Super friendly staff, clean and comfortable place! The casitas were nice and private. Only feedback would be improve the curtains to block out more light, or dim the lights at night in the big room. Overall enjoyed my stay! :)

If you are looking for a place to stay in San Sebastián, look no further! Colo Colo is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s better than most of the cheap hotels I’ve stayed in in Spain in general! The location is amazing, a few minutes walk from the Old Town and the beach. The service is fantastic, the receptionist recommended great places to eat and to go, great things to see and very nice. The hostel was cleaned twice a day! The bed space or “casitas” offer privacy and you get your own tablet and headphones to use if you so wish. Free coffee, you get a big locker with a code that only you have access to, the list goes on. I would give it a 7/5 stars if I could.

I was looking for a place to stay in San Sebastian during SSIFF and I found Colo Colo. At first I was a bit skeptical about the concept but the 'casitas' were actually quite spacious and comfortable, it definitely felt much more private than a bunker bed! The location is right in the city center so it's perfect to walk around to the main attractions in the city. Irati, the girl in the lobby was super friendly and helpful, would definitely go back if I go to Donostia again!

Straight up the best hostel experience I've had in my life. Slept without a pause in a comfortable, cozy and spacious cabin like capsule. The bathrooms were impecable, the common area delightful. And don't get me started on how easy it was to move around, check-in, check-out and enjoy the city. Perfectly located, friendly and efficient staff, I can't wait for more ColoColo's to open their doors around the world. Irati, the receptionist was incredibly nice and David, the owner of the place was incredibly focused on everyone's feedback to improve the place. I feel honored to have enjoyed the inauguration week. Will definitely come back!!!

I had such a great time here. It was better than I expected. The bed, the facilities, everything, were all above my expectation and I met some great people too. I'll definitely go back.

Our stay @Colo Colo Hostel was just for one night, but it was a pleasant experience. The capsule concept is cool. The double bed is huge and you feel super cozy inside. Staff was helpful and kind. The kitchen has a decent espresso maker and you can make as many as you want. Everything is super modern, its cool but at the same time the place lacks a soul/character. IMO this is the kind of place for single travellers who need to work and not party. Highly recommend!

Really excellent hostel, the accommodation is one large room with 20+ bed cabins. Each with a small drawer at the base for shoes and a coat. Downstairs in the basement there is a large kitchen area with free coffee, and seating and a large bank of extra large lockers with key pad security. The lockers had plenty of room for a rucksack and extra stuff. There was a large clean bathroom area with cubicle showers, toilets and sinks. The coffee was proper bean coffee and free milk is provided. The hostel is staffed till 6pm. Then the same 4 digit PIN code is used to access locker and dormitory and the main door. Location is excellent and staff were fab. Excellent hostel accommodation, I have no problem recommending this Hostel.

As other travellers have said and I agree, it’s the best hostel experience I have ever had. Great design, comfortable pods with extra touches like connected tablet, charging points and lights. Kitchen is brilliant and has free coffee. The bathrooms are clean however the materials they’ve used are already beginning to look a bit dirty. Even so I’ve given it 5 stars because the vibe in this place is peaceful and respectful of others. Incredible value in a ridiculously good location in San Sebastián. Definitely stay again.

Stunning hostel, great location, super clean and so comfy. I am a big fan of the casitas which are super comfortable, offer privacy and also are well equipped (tablet, headphones, plugs, light). It reminded me of some of the nice capsule hotels in Japan that I really enjoyed. The free coffee is also very tasty. The shared spaced downstairs is functional, as some others mentioned, there are microwaves but no stoves. Showers and toilets were always super clean. A fantastic place to stay! I wish more hostels were like this, as a solo traveler, this was a big upgrade from shared dorms with bunk beds

nice, clean and modern hostel to stay in San Sebastián. The lady in the reception was very helpful, kind and well mannered. She knows her job. I just don’t like the guy that charge me 5 euro for a towel, his energy and his fake smile , this is just my opinion thanks

Reception is only open from 10.00 till 18.00 and there is no one present there at other times, also no night guard. A number of people who stay there are working early in the morning, having zoom calls in the kitchen where others are having breakfast—hushing people when they talk over breakfast. The breakfast voucher system they have is a bit opaque. You get a discount on breakfast at another place. People are not allowed to shave in the hostel, which is a pretty strange restriction I have not come across anywhere else. Towels need to be rented separately at the cost of 5€. Overall, the hostel is quite pricy for what you get.

The wooden pods are in a dormitory very clean and offer privacy with a pull down blind. Each has an under bed drawer, light, mirror and charging station. The matress is comfortable and bed linen pristine. I found the dorm to be quiet but that will depend on the guests at the time! The kitchen area offers free coffee, food storage, additional locker space with personal code and somewhere to sit. eat work or chat. There is no outside space neither are there any windows. Perfect for a couple of nights. The manager could not have been more helpful! Quiet safe area near to all the bars, restaurants, and beaches.

The hostel is okay, but at about 70 euros per person per night, way overpriced (!). I can’t for the life of me understand why this has such great reviews. It’s tidy and has decent amenities, but nothing special. The kitchen / lounge area lacks atmosphere and is not a nice place to hang out at all. The beds are okay but basically it’s just one large dormitory with wooden ‘pods’ that you climb into. There are no staff at the hostel before 10am and after 6pm, so you have to check in and out digitally. Which is fine, but begs the question why they charge 70(!) euros since they must have minimal operating costs. Towels are available but you have to pay 5 euros to rent one. Note: if you make a reservation you get an email saying there’s a voucher for breakfast, but there is no breakfast in the hostel. There’s a couple of cafes in the area that give you a discount if you stay in the hostel. They could be clearer on their website and in emails about this. All in all: I would’ve given more stars if it had been priced at normal hostel rates.

Quality modern hostel but why did they use noisy blinds instead of soft curtains ? Didn't use the ipad in the bed space. .Nice staff.

Good hostel with nice rooms/capsules. I enjoyed my trip. The capsules could be better airconditioned, because it gets very warm inside once the „door“ is closed.

I've stayed at a lot of hostels, but this is hands down my favorite. They designed it perfectly, and keep it spotless. Each "Casita" is its own private room when the curtain is lowered. The dorm and common area/kitchen/bathrooms are on two separate floors which allows you to have a quiet restful sleep. I love how there isn't a main light in the dorm room either. Instead there are soft string lights that illuminate the dorm so you can easily find your way around without having to wake up your neighbors. I wish ColoColo was everywhere in the world bc I would only stay there when traveling. Highest recommendation for San Sebastian. You'd be foolish to stay anywhere else.

One of the best hostel’s I have stayed in and at a great price! The location of the hostel is very convenient and the facilities are very well kept! The “Casitas” (wooden pods where the bed is located) are super innovative and have a great aesthetic! Looking forward to coming back!
