Do not book this hotel! The hotel looks nice from the outside with the waterfall, but when you go in, hell awaits you and is not worth 5 stars at all. When I checked in, the staff had poor English skills and were very unfriendly. They also took the full amount from my credit card. Then I wanted to go to my room, but the card for my room was the wrong one. When I asked, they gave me the right one. When I went to my room, I noticed the light switches were not suitable for Europeans. Then I wanted to turn on the TV, but the remote control was not available. After asking, I got one. There is also a razor blade under the bed and in general this hotel is very unkind. I didn't like my room and the shower had no seal, so all the water from the shower ran into the bathroom. But it gets even better - the next morning I wanted to go to breakfast, as booking.de said that breakfast was included. But wrong thinking, you should pay for breakfast yourself. After all the disappointments, I checked out and there was no apology or anything. Actually I would have liked to refund my money because it is never worth 5 stars, unprofessional, very expensive and not good value. I do not recommend!

We stayed at the hotel for a business meeting for 6 nights. The hotel makes a nice impression from the outside as well, when you enter the lobby and meeting area. The staff in the hotel was friendly, also reserved and not looking ahead of things. The room needed maintenance in the bathroom and the dresser had no handle, which was broken and laying in the drawer instead. The hotel room doors are not open correctly due to temperature changes and making noises when you open them or even not open at all when trying to enter the hotel room. In the room also was the entire light on couple days not working. It was offered to change to room, but when you stay at the hotel for 6 nights you do not want to repack and unpack everything again. The daily cleaning of the room was poor as only the trash bins and the shower/sink was cleaned. Nevertheless, the floor was not vacuumed for 6 days because the crumbs were still in front of the bed as on the first day. For breakfast it took a long time until the full buffet was set up in the morning, which is unpleasant during a business trip, when the time is limited in the morning. Overall impression it seems that the staff is not trained and a minimum on staff is available throughout the entire hotel. At the reception, breakfast area, bar, and restaurant. It turned out that you always must be behind and ask for everything twice and check that it is finally done.

This is a great hotel, the design is gorgeous, it’s interesting to read the story behind the design of this hotel. Staff are very friendly, the food served for the breakfast is excellent, very clean hotel with great standards. The only disadvantage is the location that is away of the center for those who are coming for tourism,I went for work and it was perfect.

Everything was simply perfect The largest indoor pool I've seen in a hotel so far. The rooms were clean. There could have been a chocolate with the coffee if I may give a tip. Friendly service and rich breakfast with a large varieties to choose from. Fresh juices available. Parking on the road in the weekend is free of charge however at the hotel is pretty expensive. The restaurant had somehow high prices in terms of food. Friendly stuff and very clean place.

Avoid this hotel at all cost! I accidentally walked by kitchen, and saw an Asian management lady shouting and cursing at waiters and chef's at her highest volume and vulgar words hard to imagine. A company treating employees badly and in disrespectful way does not deserve any business. I feel so sorry for normal people working in such an environment and still need to smile at guests.

The receptionist lady at the desk was very dismissive and rude from the beginning. Three staff watched us struggle to find parking outside and then struggle with our bags, without offering any help although the hotel and lobby were completely empty. Pets are permitted but there is a €50 charge which they surprise you with upon check in and mention nothing about during booking. Nothing is provided for the pet in return for the fee. Complete rip off. When we arrived at the room the toilet had not been cleaned (absolutely disgusting) and the bathroom had stains all around so we got moved to a different room. The room is very small and distinctly average. The minibar in the room was completely empty, with stains inside. And only one tiny bottle of water offered for a two bed “king size” room. Very disappointing. The Porter was kind in the end, suggested the room change and helped us with our bags to move rooms but the receptionist was not helpful at all, giving the hotel a dreadful first impression from the start of our stay. Don’t recommend.

