Visited this lovely looking place for a wedding this week. Very pleasing to the eye but honest opinion it's not worth the amount they charge for rooms. We where unable to get in to our rooms before the wedding ceremony and had to travel a long distance trying not to mess up our outfits. There is NO lift to reach the higher floor if you are less able bodied. The wedding dinner service was slow and the meat served had massive amounts of fat running right through the middle, it was nasty most was leftover. The wedding itself was absolutely beautiful, set up lovely and immaculate, everyone had a great time from start to finish. The surroundings are very pleasing on the eyes too for some great pictures. We all have different opinions and this was mine 😊

Sat at our table at 4pm and main course arrived at 4:40 it was nice. We were asked at 5.05pm if we would like a dessert but we were still waiting on the sweet menu arriving at 5:40pm, finally got our dessert at 6:10pm and soon after that were told we need to vacate the table for the next person. How ironic as the only reason we were still there was because of the very, very poor service provided by the hotel, nearly 2 1/2 hours for 2 courses is not good. Won't be back.

Stayed here for a few weeks on a work trip. The rooms are very nice, and the beds are probably the comfiest I've ever slept in. The staff are very friendly and the food was exceptional. Everything is reasonably priced 5/5 would recommend.

The Artistic Haven Hotel was a true masterpiece. The hotel's art installations and decor were captivating, creating an immersive experience. Our room was elegantly designed, and we felt like we were staying in a gallery. The staff's knowledge of local artists added an extra layer to our visit. This is a must for art enthusiasts.

My wife and I got married here recently. The service from every single member of staff was absolutely spot on, they made our day feel very personal and special. Our wedding coordinator, Nicole, was sincerely excited and all round fantastic, the full day went better than either of us could have ever expected. Everybody agreed rooms were perfect and absolutely worth their price.

Evening meal with a group of friends. Nice setting for the Hotel and pleasant dining room. Service was very slow, perhaps a few more staff on a busy Friday night might help. Our meal was OK, but nothing special, I don't think we will rush back.

Absolutely beautiful. The rooms are pristine and very large. Food is top notch and plentiful. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel

We had family staying with us from Canada. We went to the Dalmeny for dinner as it's local. They loved everything from the food to the surroundings. The service from the staff was 1st class, they helped me out when I had forgotten to bring a birthday cake for my niece's birthday. Thankyou to all the staff.

20 minutes (off peak) from either the airport or the city. This hotel is not disappointing with very nice decor and lovely rooms which are clearly aimed way above most hotels. The restaurant is again, plush and the menu is varied with a good balance of choice. I had the spiced butterfly chicken with Nann bread and rice which was fresh and nicely spiced. It is clear that the ingredients are fresh and I would suggest that nothing is bought in. Breakfast is more of the same with lovely freshly cooked food. The staff are personable and professional. I will definitely return.

What a fantastic stay we had a couple of weekends ago. Originally we were booking tickets for the ladies ABBA night and ended up staying. This is a really nice hotel with beautiful gardens and outdoor patio area but best of all is the food we had an afternoon tea when we arrived which was reasonably price. Dinner which was included in the price of the evening ticket and a fab cooked breakfast in the morning I would highly recommend this wee place

We had booked an afternoon tea for two persons. We were warmly welcomed and looked after for our entire stay. Staff were professional and friendly and very attentive. The service and food was fresh delicious and there was plenty of it. The room and the grounds of the hotel are fabulous. We had a ball. Highly recommended.

Nice place food was good, service was terrible. There was plenty of staff, it wasn't that busy. The server who seated us was just so rude, didn't acknowledge us ,say hello or even look at us . He just fumbled with menu's for a while then pointed and walked off .we were all looking at each other thinking is this guy for real. I'm going with perhaps he didn't speak English. I had a steak which was good it came with a tomato one mushroom and a small amount of chips. Not quite a hungry man's dinner. I will try again just incase I went on the day the manager phoned in sick .

This is a great local hotel. Very modern on the inside but yet looks a bit like castle outside. Thought it would have been a bit bigger inside. Rooms are good size but function rooms a bit small.

Wedding Reception - Location good, Surrounding and decor was on point. Service at bar quick, enough staff to serve, Dinner ran over into evening entertainment. Dinner was fine. All in all a fantastic day in lovely surroundings.

We came for a family Christmas meal..the food was excellent the staff were very accommodating as we had my assistance dog Lily with us.. particularly Andrew and Lynne nothing was too much bother and our party was very happy with the experience. The disabled toilets were great plenty of room to move around with the dog which isn't alwaya possible even in disabled toilets. We will definitely be returning it was a enjoyable relaxed experience not always with an assistance dog Top marks all round

Lovely afternoon with friends. Lovely food and great service. Unfortunately teenage birthday party with girls running wild. Felt sorry for staff trying to control them while parents let it happen 😔

Went for a family meal. First time there since restuarant had been refurbished, night and day from how it used to look. Lovely meal, great service, great setting. Definitely be back...

