A great stay at a hotel in the center of the city. Beautiful room, great ambiance, a very good restaurant downstairs. Plain and simple Reception with receptionists that could speak proper English. Highly recommended

Not only is this property impeccably designed, but it's also incredibly functional. We want to highlight the air conditioning – it was exceptionally quiet and positioned in a way that we never felt or heard it running. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient. Recommendation: We would have appreciated a late checkout extending beyond just an additional hour without cost, especially when our room was still available. That would be an excellent perk!

Arbaso is a fantastic hotel with great facilities, lovely and helpful staff and super well located. It was extremely clean and well designed. My husband and I were extremely happy with our stay at Arbaso and highly recommend this hotel. They also have a 24 hour gym and sauna which is a lovely addition.

The personnel at the hotel are top notch. They were so friendly and helpful and made the hotel feel like home the three nights we stayed. We had one issue regarding our room and they more than made it right by us (with great follow up by the manager, who came in on a Saturday). Excellent location and very comfortable beds. We were a bit disappointed by the on-site restaurant. Made to order breakfast could have been better, so we elected not to eat there after our first day. We also were shuttled to a back area of the restaurant while diners not affiliated with the hotel seemed to get window seats. We had one dinner, and it was our opinion that there are better choices in the city for dinner as well. Also no pintxos available at the bar - at least that was what we were told.

The service and quality of this hotel is in my opinion better than many of the 5-star hotels on Europe. We were treated like VIPs from the point of checking in. Valet service was easy to use, just leave the car by temporary parking lots and they will park the car for you. They can also charge the car for you if you drive an EV. Huge rooms and the hotel has a nice smell. Love the private sauna (subject to availability). Their restaurant (Narru) serves really good quality food too. We only stayed for a night as we were on our way to south of Spain, and we really wished we could stay longer.

My husband and I loved Arbaso Hotel and the location is perfect for taking tours and to go for pintxos. From many hotels including Ritz Carlton and Conrad we have stayed in; this one for sure left an indelible mark, in a positive way! As soon as we got out of our car by valet parking, we were received by Adrian, a wonderful person who not only helped transport our luggage to our rooms, showed some of the features of our room but also shared information on where we could go to see part of the Game of Thrones shooting that took place on the Itzurun Beach in Zumaia. He shared that information when I mentioned that we are fans of Game of Thrones. What struck us upon setting foot inside the hotel, the staff of Arbaso- were pleasant, genuine, welcoming, warm, and ready to check us in. While we couldn't get an upgrade because the hotel was full and there was a football match, we still loved our stay. Unlike other hotels, this hotel sets apart from the rest by removing barriers between the customers, which us, and the staff for check-in and check-out. I liked this concept about Arbaso, where the staff was sitting at the long table and not behind the counters like most hotels. This removal of barriers makes it more personable and the hiring of the "right" staff adds a warm reception. The service was immaculate and while that is important, it is the staff that adds warmth to the experience! I have to say it is your staff, and the "right" staff for the check-in and check-out that highlighted our stay at Arbaso, they need to be recognized and are of much deserving accolades. Their names are: Begona, Inaki, Miriam, Gorka (front table check-in and check-out) and of course Adrian. Even on the day of the departure, all of them were wonderful, including Adrian. We will recommend this hotel to our friends and family members. As a couple, we travel a lot and keep on returning to Spain because we love the people of Spain and its culture. If we ever come back to San Sebastian, we plan to stay at Arbaso and hope to get an upgrade next time. Thank you to your wonderful staff and please share this compliment, they are so deserving of recognition.

We stayed for three nights two weeks ago at the hotel arbasso. Was so impressed with this hotel. Gorgeous feel to it. We booked room only and used to get breakfast in the restaurant ourselves and paid seperately. Was better value this way. restaurant was really cool. Not your usual large hotel conveyor belt stuff. Bedrooms were so clean and new. No complaints at all. Location wise was super, beside the shopping area and 10 mins walk from the old town. Loved it all. San Sebastian is a beautiful city with stunning buildings. Will definitely be back!

Loved this hotel. It did not disappoint at all. Location is great, service so so good, room really well appointed. I booked a junior suite and it was a great size with views of the cathedral. My hire car was easily parked by staff so no hassle if you have a car. Will stay here again for sure.

The best part of Arbaso is the great service. This includes the kind folks working at the front desk, valet as well as WhatsApp hotline. They were able to help with numerous requests (booking taxis, making reservations etc) very quickly and effectively and made us feel very welcome.

