Perfect location for easy access to all the bars and restaurants. Friendly staff. Beautiful rooftop and views. Clean and modern rooms. Comfortable bed. Their bar and restaurant downstairs is really nice and the rooftop bar is really cool too. Love this place and glad we stayed here for our Honeymoon. Highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Lasala Plaza is what made our trip to San Sebastian incredible! The location was more than ideal (heart of Old Town), the renovations and decor were beautiful, the room and rooftop were fantastic, and the staff were so helpful and friendly! The A/C and heater worked very well, which is a huge plus for us picky American travelers. Even though we visited during the fall/winter, I can imagine that the hotel restaurant and rooftop bar/pool are vibrant and lots of fun, therefore when we return to SS, we will definitely rebook at Lasala Plaza.

Hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Glad we splurged on itā€¦ location is fantastic, champagne on check in and great service. Rooms are very clean and top of the range. The rooftop is where the money is atā€¦ only hotel guests get access, so no random people from the public. Food is on the pricer side, but itā€™s all about the viewā€¦ pool is very shallow, but a good refresh on a hot day. Would absolutely come back again, highly recommend!

I will take some personal responsibility for the four-star review. The hotel does not allow kids. The English website and associated travel sites do not clearly state this, but it is in the fine print and on the Spanish sites. The management was helpful but did not allow us to stay there with our kids so we had to split up our group. The hotel and staff were great, I just wish they marketed themselves a little better as adults only.

The hotel and room are so lovely, and the location is perfect. Staff from front of the house to the housekeeping staff are commendable. Axier from the restaurant is the star and he brings guest experience and service to another level. We traveled often and it is a joy to get to know that hospitality of such caliber did exist. The foods are excellent.

From the moment I landed in San Sebastian Airport to the check-in and room I knew I was in for a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar was not only convenient but efficient with a great selection. I booked a rather larger suite so I could feel like I was at home given my long travels and the room, amenities, location and decorations were wonderful. Overall, the Hotel has been amazing. Centrally located in old town, steps from the pier and the best Pintxo's restaurant. Rooftop bar was closed but the view during either day or night was amazing. Can't wait to return.

Great hotel staff are the very best and will do anything to make sure you have the best experience, views from rooms are spectacular and the location is No 1 in San Sebastian if you are a foodie 30 seconds from Old town, I was there to celebrate my Birthday and hotel staff went out of their way to make my stay the best ever. Thank you to all the team

Hotel Lasala Plaza is absolutely first class. The location is prefect, right in the happening area, but on the periphery. Overlooking the waterfront. Rooms are impeccable, staff are super nice. Cannot go wrong staying here, possibly the best hotel in all of Donastia !

on the day of my checkout i was charged 5 euros for a black tea and 4.5 euros for a coffee, wasnā€™t allowed to go into the breakfast salon to ā€˜sitā€™ given that i hadnā€™t payed for the buffet that is 30euros per person. the only place i could repose other than the reception was in front of the elevators, enjoyed my scrumptious cup of coffee with the greyscale view of the elegant elevator. totally worth the scenery. also very poor behavior from the breakfast salon workers, no boundaries/respect.

Amazing customer service at both the concierge, and the bar. Didnā€™t experience the restaurant. The rooms were beautiful, very up to date, and were extraordinarily clean. The location is perfect walking distance to anywhere in San SebastiĆ”n as well. Iā€™d highly recommend staying here.

I could not rate this hotel highly enough. The location is second to none, a few minutes stroll from the beach, once entrance is directly into the old town and the hotel itself is just relaxed elegance from start to finish. Exceptional staff from start to end. I'll be back and will be happy to recommend

Really enjoyed our stay at Lasala Plaza Hotel! From the moment we arrived at gone midnight the staff were so friendly and efficient. A welcome drink went down a treat as well. I'd not recommend going for the romantic package though, disappointingly the late check out is not actually guaranteed (we had to ring reception on the day to see if it was even available and only got 1pm when the website leads one to expect to always get 2pm) The location is perfect. In the middle of old town you are right next to many bars and restaurants but I would recommend getting one of the rooms with a sea view as it's simply magical. The room was generally great, especially the bathroom. But it was a bit let down by an uncomfortable and saggy sofa and dirty chairs. We also asked for the bed sheets to be changed one day but they clearly weren't, other than that the cleaning staff did a fine job! Even in a town of great food the breakfast stood out. I can honestly say it's the best hotel breakfast I've had. The continental style selection is broad and the quality of all components is fantastic. The only other thing to mention would be the rooftop. The views are great but the pool is a bit disappointing as it's really narrow and shallow. It's not a swimming pool but just something to dip your feet in. Overall I'd really recommend this hotel and will likely book again when next in San SebastiƔn.

This is the place to stay for luxury and sewage. It has modern, luxurious rooms and a great location right by the port. But the service is a real letdown. Perhaps itā€™s because itā€™s the peak season but I have yet to find anyone who will show a genuine smile. You will also be rewarded with sewage coming up from the shower and toilet (see photos). The maintenance person told me this is not the first time- something to do in relation to the rooftop pool. For pure luxury and good service, stay elsewhere. For luxury and sewage, Lasala is the place.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Room, hotel and staff were wonderful. We decided on an upgraded room with a view. Definitely worth the extra money, the view was just incredible! The staff was helpful and friendly. Right next to all the bars, shops and restaurants. Great stay!

