This lake is surrounded by villages. It is near to famous Gurunathaswamy temple in அந்தியூர் (Anthiyur) town. It is water source for ground water for surrounding area people. Fishing is done whenever water is available. It received water from the nearby வரட்டுபள்ளம் (Varattupallam) dam. Not a perfect tourist place. But can spend sometime. Roads are constructed for transport around this lake.
