Oran's Opera House was built in 1908 and restored in 2008.  It was modelled on the one in Paris and during the French occupation, it hosted some of the biggest French and foreign entertainment acts.  Now as then, the opera has retained its function as the entertainment centre of the city and the region.  Located on the Place du 1er novembre; formerly the Place d'armes, the opera has retained all its majesty.  I was able to visit that place in 2014 and marvelled at its architecture and grandeur.

The regional theater or Annaba is considered one of the most ancient artistic places because it is the oldest theater in Algeria. The building of the theater dates back to 1899 and was destroyed by German aviation in World War II. The theater performs several major artistic and cultural activities, and participates in cultural life by presenting concerts, holding exhibitions, and organizing artistic and political seminars. You can go and enjoy the performances of the historical theater.

Aside from the amazing architecture and the history in every wall, I don't know if it's one in time thing or it's in their new program, I attended a literature cafe with the Colombian author Edouardo Gracia Aguilar and the Colombian consul, it was an amazing experience with some wonderful people and some interesting facts, hope we have more of it
