👍👍 Great new vegetarian with plenty of vegan options eatery. Great atmosphere and ambiance, with attentive staff to make the experience better. Great new vegetarian with plenty of vegan options eatery. Great atmosphere and ambiance, with attentive staff to make the experience better. The food was great, we had KFC which we found out is also a part of the Espécie chain, which is given to be great already. The highlight for me was the Eggplant Katsu Sando, as the complex flavours from it left me satisfied by the end of it all. The Tofummus and Steamed Shiitake Baos were also another hit recommended as well. Only part of the menu that didn’t work for my palette was the desserts, as I guess it was hard given the entrée’s and main was top notch already. We will definitely be back to try the other main dishes.

Absolutely delicious. I have been trying the various vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Porto and this was one of the best. Had the iceberg wedge, eggplant Sando, and brulee. Flavours executed really well. Outside seating is pleasant, right opposite a beautiful park (Jardim da Cordoaria). Perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Great location right by the park but you could really make more of it with a little decoration instead of just empty tables. The food is okay but nothing special, except for the strawberry basil ceviche which I loved. Quite expensive for the simplicity of the dishes. Child-friendly (they have a baby chair) but I wouldn't go again.

Honestly the best & prettiest food in town! Try different dishes - they are reasonably sized so can be shared with two people. Suggest the KFC and the fried sweet potato.

A new veg friendly restaurant has arrived in 2023 in Porto and is a very pleasant start! Delightfully designed space and very friendly and helpful staff. Will return again.

I’m not vegetarian, but my husband is, and this was some of the most delicious food we’ve ever had! The flavors were fresh and exciting, the wine was delicious, the service was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back! Loved the KFC and the grilled cheese sandwich, especially!

I loved coming to Outra Espécie while I was in Porto! The food is creative, seasonal, and entirely vegetarian. The whole menu is marked with vegan options and dishes that can be made vegan. I loved everything I’ve tried, and particularly recommend the inside-out grilled cheese (seriously the best sandwich I’ve ever had) and the strawberry gaspacho. The staff are so kind and the space itself is nice as well. I can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in town!

What a terrific find only a week after they opened. The staff are wonderful and the food is wonderfully different; well executed and so tasty. Could have the baos every day of the week. And the beer!! We’ll be back for sure. (Great music selection too!)

So good we went here two nights in a row! Some of the best vegetarian food I’ve ever eaten. The fried sweet potato was absolutely phenomenal. Will be thinking about this place for quite some time… :)

Lovely vegetarian small plates place. Small menu but good variety of options and very satisfying food - especially the cauliflower!

My girlfriend and I found this restaurant unexpectedly and found ourselves pleasantly surprised. The food was incredible and it’s perfect for vegetarians looking for something delicious to eat! Non vegetarians would love the flavors too! The portion sizes where perfect to try a few different things. We definitely recommend the KFC dish! It was awesome!! Hoping to see places like this grow for the vegetarian community!

It’s great to find amazing veggie food in Porto. We took a few tapas and they were all outstanding. My friend appreciated most the beetroot tapas and me the goat cheese crumble. An experience I would recommend to anyone!

Stumbled into this place whilst looking for coffee. Came back for dinner later. Excellent food. Great textures and taste. Good size portions. I get easily bored with vegetarian food but this place was fab. I had the Korean Cauliflower Wings (the best I have ever had), the Iceburg Wedge (fresh and palette cleansing) the Fried Polenta (without cheese) and the Tapioca for dessert. Really delicious. Staff are great. Music was right up my street. Would come again. Also, (and I can't stress this enough) there is aircon inside!

Cute, comfortable, and casual space, totally vegetarian with tons of clearly labelled vegan dishes <3 Staff were helpful and kind. We ate so much here, no regrets. Highly recommend the KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) wings. I've had a lot of cauliflower wings in my life, and these were the absolute best. Beautifully crunchy on the outside, the sauce doesn't make them soggy at all, it's a perfect glaze. All the food was super flavorful, and we took home half of each of our main dishes, so that we could have room for sharing a delicious (vegan!) ~horchata creme brulee~. Great rendition of a classic. Having the leftovers from here for lunch the next day was so clutch.

My family shared a few orders of the shakshuka eggplant and the shiitake baos, capuccinos with almond milk, and the vegan chocolate cake. I really liked the shakshuka eggplant and the baos where very tasty, but i felt I would have been hungry if that’s all I got. Their only non-dairy milk selection was almond, and it would have been nice to have oat milk for the cappuccino’s but I’m a bit of a coffee snob LOL. The vegan chocolate was very delicious and moist. They have a good selection of clearly marked vegan menu items. Atmosphere was okay.

Excellent place for a healthy and tasty lunch in Porto if you want to take a break from the francesinha and bacalhao and get away from the crowds of tourists. I really recommend the KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflowers) and excellent kombucha. Not the cheapest eatery in town but definitely worth the detour. Not far from Torre de Clerigos. Very friendly and English speaking waiters.

AMAZING food, comfortable outdoor seating and great service. We ordered multiple dishes (Korean fried cauliflower and fried sweet potato, iceberg wedge salad, and breaded tofu kare) and everything was delicious. Highly recommended!

We think this is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Porto. We think it is better than the sister restaurant Espécie. The common dish they share is the KFC, the Korean Fried Cauliflower, which is done with Korean chili spice and is our favourite dish. They do a great eggplant grilled sandwich, and a nice fried rice, but if you are vegan ask to leave off the egg. They serve a range of drinks including some decent wine. There is outdoor seating with umbrellas and also indoor seating at long tables. The service is very friendly and helpful, all languages.

We accidentally popped in this restaurant. A great choice, we had probably our best rice dish ever. Wonderful dessert options and an attentive but not obstructive service from the waiter staff.

Really tasty vegetarian (and vegan) food, whether you’re vegetarian or not! Great to share different dishes with someone. Full of flavour! The KFC was amazing and the fried sweet potato too. The lettuce wedge sounds boring but was great! Would deffo recommend 😌

We ordered quite a lot today as we thought the portions were small. We had KFC which was tasty but too salty for my taste. The sweet potatoes were very delicious. Tofummus was nice too! Shiitake bao was just ok because I don’t eat much shiitake. The leek soup and iceberg lettuce were not bad. Overall the food was great and we left the restaurant so full that we had to roll down the hill.

Vegetarian food at its finest! I usually avoid eating cauliflower, but this restaurant has made me a fan of their dish. Unfortunately, it means I’ll have to make the long journey to Porto, Portugal to enjoy it as nothing I’ve tried elsewhere compares. Service is good and friendly. You will miss out of you don’t eat here!! Obrigado!!

Awesome place with delicious food. I like waitresses, they are friendly. Nice atmosphere and cool playlist. The dish with beans and corn should be marked as spicy in the menu.

Enjoyed a very good lunch. Fried rice, grilled veggies and sweet potato served in a different way were all perfect! Charming service at a beautiful terras facing the park. Highly recommend as a casual place to eat and hang out at day and night.

Great experience overall and great vegetarian and vegan food and really friendly staff. All the dishes were made to share and we orders a total of 5 dishes and a dessert which were all really good. It was open early and we had a toddler with us who was also really pleased with the food. Would heartily recommend.