Fantastic hotel, well presented rooms and the service from all staff was perfect, I can't thank the hotel enough for one of the most comfortable stays we have ever experienced. We also enjoyed thier indoor pool as it was raining for most of our visit. Food was a real bonus, on our final day we enjoyed some lunch at the onsite halal restaurant, we enjoyed thier spaghetti bolognese and mahgarita pizza. Some of the best food we have ever tasted in any restaurant! We will return to your hotel if we ever visit Brussels again! Just to note that this hotel is located a short 10min walk from the Alma metro(tube) station which leads to all.other connections and train station

    - Communications issues with the receptionist for the Check-In 👎🏾 - put the wrong name on the TV screen of my room 👍🏾 - Rooms are clean , food was good 👍🏾 - Concierge was super friendly and the lady with short black hair from the bar as well 👍🏾 In terms of service I only recommend the place if you want to eat a breakfast or drink at the bar

We booked this hotel for a weekend, the service was absolutely perfect. No had a problem with a light bulb in one of the rooms and they directly solved the problem by overtaking us in a suite. The pool was very clean as well as the sauna.

To start, I suggest this hotel should not to have 5 stars. We had a two days business meeting at the hotel. I forgot my new blue jacket inside the closet of my room, 230. I called three times to ask whether they found it or not and they told me every time at the reception they will call me back. They never did. I called one last time, I had to wait on hold while the receptionist was asking a colleague, then she replied: I’m sorry, we didn’t find it; and that was it: no apologies, nothing, so someone from the staff stole it. Another college lost his watch inside the meeting room, he asked as well and they told him exactly the same. No object found, no apologies, nothing. Secondly, when we arrived, on Monday 01/08/2022 around noon, there was a strong argument between a receptionist and a customer, with even some swearings, embarrassing the rest of the customers presents in the lobby. Later that day, we had business meetings in front of the Ballroom. The floors was very dirty, with a big splash of red sauce and shrimps, smelling a lot. The same day, during the dinner, only two waiters were working. No attention at all, we waited more than one hour to be assisted with the tablets and the menus. They took more than one hour to bring us the food. The meat was full of fat nodes, the fish with a very heavy bechamel, the vegetables cold and not well cooked. The mens restrooms near the ballroom with no water, smelling a lot. This experience was really a disaster but the price didn’t have any adjustment. I highly recommend not to book here or at least to remove a couple of stars because the quality of the service and the customers attention were really bad.

The room was very well insulated, we slept well. However, the room wasn't very clean, there were only bathing towels and towels to dry your hands, and only 1 bathing suite for 2 people. There is an above average amount of services that require an extra fee and the minibar prices are to high for the underwhelming, run of the mill selection. Only some of the staff are above average when it comes to hospitality. Some will only greet you if you greet them first, even at the reception. And we had an exceptionally upsetting encounter with the service in the restaurant: The waiter didn't seem to know the menu or the ingredients (imho a big no-no if you work in a restaurant, I'm a trained cook myself). We asked, what the vegetarian curry (which was listed in the "fish" section of the menu) contains. He went to the kitchen and came back with the very unspecific answer "vegetables". The main ingredient was chicken-substitute, we asked what's in it when it was served, since we didn't expect that. We asked what's in it, since my wife can't eat soy. Turns out, it was soy based. We didn't complain though and we weren't mad about this faux pas, we didn't asked for any sort of compensation and told them, that we will simply pull the soy out of the Curry. But the service staff explicitly stated, without shame, that it's my wifes "at fault", since he told us, that it contains vegetables, which is extremely inappropriate. We didn't complain about the incident since we didn't want to ruin our stay with even more discussions with and indiscretions of such types staff members. The food was not bad, but somewhat underwhelming. The stay wasn't to bad, the above mentioned incident was a negligable stain on your stay in brussels, but we expected way better from a 5-star hotel.

I stayed at the Tangla as a 5star package to have cosmetic surgery. I found the staff rude and the girl at reception was extremely rude and unprofessional. The breakfast was awful. The hotel is pretty and a great location. We didn’t have any coffee in our room for the coffee machine and room service was extremely slow. I asked for a extra pillows after my surgery and didn’t get any. For a 5 star hotel I was really disappointed.

Really really bad experience and huge disappointment. Very bad service with a Chinese chef from a restaurant very rude to Chinese but very polite to foreigners. The breakfast is disgusting. Coffee machine can’t work. It’s just a place for eating. This hotel is more like a place for those pilots and flight attendants to rest but not for travellers or voyagers. Not recommend at all

The hotel overall is very nice, rooms are clean, a bit far from Brussels Central but manageable. The only thing was after we checked out we were waiting in the lobby area apparently the bar. The waiter told us we couldn’t be there unless we order something and I completely understand if the space was full or if there were people waiting for the space but it was completely empty I don’t know if those are the rules but it was rude.