Fabulous hotel with an incredible location in Old Town! Glass of champagne upon check-in. Very attentive and kind staff. Wonderful breakfast, comfortable bed, great pillows, soft sheets. Great shower. Be sure to splurge on a sea view room - you will be so glad you did! Such a beautiful town to enjoy and explore and having such a wonderful place to come to and relax truly makes for a memorable stay!

The hotel is luxurious and is superbly located. The rooms are clean and well serviced and the roof top bar is absolutely lovely overlooking the whole of La Concha beach. The service from the reception staff and the roof top bar staff was absolutely superb. However, the reason I have not given a full 5 stars for service is that when we decided to have breakfast in the hotel on the last day (for the first time as was not included in our room charge) the service was very indifferent bordering on bad. On arriving we were made to feel very unwelcome due to the fact that breakfast was not included in our room charge and we were not on their list (even though you are able to avail yourselves of breakfast at an additional charge). No one explained how it worked and we were left to pick our own table and had to ask repeatedly for a menu. However, all in all a lovely stay at this fabulous hotel and fabulous place.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Welcoming service, great breakfast, stunning roof terrace. Unfortunately no gym which wasnā€™t clear to me before and which for me costs a star. Happy to recommend and to come back again.

Amazing experience. The Lasala Plaza Hotel is one of the best hotel where I have stayed. Itā€™s beautiful, great location, amazing service, great food !! Definitely a gem and the best place to stay when visiting Donostia/San Sebastian. Special mentions to Andrea at front desk, Diana and Eveline at the bar and restaurant and special thanks to hotel Director Mikel Zaldua. Canā€™t wait to go back.

Stunning views with Fabulous Accommodations. The attention to detail and service is top notch. You are overlooking the bay and all the activities of San Sebastian. Very close to everything... Shopping, restaurants, bars, etc . A few delightful room details were a nice hair dryer, heated bathroom floors, combo toilet/bidet & Bluetooth surround sound! Luxurious amenities all around!

Great location right in old town. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. No complaints at all.

Beautiful hotel with the most incredible views (be sure to check out the rooftop). Super clean and well equipped. Located in the heart of the old town, making it extremely convenient. Hotel staff were diligent and super helpful. Would definitely go back.

Great hotel. Ocean view is the way to go. Best location in town. Very accomodating staff. Good rooftop bar with small siskibg pool with ocean views. Would highly recommend. Only complaint is that hotel breakfast was way overpriced. But there are several local options within 1-5 minute walk that we really enjoyed.

Beautiful boutique style hotel. Great location, just few steps from the old city, downtown, and La Concha beach. Service was fantastic. About the rooms: Rooms are spacious, beautiful, and extremely clean. The only thing I will recommend the hotel is to upgrade their luggage stands. We requested for 2 for our room, but while they were nice looking they were not sturdy. About breakfast: Breakfast was lovely and the team that worked at the breakfast salon went above and beyond to make guest feel valuable and welcome. Special acknowledgement to Diana, she was really outstanding. Front desk & roof top: The front desk team also were extremely helpful and friendly. I cannot say the same if the team in the roof top. All ladies working there were not attentive at all. I think they thought they were there chilling and having a time with their friends instead of being at work. They were just gossiping about their lives , in 2 different occasions asked for the menu and they did not even come back to our table in 15 min. They just stayed in the bar talking. The guys working at the bar a total different thing, professional and checking on clients. The roof top is nicely decorated with amazing views of the city. This is and adult only property which helped us to have the quiet vacation we were looking to have. We really enjoyed our stay at Lasala and we will definitely be back.

Great service, really luxurious room and despite historical label, had a great panoramic view of the beach!

The absolute best hotel we stayed in during our honeymoon in Spain. When we arrived, we were warmly received by very helpful and polite staff who also offered us a welcome drink each. The room was clean, spacious, modern and had a beautiful view (we booked the Double Room with Port View). The toilet floor was heated!Location was also superb - conveniently located near pintxos bars and also this bakery which we loved (Galparsoro). We were also thankful for the bottle of Cava and box of handmade chocolates which we received from the hotel - we are so glad we chose to stay here during our honeymoon! Highly recommended.

We were treated very well from the moment we pulled up our car. The views from the premium sea view room were ideal, and the location to the popular pintxos spots was perfect. The breakfast spread was more than we could have asked for, and we took advantage of that. I highly recommend Hotel Lasala Plaza if staying in San SebastiƔn.

This is one of the most unique, well-appointed and beautiful hotels in which I have stayed. The rooms were very well done with comfortable mattresses, heated floors, AC and beautiful art. Perhaps the best part of the hotel is the rooftop with stunning views of the city. Great poolside service too. There is a pool on the rooftop but it is only 2 feet deep so don't plan on going for a swim but it is perfect for dipping your feet in on a hot day. If/when I come back to San Sebastian, I will definitely be staying here again!