This new hotel is simply beautiful with understated elegance and charm topped with extremely helpful and friendly staff at reception and it’s restaurant. Rooms are designed with a Scandinavian influence that are spacious and well appointed. Located in an affluent part of the oh so stunning town of San Sebastián Donostia where you are within walking distance of old town to which you can work up an appetite for one of its 17 Michelin Star restaurants.

We stayed here for 8 nights for our Honeymoon and had a lovely time! The staff are phenomenal: so kind, helpful, and friendly. They helped me to book in-room massages for the day we arrived and that was the best decision I made. The lobby is meant to feel like home and it truly does—especially when the fire is going. The location is also great, it is an easy walk anywhere in the city. Although the hotel is close to a church, the church bells never bothered us. The sound proofing is great. And the bells don’t chime all day. They never woke me up in the morning or during my afternoon nap. A bit about the rooms: each one has a story which is wonderful. We stayed in a Junior suite, which had. A bedroom, living room, and bathroom. The bathroom had a bidet toilet seat, rainfall shower and a soaking tub which was amazing! It also had a double sink. We loved the rainfall shower—it is so refreshing, especially after a long day. The hotel also has a steam room and sauna you can reserve—we tried both and they were great. Also the pillow menu was amazing! You can pick your pillow! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The decor is modern and is quality. We also tried the hotel restaurant and it was delicious! If you come to San Sebastián you must stay here!

Stayed January 2023 I stayed here for one night and I really liked this place. The room was small as most regular hotel rooms in Spain unless you are willing to pay the extra price. The room was small but it had everything you need and more. Very clean and modern design within the room. Staff was great from the beginning. Parking was very straight forward. Lots of technology throughout the place. One cool feature was a neat Bluetooth speaker you could bring anywhere (except with you on the trip home 😆). I would stay here again. I did take the pen. If you stay, you’ll see why the pen is so cool.

Staff are super nice and friendly. We got a regular king bed room at first, it was a bit small, so we upgraded to a loft and we were happy. Rooms are nicely designed.

Great hotel. We stayed in the duplex room on the 5th floor which was fantastic. Even a rainy day doesn’t matter here (sauna in the basement!). The location is perfect to explore san Sebastián. The staff is super nice and helpful (especially the young woman with the curly hair).

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Great design, quiet, but central location. Feels luxurious but modern, great staff. Will 100% stay here next time back in San Sebastián

It´s not so often you´re so positively surprised. From A to Z, everything was absolutely perfect : nicely welcomed to take stuff from the car and park it for us, super fast check-in with person really taking time to explain us what is around and best spot to eat, amazing room furnished with high end stuff (santa cole lighting, espresso, Samsung TV and tablet,...) Really can´t complain about anything, 10/10 !!! Thanks a lot.

A pretty nice hotel on par with Park Hyatts, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I'm told they opened spring of 2019, just as the Covid shut down everything, so this hotel is pretty much new throughout. Free electric bicycle available for guests was real nice. Location is at the heart of new part of Saint Sebastian with a lot of shopping. There is a large supermarket and a corner market within a couple of blocks. Agoda sold me an upgraded room but the hotel initially refused to honor. After a few minutes of discussion, I was given a nice corner room with a view to a cathedral. Oyana, I think, was the person who helped me. Only thing I missed was that nothing was open after 10pm in or around the property.

Stunning hotel. We stayed two nights in their duplex suite and enjoyed the impeccably designed, spacious room. We were nervous about the ceiling skylights, despite the amazing view of the cathedral just beyond, only to realize they have a blackout curtain system that worked brilliantly. The hotel staff were also beyond amazing, accommodating a few atypical requests that helped us quite a bit, and I'm very thankful for their gracious help. All in all, an amazing stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in San Sebastian.

I was very satisfied with the clean room, kind staff and good location. The hotel has a sauna and fitness room where I was able to relieve the tiredness of my trip. Above all, the kind and helpful staff made me happy 😊 If we have a chance to visit San-Sebastian again, I will definitely chose the hotel.

Great service and really nice rooms. Many speak english and tolerate Americans attempting spanish or basque. The restaurant is excellent! Get the hake, you will love it.

Staff were very professional! Place was very clean and smelled amazing! Very in fashion and up to date! Location was so central and the hotel offers a very useful vallet service so if you have a car there is no need to worry about finding parking!

This was my favorite hotel that we stayed at during our trip in Spain. The hotel staff is so accommodating, the rooms were very stylish and neat, and of course the location is perfect. Also, the restaurant attached is awesome!

Beautiful hotel! The rooms were very clean, neat and minimalist, just how I like it. I loved the tech with the ipad and the electronic windows and blinds. Breakfast was beautiful. The hotel is located in the New Town, a really lovely walk away from the old town, not too far, but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. I would definitely return.
