It's an old house that was updated and renovated to be a B&B! It's a short trike ride away from the crowd of Bantayan by Kota Beach, best for those folks who want the serenity the place brings. The place only has 5 rooms depending on the number of guests, which makes for a quiet and peaceful stay! Beach isn't the best vs Kota or Paradise / Sandira Beach (since it's rocky) but privacy wise - wow! We sat on the beach snorkeling by ourselves for the entire afternoon (seeking shade with the limestone rocks) but we only saw 3 kids and the occasional boat passing by. Rooms are basic but everything is fully functional, design is well thought of. WiFi is decent, but repeaters would be best as the signal is strong only within the front part of the place. Basic breakfast is provided, but you need to look for your own lunch and dinner. There's a small sari-sari store nearby for your other needs. (Vodka, Gin, etc.) We were able to borrow the kitchen for some cooking also after buying from road side vendors, freshly caught clams and scallops for ₱175 in 2022 is amazing value for money! Definitely recommended for the crowd who wants the off-the-beaten-path locations, that homey and chill feel!

I would highly recommend for a getaway with your special someone or even with your family. The place has a quaint vibe to it, and it has it's own beachfront where you can request a private dinner (best for anniversary celebrations or stuff like that). The rooms were really nice and the place was away from the crowded touristy areas, but close enough for a 2 minute motorcycle ride to the center. I would recommend that you rent a motorcycle if you're planning to stay here for a few days. This place is just awesome and the staff are super 👌

Parking is fairly limited, room was sufficient but not much more. Good value, small breakfast. Pleasant grounds with nice view of the ocean, rocky shore fun to explore, but not much Beach. Located away from the main town but near other beaches.

I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The place is really lovely and somewhat private. Instagrammable scenes everywhere. The pool is unexpectedly really clean. The breakfast are a treat. The room is somewhat smaller than I would have preferred though. The beach is so clear. Staff are hospitable. The place is screaming peace of mind. The location is a little far from the Sta Fe proper. That could be a good thing if you don't want crowds of tourist. The road however is quite challenging because it's not paved, and there are always patches of mud which you should consider if you're riding a big bike such as myself.

The place was amazing! It felt like we were on our honeymoon! Hahaha the pool was super clean and the complementary bfast was superb! The place is also far from the noise of the city, but basically it’s like living with kind of a mountain ambiance because of it being so peacefully relaxing while at the beach, So relaxing, very friendly staff and it’s a must that you request them to eat breakfast at the table near the sea. You can really relax and recharge here. Wifi connection is also good.

This was my favourite accomodation on my month long trip in the Philippines. The staff are wonderful, warm & friendly. The accomodation is gorgeous. Stunning design. I loved the outdoor space. We relaxed by the pool, snorkelled on the beach, ate breakfast outside everyday. A trip into town daily is included in the room rate.

The Kangdugyap House by the Sea is the one of the Movie Location of Camp Sawi, a 2016 Viva films movie. They shoot here for 2 days, Bella and Sam Clip. Visited here also was Zsa Zsa and her Husband and others Celebrities. We stayed here for 2 days to Celebrate the Gender reveal of my Sister's soon to be. The beach and the infinity pool is clean, the ambience is Good, the place is Instagramable, the rooms are elegant and clean. The owner is very friendly and kind, lending their extra untensils for cooking. By far the best resort I visited in Bantayan Island. I will be back!

Such a lovely place and such lovely people. I had the most relaxing time by the sea and by the pool. The staff helped me get around and anticipated my needs. If you are looking for a beautiful, clean, and quiet resort on Batanyan Island I recommend Kandugyap.

View, pool, and room are amazing. Nice sunset view. Private beach side. Breakfast is good. Downside is that there is no resto on site and limited delivery options. Overall, it's a good place and we had a wonderful stay

This place is a must when you visit Bantayan Island if you want a quiet and peaceful vacation. Also, this is the only place in the island where we were able to eat without flies.

Nice location when you are going to visit The Ruins and OMAGIECA mangrove garden. If you are going to stay here for vacation, don’t forget to bring your own vanities. I haven’t enjoyed the sea here for a swim because of the big waves due to Habagat, The pool water is cold even at noon. The breakfast is good, but they don’t offer lunch and dinner here. Overall the place is nice, but the location is a little bit far from the restaurants.