I thought San Sebastian was, oddly, in shortage of good, higher-end hotels, but apparently I was wrong. This hotel is better than Hotel Maria Cristina (nice but banal), which I stayed through the Amex FHR program, and it's just half the price, too! Everything was perfect. Perfect location - less than a 5-minute walk from all the great pintxo bars and just a 2-minute walk from the beach, yet very quiet as the hotel is tucked away in a small back-alley plaza. Perfect service - a young team but everyone was professional and spoke perfect English. Perfect room - modern (with washlet!), comfy, relaxing, tastefully decorated. Finally, the roof top view is something else - overlooking the entire city and offering a 360-degree view of the sea and Urgull. You have to experience it to know how good it is. This is THE hotel to stay at San Sebastian and I'd definitely come back again!

Lovely hotel, the location is perfect for exploring old town & Mora Castle. Beds are so comfortable, some of the best I've slept in. The view from the rooftop terrace is a real treat, although I wish they'd serve a better variety of drinks - maybe some cocktails? The lack of iron in the room is always a bit of a gripe for me, but one was delivered to our room when we called.

Fantastic hotel located in the most ideal spot of San SebastiĆ”n. Canā€™t really think of a single aspect of this hotel that wasnā€™t A+ rated. Room 603 was incredible!

This is a great hotel, with a fabulous staff in a very hip historic area of San SebastiƔn.

From the moment we arrived, this hotel was sheer joy. Friendly and welcoming staff, with a glass of champagne on arrival, a wonderfully appointed fresh & modern room, great bedding and perfect service & attention to detail. The rooftop is the perfect place to spend a few hours with a drink overlooking the bay.

The best hotel we have stayed at in a long while. Well located for the old town. Room was excellent with a fabulous view of the bay. Breakfast was outstanding and the hotel and car valet staff very welcoming and helpful.

Wonderfully designed hotel and excellent very friendly service at very fair prices. A five star šŸŒŸ experience.

We booked a room which had free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to the stay. We called, spoke to the receptionist and cancelled our room over 2 weeks in advance due to changing travel plans. We were reassured that the booking was cancelled and we would not be charged. Then two weeks later they (surprise!) billed us for a room we never stayed in, said they had no recollection that we had cancelled. They refused to refund the charge. I would recommend you stay elsewhere in San Sebastian if you don't want to be charged hundreds of dollars for their incompetence.

Beautiful hotel. The staff very helpful and pleasant. They have the best roof top deck. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfy. The Pintxos and breakfast buffet were very good. Just a little surprised about the pool. It was so small Iā€™m not sure I would even call it a pool.

What a special experience! The rooms are beautiful with great view but a bit small and noisy, location is amazing. The rooftop and breakfast are great, although not much drinks options at rooftop. Enjoyed every moment thank you.

  • 5/5 Sabrina R. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are modern and beautiful, and the service is incredible! The rooftop bar/pool took it to the next level of luxury. Each person on staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel Lasala Plaza and their entire staff, especially Estefania, were absolutely delightful. They accommodated us with a last minute request for a room, which ended up being absolutely brilliantā€“modern, clean, quiet, and luxurious. The hotel location is ideal being close to both the beach and city. I recommend staying here on your next visit (and don't miss out on the roof top pool!).

  • 5/5 Billy F. 1 year ago on Google
Top floor and sea view room = one of the most spectacular hotel stays of our lives. They have a fantastic breakfast and dinner and are in the middle of one of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe. We cannot wait to go back.

  • 5/5 South Glos S. 1 year ago on Google
So, the easy bit is the location and the views, simply the best, now the bit that others struggle with is the staff, Lasala has the best team of staff I have ever come across, not one weak link. The valet parking, superb, they even apologised about adjusting my seat. The reception and bar staff, superb. First class, I do not understand why this hasn't been awarded 5 stars, we will recommend to others and we will be back.

We spent several nights here. The welcome glass of champagne was lovely. We really enjoyed the rooftop terrace, but wish the dining services had extended to the additional chairs, since it was sometimes difficult to get a table. The water from the shower leaked onto the rest of the bathroom floor and we needed to use the hand towels to fix that. There was limited counter space in the bathroom, so more hooks would have helped.

We love this hotel. It is our home away from home in San Sebastian. In the old town district, close to the beach and fairly close to the shopping district. The hotel is extremely clean, service is phenomenal. The Rooms are new. It is not cheap but the price is worth it.

  • 5/5 Mike C. 1 year ago on Google
Loved the hotel! Everything about it - the service, the size, comfort, and cleanliness of the room, the accessibility and location made it a special hotel. The cost of bar drinks also very reasonable, especially given the plushness and ambience in the hotel's bar. Would highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit!

  • 5/5 Ranveig B. 1 year ago on Google
Luxury hotel in a fantastic location downtown San Sebastian! It's a little tricky to get to but the hotel even has a video on their website with instructions on where to drive. Beautiful rooftop pool and poolside bar - only minor issue is that it is only open on weekends. The staff was very friendly and service oriented.