Nice and spacious hotel. Not in the city centre, so you need a car/taxi. Stay out of their restaurant!!! (The Chinese one was closed so we had to choose the other one-terrible food and service)!

I had a great experience at Tangla hotel Brussels. It is really the cleanest hotel in Brussels I stayed in, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the pool is big and clean and the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. There are two restaurants to choose from and the food was good. I would recommend.

Staff was ok, but did certainly not go the extra mile. No info on swimming pool was given. Swimming pool was pretty cold. Voucher in the room said breakfast starts at 6:30, but when I arrive at 6:45, nothing is ready, seems that it was changed to start at 7:00 but nobody informed me upon arrival. Even when getting at the breakfast room at 7:10, the buffet was only half filled (warm dishes arriving around 7:15). TV was not working. Location is really bad: far away from everything and nothing to do in the environment. Rooms were comfortable and very clean and the hotel does have a luxury feeling.

His hotel is owned and operated by a chinese company. There's something not quite right with the hotel, and I can't put my finger on it. Check in was fine, no problems and managed to park right outside which is a bonus. Room was OK, not spectacular but just ok. Kind of Holiday Inn ok. The gym and pool are great and well looked after. But the bar and restaurant. Seriously don't go there. For its location, which really isn't very convenient for access to the city, the price of a 50cl draft beer is €12. Ad an example, Brussels City centre is €6.50. That's a cafe right in the centre. Almost half the price. Food I had was nice, but a kids size spaghetti bolognaise for €18. I really couldn't justify spending that amount of money each evening I was there, so it was cheaper to catch a train in to the city, eat and drink there and come back. There's money here, and sadly it's clear that money talks. I felt uncomfortable here and I really have no idea why. Maybe because we always had to seek out a staff member for the bar or restaurant. Maybe because the richer guests were able to get the staffs attention infront of us, I don't know. I just didn't feel right here.

Dear R. Schmitz / Tangla hotels, I did not know how to directly reply to your response, I deleted my previous review and placed a new one. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your response and my apologies I did not support my review with an elaboration. I assumed that the recensions were not monitored by you and hence pointless. Good to see this is done, I think it is a good practice. A long story short - I am a bit disappointed in the service Tangla hotels provided me. I apparently reserved a room via NEO (business system we use at our company) a while ago for the 19th of August. In the meantime, my company switched from booking system and I was under the impression that bookings were automatically canceled (and indeed, in hindsight I should have contacted Tangla to confirm this), this was unfortunately not the case. Resulting that I booked a room where I did not show up for. I use my personal credit card for bookings and I no longer work for the department I used to work for, I could not get this significant amount refunded by my company. I contacted the hotel and explained my situation, I was informed that my situation was not “convincing enough” to be submitted to management and to eligible for restitution. Although I was answered polite and swiftly by your employees, I was left a bit disappointed. I know this is for the biggest part not the hotel’s concern – I booked the room and I was not proactive enough to contact the hotel to confirm the cancellation. But I have stayed multiple times in your hotel for my business trips to the UCLouvain, I really enjoyed the stays. I also had multiple other reservations for other hotels around Belgium that were not cancelled in time and I received the restitution after I explained my situation. I am disappointed that I received the reaction that my situation was not “convincing enough”. I also think this is a pity because I really enjoyed my stay the previous times but the next times I will visit UCLouvain I will stay at another hotel. Thank you for understanding. Kind regards, Maikel

My stay itself at the hotel was good, however I was charged for breakfast before I even arrived for check in and in reporting this error to the hotel, I received no communication back. I’ve called twice within a week of this happening only to be redirected to email…

Luxury stay in Brussels. The rooms are amazing and so quiet, which leads to a good quality of sleep. Everything is really clean and overall the staff is really friendly and helpfull. If you want a relaxed stay, Tangla is definitely the place to be.

