The food is fantastic. However, the people who work there are lacking in politeness. I used to visit this location daily as a doordash driver when I lived in Ohio as well as getting food for my own family. I've been living in N.C. for over a year, and the first thing I wanted to eat when I came home for a visit was Penn Station. I was more than satisfied with the food. Everything is delicious right down to the cookies. Before going in, I told the friend I brought with me on the trip how polite everyone was going to be. Bragging so to speak about my hometown people. I was embarrassed by how rude the employees were. We felt obligated to apologize for them having to serve us. Customers should never feel like they are bothering someone who should have no problem doing their job. Other than that, I was very pleased with my visit and glad I stopped in. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in the quality of the food.

Unfortunately, this was the worst quick service experience I've endured in Troy Ohio. Our fries were old and hard, the chicken on our sandwiches dry and tasteless. I think this is the first time I have ever throw away food from a restaurant before. But hey, the cookie was good. And quick sidenote, they weren't enforcing the mask mandate.

One of my favorite place to go for food in Troy. Super good food, decent service, the prices aren't the cheapest but the fries and subs are worth it. They also offer decent deals sometimes.

Stopped in during lunch time. They were very busy and they did an excellent job of moving people through the line. They did an even better job of getting the food to the customers quickly and efficiently. You could tell they were prepared for this, and they worked very well together! Kudos to the entire staff!!

The guy that took our order was such a sweetheart! He talked to us about the game and shared somethings a out our personal life. He made it that much more comforting and felt at home! Please guys go in and see him and food is always AMAZING!!!

The food was okay until I got halfway into my sandwich and found a hair stuck to the bacon. The workers seemed to wish they were anywhere else. Not kind but not necessarily mean either. A tad rude and standoffish if anything.

The sandwiches are still delicious, but the service always leaves something to be desired. It was busy so the food took a while, which I have no complaints with - but the order takers and staff in general are always very short and rude. Update: I'm pleased to say the service seems to be improving. There were two younger gentlemen behind the register tonight who were much more personable and friendly than any other employee I'd ever encountered at this location.

I ordered online as I usually do, then took my lunch break from work to go get it. It was quoted to be ready at 12:14pm. Kind of a long wait but that’s fine, if they’re busy I understand. I err on the side of caution and get there at 12:20 pm. It’s not ready. I wait and wait as numerous people came in and ordered and got their food, including fries. It’s now 12:30 and I’m about to be late getting back to work so I ask if I could just get a refund and the lady rudely says “will you let me finish it. I need to get your fries” like ma’am, 20 other people have gotten fries since then that came in and ordered after me. Almost seems quicker to just come in and order, as they seem to neglect online orders. And also, to make it worse-the food wasn’t even good today. Oh well, at least there’s a Jersey Mikes in town now.

Not impressed. Historically great service here, however this time we recieved 1 of 4 ordered fries and an incorrect sandwich. Employees also took time to stop working and fill a bag and bucket of ice for a customer/family member that didn't purchase anything.

This was our first and LAST time visiting this Penn Station. We ordered 2 subs and a side of fries. We asked for extra mayo on the BLT and a Dagwood with a side of Avacodo spread. They put the avocado spread on the BLT with no mayo, which is any easy mistake. However, when I back up to the counter to let them know, the woman making it proceeded to tell the order taker and myself that it wasn't her fault and basically threw a fit over it. I politely explained how it was ordered and she still came back out to our table 10 minutes later to clarify. Although, we were willing to settle for just a side of the avocado spread, they did end up remaking our subs free of charge, but it wasn't worth the attitude we received nor the 50 minute visit that should have taken 15-20 minutes. For what it's worth though, the gentleman that took our order was very polite and apologetic.

Friendly people, friendly staff, fast and accurate service, good atmosphere. Be sure to tip your server, please. Give it to them personally so someone doesn't get the idea of taking it. The person that brought your food to your table is literally your server. Be courteous by taking care of them too! Spread the love, people ❤️

Foods good. Atmosphere is decent. Customer service wasn't horrible. The only problem with this place I have is they need to put your food in separate bags instead of loading it all into 1 bag that smashes everything by the time you get it home. Other than that will definitely eat here again.