Was there for a funeral unfortunately, but venue was great, staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Finger food buffet was excellent. Would go back another day.

I haven’t stayed here, so can’t comment on the stay but we dined here. We came for lunch, got offered the lunch menu. It was expensive in all honesty for what you got. It was nice, the fish goujons were great, but for £40 for 2 lunch dishes, and 2 kids mains (only water at the table) it was pricey. Beautiful decor.

We had our daughters wedding there, stayed a few nights, everything was first class. The staff were fantastic, especially Gemma. Couldn't fault it in any way, Would totally recommend it.

Food was fantastic and no complaints whatsoever and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. Arrived for lunch at 3.30pm. On arrival shown to a table and asked for our drinks which then took 15 minutes to arrive only after going to the bar area to ask for them. We then had to go to the bar once again for water/coffee/lager as no service at all later on. Very disappointed in the service and felt as though quite glad to clear tables rather than concentrate on diners. Level of service would put me off in the future and to promote within a business environment.

I stayed for 2 nights for my daughter's wedding. The night before we slept in a dirty bed and the toilet ran the whole night. I have pics and a video of these issues but unfortunately can't upload them. The 2nd night my grandson was made to sleep in a travel cot without a mattress. The food was disappointing too. I have had much better experiences with cheaper accommodations. Most of the staff were very nice. On the surface this place looks lovely but underneath absolutely disappointing and not anywhere near value for money. I would advise people not to waste their hard earned money by staying here.

Lovely place to meet someone for a nice coffee/tea and cake. Really good selection of vegan cakes too. I particularly enjoyed the lemon cheesecake type one. Lovely view of the gardens and the place has really nice clean decor. Staff are helpful and friendly without being intrusive.

Beautiful property and nice room. The only drawback was the room above the main entrance was a bit noisy late into the night with people departing and the door closing passes noise into the room. The highlight was dinner, with wonderfully prepared dishes with complimenting flavors and much thought put into the pairings. Lovely and attentive staff in the dining room.

I attended a wedding at this hotel. Staff were very efficiant and helpful. Starter of haggis was very good as was dessert. I was disappointed with main course, the chicken was rubbery and couldn't work out what the sauce was. The vegetables with it were hard and barely cooked.

  • 4/5 Diane B. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely meal (dinner) but having waited 40 minutes for our starter, and staff with no idea when food would come, we rushed through two courses in 20 minutes, as we were going to an event. Had to ask and pay for meal during main course so we could leave quickly. Appeared to be wedding and another function on, so assuming kitchen was dealing with their meals

Attended a wedding here. Venue is beautiful and reasonably priced drinks. Downside was the dance floor wasn't assembled properly and got my heel stuck twice before taking shoes off. Food was delicious however a long wait time after the ceremony which may well have been the happy couple's choice.

We were here for a wedding. Nice venue. Staff were excellent. Good service from everyone. The rooms were lovely and very spacious. The only problem we had, was, someone came into right into our room as we were asleep at 1.30am then someone came to the door trying to get in after that. I never slept a wink after that as I was terrified someone else would come in. Complained to reception but they could offer no explanation as to how that could have happened!! Ruined what was a nice day..I have marked the room down soley because of the incident otherwise it would have been 5 stars😠

We booked the Rose room for a small party of 24 people to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary on Friday. Everything from the booking to the party was perfect we and our guest were delighted by everything from the decor in the room our private bar. The food was beautiful the staff could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend anyone wishing to have a small intimate gathering to consider this venue 10 /10 A special thank you for Katlyn for keeping in touch throughout the process and ensuring everything was in place absolutely great service. Thanks again Margaret + Vic

I got married here at end of June and stayed the night before and in the honeymoon suite. I cannot fault any of the staff there they are all amazing and go above and beyond. The food was spectacular and with special mention to Rebecca Graham not only was she a godsend to the bridal party, but our guests also noticed how she made everything go to plan and if anything needed attention it was sorted immediately. A great place to stay with beautiful rooms and character and in a very scenic location.

Lovely place, not far from Paisley and A wee bit farther Glasgow City centre. The Dalmeny is a very popular wedding venue, anniversary parties and Christmas lunches, dinners and parties. Also has the beautiful Orchid restaurant. My partner and I stayed 2 nights bed and breakfast, we also had dinner one day and afternoon tea, sandwiches and cakes the next afternoon. The rooms were lovely and very clean, the staff wonderful, and the food was delicious. We will be back.