Great hotel. A bit inconvenient building plan if one wants access to the swimming pool, must go theory the lobby and lounge. A bit surprising that’s the pool area is does not match the hotel standard of a 4 star. No towels or any comfort accessory like bath suit dryer. The restaurant service is unfortunately bad, despite that staff is nice. Very unstructured and very little care and attention was given to me. Still an excellent choice over all.

Do you know those 5 stars hotels trying to impress you with shinny stuff but then offer average experience? That's not what I found here. The Tangla succeeded to offer me comfort, serenity and a feeling of luxury: - it has the very best Hotel gym in Brussels It even has free weights, kettle bells and BOSU! - it's also the best hotel sauna in Brussels in my experience. The sauna is huge, warm (90 Celsius), very clean, you can poor water on the stones and it's open everyday from 6:30 am to 21:00. (if you want cold shower after it, the shower in the changing room is colder than the one by the pool) - The desk in the room is much larger than it looks on the pictures, I could have fit several large laptops on it, there was lot of room for my legs and the chair was comfortable. I could comfortably work 8 hours straight in my room. Also the Wifi is actually high speed, I had a large Zoom meeting and it did not glitch. - There is easy and safe free street parking outside the hotel. But if you prefer the hotel indoor parking, I tried it, it's nice, easy to manoeuvre and it costs 15€ per night. - The staff was very attentive and professional, giving me the impression that they like their job and are happy to work there. - it's not located in the centre, but there are a lot of options to easily get in the city centre in only 15 minutes (taxi or tram) and the experience is so much better than any other 5* hotels that I have tried in Brussels that it was totally worths the journey. I definitely recommend the Tangla Hotel to any business traveler looking for a quite, comfortable and luxurious place to stay while in Brussels.

Very courteous staff, great food selection in breakfast and superb service.. i lost my wallet but the Hotel team helped me out innovatively and even packed my breakfast as i had a very early check out. One of the best omelet i had ever..

For a 5 star hotel the service and rooms are appalling. Stayed here for two nights, the house keepers did an awful job of ‘cleaning’ the room, hotel staff took 20/30 minutes to resolve each enquiry and a Porter is non existent so your dragging heavy luggage to your own room. Hotel is beautiful when you walk in until you get to your room the mini fridges are empty, the rooms are small and not what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel.

This Chinese-owned hotel surprisingly aced among local hotels. Loved the jasmine tea + coffee in the room. Nice shower and perfect climate control. Should’ve tried the sauna. Corny Chinese decorations but this is not minus. Breakfast is excellent with inclusion of Asian twist.

Stayed overnight for business. I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend this hotel: friendly, helpful and efficient staff (e.g. warm welcome and farewell; I forgot a power socket adapter and they were happy to lend me one); clean, comfortable and modern rooms; good food (although I only had a breakfast); nice ambiance; in general a very clean, well presented and organised hotel.

Pleasant stay at an excellent place We liked everything about this hotel. The staffs were really kind, the food (breakfast) was great, very comfortable and sophisticated rooms, the pool, the gym and the sauna were maintained really clean. Wonderful experience.

Hotel is nicely designed, rooms are functional, staff is friendly. However, there are some weird things: - wifi keeps disconnecting after ~10 min and you have to login again. also, no secure wifi available - aircon not working in the room - some services are sometimes not functioning - like room service or restaurants

Nice Chinese hotel with lovely swimming pool, mixed dressed sauna and large gym. The Fang25 rooms are spacious clean and have a fridge for your own drinks and snacks. There is a strip outside the hotel where you can park for free with a blue time disk (2 hours max) and free on weekends. They try to make you park in the underground parking for 25 Euro per day, 15 p/d in the weekend. Posh restaurants for those who like dimsum, or are happy with not a large choose of main dishes, no steak on the menu. From here there is a metro station nearby which takes you in 20 minutes tot the city centre of Brussels. You can just swipe your bank card to get on the metro.

Terrible personal very nosy stood and listened during dinner, we have private work within politics and felt like we were surveyed by personel, and much more. Found black hair balls stuck on sheets. Bathroom toilet not well cleaned . Honestly this deserves maximum 2 stars on a good day !

Friendly staff in an excellent location. The rooms are very clean. I was planning to buy chocolates on Sunday for my family. I didn't realize that all the stores close in Brussels on Sunday. Fortunately the hotel sold an excellent brand of chocolates.