I made a pickup order... When i arrived at the store... I went to the pickup area by register. I stood there for 25 minutes waiting for anyone to acknowledge my existence. The staff pretended not to see me the entire time. Eventually I asked if I was invisible and if they had the order with my name. My order was ready and by the register since before I walked in... The whole time. They deliberately ignored me when they could have simply asked if they could help me so i couldbe on my way. This is why customers get fed up and become rude. The service is proactively poor.

The fries are fresh cut potatoes and the Dagwood is what I go to. The Dagwood is a good multi meat grilled if you want it that way sub. Corned beef, Turkey, salami and such. I opt out of the ham but they have that also. The place is clean and fast service. Oh and did I say fresh cut fries?

The food was good. The only issue I had was the prep stations where you tell them what you want in your bowl was kind of and shambles. The service was great. Very polite asked a lot of questions. The only reason I didn't give a five-star is the restroom was kind of a mess. But I was still recommend this location to anyone. One more add thing they need to upgrade their tea selection. They were out of all of them but lemon tea. I'm not a fan of lemon. And when I asked if they had non-sweet tea I was told no. So for future reference please bring unsweetened tea to your location. Like I said I wouldn't mind the peach tea I could water it down with a lot of ice.

Service was running very slow. My sandwich was made well, great taste. But they forgot to add an extra topping that I requested, which I caught after looking at my receipt, that the cashier neglected to enter. And they messed up my wife's sandwich, which seams to be a common theme every time we order from here. It's just not worth the drive back to get fixed, just so the rest of the food gets cold. In conclusion...pretty hit or miss, with pretty consistent misses.

Absolutely ridiculous management at the Troy Ohio store. I placed an order at 4pm for ONE sandwich and ONE fry and did not walk out of the store with my food until after 5 o’clock. Come to find out my sandwich was sitting on the counter the whole time. All they had to do was toss it in a bag. I love penn station but the time management here is absolutely garbage. I’ll be going to a different store from now on.

It looked like a very cluttered and small area for 7 people to be crawling over each other to make orders while they're getting bombarded with customers. The Employees did a pretty good job on our order, they seemed frustrated and a bit overwhelmed. The place was packed and I feel for them. They definitely need more room to work and I hope youre treating them well! Please improve your Employee experience, It will absolutely improve your customer experience!

If you want the best sub sandwich you will ever taste you need to go to Penn Station in Troy, Ohio. My favorite is their Founders Special because they shake teriyaki sauce onto the beef while it's on the grill cooking. Putting teriyaki sauce on any kind of beef just makes it taste much better. What I like about ALL of Penn Station Subs is that the meat, vegetables and cheese are so plentiful when you cut into the sandwich some of the ingredients fall out. I don't experience that at other places because other submarine shops hardly have any meat or ingredients on their bread. And bread is all you taste at other submarine shops. I want to taste the meat and the cheese and the onions and the mushrooms! Penn Station bread is cooked fresh and it's always very tasty. They have fresh cut french fries that are cooked in really delicious oil. And they have fresh squeezed lemons there that you can squeeze into your sodas and they also have a fresh squeezed lemonade option for a beverage. They have a sub called the Dagwood where you can look at the menu board and choose which types of meat and cheeses and other ingredients you want on your sandwich to make it very customized. They also have very good chocolate chip cookies. So treat yourself to a Penn Station sub soon. I doubt you will be going to other submarine shops after you eat at Penn Station.

Great subs and fresh cut fries. If you like lemonade make sure to try theirs. Need more staff like everywhere else and have the person handing out food to speak the names clearly and louder.

Excellent food made to order subs, the meat for the hot subs are cooked on the grill before being put in the sandwich. Fries are fresh cut. They have great lemonade

Wasn't a fan of their regular sub options, then I found the Dagwood. Build it exactly the way you want with good ingredients. What's not to like about that? Store is clean, folks at the counter are friendly. Not super fast, but worth the wait.
