Simple accommodations but in each hut you have everything you need - beds, fans, a CR and windows to open for the wonderful breeze. We found the staff to be wonderfully friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well-maintained when we were there. The beachfront is small, but you aren't restricted to using the space immediately in front of the resort. You can wander in either direction where you can visit with local children and watch them play in the sand. The beach here is clean and the water is clear and warm - perfect for a swim or just wading to cool off. The resort is under a wonderful canopy of coconut palms so there's lots of shade. The restaurant served good food at a good price. You could order whatever you wanted and they would bring it to your hut. This place holds special memories for us and I would love to go back.

TL;DR: I suggest one night for the experience, no more, unless you're ok with the thoughts below...on second thought, maybe just visit the area and that's it. Notes: I found the constant wind and surf to be very peaceful, especially at night, but, there are overall much, much better options for accommodations available on the island elsewhere. I really want to give this place a three, or least a two star because of its overall appearance...but I can't bring myself to do it. A two would be too generous given how much there is going against it. Pros/Cons: - This is the windward side of the island. The wind is strong and steady, with unmaintained beaches [read: seaweed...lots, and lots...and some trash from locals]. - Roosters in the next door shanty villages on both sides start in full force at about 530/6am, and last for about an hour or two. Don't plan on sleeping in. The roosters, along with pigs and cows can be heard intermittently throughout the day and night. - Zero food present after 11 am, next closest is Anika, about a 10 minute beach walk, which is way over priced. - Breakfast is simple, and not included in the price. - Extremely limited for beer and water. - Kind and friendly, but fairly inept staff, especially when trying to effectively communicate directions, or arrange scooter rentals. - Clean, relatively spacious studio style huts with differing internal murals, with a foam block as a mattress. - Showers are cold only, and for me, water from it leaked out of the bathroom into the bedroom. - WiFi is only in reception area.

The place was outdated. They only have a small area where you could access the wifi. Our cottage was a bit dark and I feel like the space wasn’t used right. The only thing I liked during my stay was the beach.

Good and helpful people who work there. They can help you have massage people come there. They even ordered a pizza for us, though we tipped them for that. A modest beach is close with boats around.

this was the resort that we spent our first night in the island. the place was quiet but a bit small. we love the cottages there. it's so cute. 😂😂😂 the annoying part is that the nieghbors definetely have a piggery business. how we knew? we smelled it. 😔

Saint Bernards Beach Resort needs lot of improvements when it comes to marketing, ads and resort facility. But over all Saint Bernards provides well relax and peaceful experience.

Pro -Friendly Staff -Beach front -Quiet Cons -Pretty basic and smaller than I expected -Rooms were dimly lit -No dining options -Location was pretty bad, you'd literally need to rent a bike to go places Conclusion Wouldn't stay again, but does the trick if you're just looking for a place to crash while on the island

St. Bernard is a beachfront resort and is located along Anika Beach Resort. It has around 6-8 cottages with air-condition and own bathroom and the price is reasonable. 5-10 mins drive to MJ Square, 10-20 mins drive to Paradise Beach and The Ruins. St. Bernard is perfect if you are looking for a place where you can sleep peacefully at night and wake up to the relaxing sound of waves.