The resort's location by the sea was perfect for all kind of water activities and the beach was just steps away from the room. The resort also had a great pool and a bar where you can enjoy a cold drink with your friends. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun and exciting beach vacation. Five stars all around, this place is straight fire!

To those who are nature lovers, this place is perfect for you. You will love the perfect greenery, the amenities are outstanding. You will definitely enjoy your stay. I suggest you stay longer so you can maximize all that they can offer. If I can only stay here forever!

One of the nicer places on Bantayan Island. Well maintained with a clean pool. It is small and a bit isolated.

During our 3 nights at this hotel, we felt well looked after by the friendly and helpful staff. Umbrellas were quickly provided on rainy days and advice and helpful information given throughout our stay. Our room was lovely and clean and the hotel is in a great location for travelling anywhere in the city. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

Kandugyap House is so nice place and good view, i stay here with my friend for almost 1 week we are comfortable and happy while stay because its clean and the staff are friendly and talkative i like they service, so if you go in cebu choose this place i promise you like it very much. Poor handling and very unprofessional management. Booked a staycation for 1 night a week before. I made the 50% deposit on August 19th, it was smooth at first, and they confirmed payment went thru and they got all the necessary details (guests' names, etc.). The owner is in charge of transaction when you contact them directly thru their FB Page. On the scheduled day (August 27), we parked our car inside, done filling up the forms at their frontdesk. We were then told where our room was. My kids enjoyed it inside not until, an hour or so passed, they knocked on the door and told us that there has been a mistake - it was not our room and our names were not even on the guest list for that day. Since it was fully booked, they offered a separate place (owner's relative residence) somewhere downtown proper Sta. Fe and was told that we "can visit back to the resort to use the facilities/amenities". Imagine the inconvenience. Worst part, when I demanded for a phone call to talk to the owner herself, the staffs refused to give me her contact details. However, I managed to get her phone number (when I remembered I paid my deposit thru GCash) - first 2 calls rejected immediately and I kept on calling until I got a text from her with many reasons (or should I say alibi?). There was an apology sent via text, but for me, it was not even sincere one. Most of other resorts that day were full packed - the trouble of finding a place to stay. So think twice or atleast confirm it numerous times ahead when considering this resort. For me, it was enough, I would never recommend this to my friends and relatives.

When we arrived at the port it was quite difficulty to get a hold of the shuttle or transport that was marketed in the Agoda page of the resort. We had to get a trike and found out the location was quite far from the city center but despite all of this me and my partner loved the concept of the place. We can overlook the extra couple of minutes distance of the location and hard to grasp reception because of the house by the sea concept executed well. I liked the design language and overall coziness of the resort. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived because the rooms were limited and the coordination went well between me, the resort, and Agoda. The service was also great when we arrived at the resort. Our requests and questions were answered by staff which were present 24/7. The room had quality where it mattered. The water heater was brand new and up to standard and the room had enough amenities. Overall, I can recommend this if you truly want to disconnect and hiring a trike or renting a motorbike is alright for you to compensate for the distance from the city center. Yes the wifi wasn't consistent but the beauty from start to finish wowed us at every step.

Best if you’re renting a motorcycle. Near the Ruins and Sandira beach. Power went off for a few hours during the last night of our stay and they didn’t have a generator. (Not sure if generators are common in this area). But overall we had a pleasant stay. Beautiful property

Well-maintained, clean pool and surroundings, approachable staff, free kitchen use, delicious breakfast that is delivered to you room or anywhere you want inside the resort and very serene. Even the cheapest room has refrigerator which is very convenient. Nice room 💗

Agreement was done beforehand but the owner was not that transparent and changes our booking. Fairly disappointed how they handle such conflict with them. I heard her saying also na dili ko dawaton kay basin mag covid positive ko kay nurse ko.

I really enjoyed my short stay here. It's perfect for those who wants to avoid crowded places. You have a small beach area to yourself. Breakfast is also free. They dont serve lunch or dinner but Athena Greek restaurant is just a few minutes walk from Kandugyap amd they also deliver. Staff are also accommodating and nice. Room was well maintained and they have hair blowers too. The only con is the signal is weak since its a bit secluded but they have wifi. Very IG worthy place

One of the best place to stay in Bantayan. Not really cost that much but it gives you a very solemn place you can relax. Also very close to tourist spots around Bantayan.

The place was really nice and has its own mini beach. It’s near to some attractions but far from the port. If you wanna relax and chill, it’s the place to be.
