their garlic bread is good as well. Not much to say about this place. It's a good place for pizza. More expensive compared to the chain restaurants and sometimes a long wait, but that's to be expected for a more local business.
