!!VACATIONERS MUST READ!! The service here is not up to the standard. The resort canceled our buffet breakfast and their explanation is that because other guests(not with us) that booked thru their online booking(agoda) didn’t make it to their reservations last night, so they cancelled the buffet breakfast. -which doesn’t make sense, one of the reasons why we choose this resort is because of the buffet breakfast and traveling with a big group(13adults 2kids) is a must. And it doesn’t make sense for the Resort to cancel the buffet for everyone else that’s staying here, just because some guests that booked thru their online booking did not make it. It’s not fair for everyone else that was promised a buffet breakfast and already paid. Make it make sense!! Rooms are also not up to date, so many broken things that is poorly fixed. My advice to you if you are staying here for the first time, is to be careful when you use their things. You know what they say “you break it, you pay for it.” Everything is a one star but I wish I could give zero. The location is very nice and that’s why it’s a 3 star but I wouldn’t recommend it here, the view is not worth it enough to stay here because of the service. There are so much better places with nice a nice view and better service.

Overall a good place to stay. They tried when we arrived to give us a very ugly room on the street side with the door on the balcony that couldn’t be closed. We asked for change and they gave us a more spaced room with a good view on the sea. The only negative point that I didn’t like was during a breakfast: they’ve brought us one without bacon a saying that was finished and after they’ve served other clients arrived immediately after us the breakfasts with bacon. A resort like this shouldn’t never run out of things and serve all the clients at the same way.

Nice hotel but no pool, beach is great and it's close to other restaurants and bars

This place appears to have been here a long time. Service was good. The guard was helpful and easy to talk to. My only complaint is the rooms. They smell musty a bit and the shower/sink water smells horrible. Walls have been painted dozens of times. Towels feel like they're 40 years old, like sandpaper. Other that I enjoyed my stay and would come back. The price of 3,600 PHP for a deluxe room seems exceptionally high.

Staff is very nice. Place is clean. Everything works. Price is high for PH but normal in this island.

The staff and the service of this place is great very courteous and pleasant people. It's nice they picked you up at the Sante Fe port to the hotel and vice versa comfy van. The plater breakfast is way better than their buffet breakfast. You can't really swim the beach at the property because of seaweeds and big waves we had to go to other place just to swim with clean and calm water. You can't use the internet inside the room only in the balcony.

Nice place, we got the beach front room,stayed three nights,wifi ok,breakfast included,transport to the ferry included. Overall good but not cheap.

Fair price for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), free breakfast(with the room), very clean room, we stayed 4 nights overall (2 nights, change hotel for one night, then came back 2 more nights). Wifi is everywhere, inside the bedroom, outside in the garden, in the restaurant, on the beach, everywhere. The staff is very friendly, always smiling, and the last day they even asked us before checking out if we would like them to buy tickets for the ferry, they did it even for our car, we just have to go directly on the ferry with our car. That was a very nice attention! Thank you to every one in this hotel to have helped us make our holidays, a nice and enjoyable holidays. I strongly recommend this hotel.

I had a pleasant stay in Marlins. Good place and also the beach and the service as well coz the staff are friendly.

Spacious room.. clean. Affordable and staff is very nice.. but no early check in for this hotel.

Marlin’s Beach Resort is sooo underrated! I did my booking direct to their fb page. Room is offered with breakfast buffet, van shuttle to and from the hotel, beachfront, plus very near Kota Beach and MJ Square (Food Place). The frontdesk was attentive and the place is secure. I don’t understand the bad reviews here.

Have been staying at this place several times as its one of the most convenient places to stay. Everything is walking distance away. Place is clean and service is great. A pool would be a great addition. I would come back to Marlins in the future.

Amazing place to stay. Right by the beach. Comfortable rooms with nice balconies and amazing cleaning staff. All the hotels staff are extremely friendly and service minded. The beach is so beautiful and the hotel is located right next to the bars, restaurants and shops but still in a calm street so easy to sleep. The breakfast was good and could choose between three different sets but loved the variation in each set also. Like different bread, different fruit, different jam from day to day. We can only highly recommend people to choose this hotel. Thanks for 7 amazing nights and thanks to all your staff from the reception, security, restaurant staff, cleaning and beach staff. All truly try make it a special stay for the guests.

Located not too far away from the port, around 1.4km. Stayed at their Standard room. Costs around php5k good for 4 pax. Check-in process was smooth and their office was nice. For the standard room it's a one king size and one double bed set-up. There's TV but remote seems to be missing. Has refrigerator and Bathroom has water heater that occasionally goes very hot even when not switched to heat. Room is quite large with balcony. There's no coastline during hightide since they constructed a quay instead. Wide coastline during low tide. Nice sunbeds outside some even with canopies. Breakfast buffet is included. Food selection is okay, always with dried fishes and some fruits. They have their own restaurant which was still under renovation. Food price was quite expensive especially when there are better and cheaper options around. Crew were all responsive with our questions and requests. All in all it was a great experience. It's a walk away around the coastline to Kota beach where they have barbeque and billiards. Might recommend to friends if they ask for places to stay in Bantayan Island.

Buyer Beware! I will start positive and say I would have given the hotel 1 star if it were not for housekeeper Auntie Rose! She is amazing, very nice and accomodating. Her service is above what the hotel has to offer!. The food was not half bad my compliments to the chef! If you must stay here after reading my review I recommend the Chili Garlic Crab! Delicious!!! NOW FOR THE REAL REVIEW! The rooms do not look like the pictures!! Very old fashioned. Air Conditioner makes loud humming noise even when it is cut off. Refrigerator did not work. TV did not work. WiFi is non-existent! Bed is okay! Just....okay! I requested to have my food delivered to my room one day because too many flies outside but they said they couldnt because it would damage the air conditioner and ants! However if you sit at the restuarant outside, the flies that assault you and your food are completely okay! I was told there are flies everywhere! In a condescending way! Bantayan is a beautiful place the hotel is right on the beach but so is every other hotel here so when I return I will NOT stay here by any means.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my gf. Wonderful place. Beautiful beach. Comfortable rooms. No hot water but who cares. It’s 30 degrees. Stay here over Kota beach resort.

The place is nice.👌 Staff 👌 Room is clean.👌 Breakfast Buffet 👌 Near MJ Square (lotsa food stalls)👌 Fine beach sand 👌 Pet friendly 😍 Rooms not sound proof 👎 No blanket 👎 Pet friendly 🐶👌 Well, they have a blanket but it was so thin it is the same as having no blanket at all. I got sick because of the cold weather on my 3rd night. 😳

Staffs - very friendly and so accommodating (5 stars) Food - Delicious and big servings (5 stars) Room - Big and Spacious yet not 100% clean. Has a lil smell and CR isnt 100% sanitized. (3 stars) No TV, no telephone. (0 stars) Overall, I am more concerned on room accommodation.

It was our first time in Sta. Fe, and we expected a lot more but very very disappointed with all the sandbags and tires plotted at the beach... Kinda took the natural looks of the amazing sandy beach.... Also water heater didnt work, no international channels. So we didnt have enough time to even enjoy there but excited to just get out and go to next resort.. which we got better deal and better view of the amazing longest sandy beach ive ever been to.

Nice quiet place - the rooms are good (you only sleep and Rest there anyway so No need of super fancy stuff, but what you got was good. Shower could might need a Renovation but the water itself was nicely warm/cold however you Liked it.. I cant complain at all One night we Had a weird Meeting of a anomal on Top of the light Wall but Then never again. And Ants Loved our place even before we checked in - but got rid of them easily. But all in one i was very satisfied with the room, the food and the Service
